Well I think everyone has just been having conversations to keep the RP going right now, I know you're busy and all but even if you could just post to say that we are moving on or something Descant, it would help to keep us going. I'm sure i'm not the only one with nothing to post in this RP i'm just waiting, and as I said I think Flame and Aqua are just having a conversation to keep something going. (and I know I dont take part in any other RPs at the same time, because then i'd end up being less active in each one)

I just don't want you arguing in my thread. Simple as that. I don't see it as an overreaction. And your metaphor doesn't make logic. I don't mind being corrected. And yes, maybe Dolan started it, but usually both participants are punished in these scenarios, not just the initiator. And you were slinging insults back; don't be high-and-mighty.

All i a am saying is that you should not threaten to take me out of the RP so suddenly, if you ask me to stop arguing then its done. And btw the four or five days we spent in the same place, where you did not reply once but managed to reply in the other RP's that you are in, the one where me, flame dancer and frostbite where creating convo so the RP did not die, that was when the RP was dying and we prevented it, and yet you have a go at us saying that we were ignoring the fact that you wanted a break from it? if you had a break that would be it, you would have to have dolan in there to keep it going, because you know he talks and argues with him self.

I'm going to have to spell this out for you, aren't I?

 

DMing a RP takes much more time and effort than just participating in one, which is why I'm able to be in other RPs. I have to come up with everything myself to keep this one going - the plot, the monsters we run into - as well as deal with pointless kerfuffles like that argument you were just having with Dolan, and the one we're having right now. I'm sorry if you don't agree with my methods, but I've been incredibly stressed lately because I'm doing horribly in my classes and I need to devote more time to studying and doing homework then I am and I've been trying to extricate myself from roleplaying of all sorts some so I can study more and do homework without losing sleep but it's not working because people seem to insist on dragging me into more RPs, different RPs, and back into RPs I thought long dead. I'm incredibly stressed, behind on sleep, and have little patience for bullshit like that which you're giving me at the moment. So forgive me for not treating you like a Prince. 

 

When I said 'Take a break from this RP', I implied that everyone should, Aqua. You're tempting me to just close the thing down altogether, so I suggest you stop trying my nonexistent patience.

Look look look, with all due respect man, i'm going to have to step in here - say what you will about it, but it's not going to change my views on this. 

 

You're making things out to be much worse than they are on the forum side of things, there's nothing you are taking part in that you haven't voluntarily stepped into. 

1) Real life has to take priority - that should be considered at all times by everyone. We're not expecting you to fail your classes to take part in a role play, that would be stupid. 

2) If you can't handle everything you're taking on - don't take it all on. It's your own choice to take part in the RPs that you are participating in, nobody tied you to a chair and beat you into it.

3) DMing a RP isn't as bad as you're making out. I've just started DMing a RP myself - fair enough i've not posted that much in it, and I can understand where you're coming from with saying it's hard work because it is. You have to keep things moving at a smooth pace, while keeping it interesting enough for everyone else to enjoy without your constant intervention. By this respect though, it also makes DMing a little easier. You just lay out the scene and let the others do the story. There's more to it than that I know, but those are the basic principles.

 

Now, as for the argument that has been had - Dolan is clearly an asshat and this is exactly what he wants - to be stupid and get a reaction from us all. Aqua made a simple joke in reference to Dolans post, and it was taken the wrong way, to which things got out of hand. There's no need for any of this to go any further, we can all just drop it now and pretend nothing ever happened. Or you can keep arguing for the sake of it, kill of my character, and i'll never bother you again. 

 

Completely up to you where things go from here, i'm just sick of the arguing and would like to move on with the RP when everyone is happy to do so.

Finally, a voice of reason. ((To be fair, I include myself among those who were unreasonable.)) I apologise, Aqua. I might have taken my frustrations at life out on you. I spend all my time behind my cluttered desk in my too-small dorm room with a tiny window. But my point remains valid, as for your point number two, Dusk. I just can't handle as much as I've got going for me at the moment, which is why I wanted to put this RP on hold. I was hoping to continue it anywhere from another week's time to early March, but that's sorta hard to do when people insist on posting in the RP anyway, when I've made it perfectly clear that they should stop posting.

 

I'm trying to do just as much here as I did last semester, but I can't, seeing as how I have 16 credit hours now, as compared to the 12 last semester. That's four more hours of class per week. Physics is just ridiculous, and I'm doing horrible in there, and everything I'm trying to take on here is just adding to my stress levels. My social life is completely nonexistent, too, so throw 'lonely' in with 'frustrated', 'depressed', and 'hates physics'. 

 

 

Enough ranting about how my life sucks, which is why I try so hard to escape into the lives of other people, especially those I invent.

 

I'm sorry, everyone. I've just taken on more than I can handle, and flew off the handle. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. 

 

Would anyone object to me putting this RP on hold for a while longer? Give me a chance to pull my life together?
