There is some truth in what you say

Of this poor old beggar

On the streets of a barren world

 

Of all the things you have told me

The simple truth was the best I knew

And yet I was blind to see past it all

 

It seems that arrogance was the factor at play

But the time has come for me to realize

My own intentions are malignant

And that there is some truth in what you say.

I was talking to my brother about something back in September about the word "understanding" and asked him if he would sit with a homeless person and talk with them.

"No..." he says.
"Well i bought one a beer and a pack of smoke and sat with him a good couple hours while he begged for money." I said looking off in the distance. "I met someone with a kinder heart then some people I've met that believe they have happiness and success. When you can do that and understand that and have their begging not bother you, then you will understand universal love..."
