It gives her more of a character... because let's be honest here, aside from stubbornness, Applejack is pretty much near perfect. The reason I wasn't including that though, was because the problem seems to be entirely fixed. Applejack has trusted Applebloom ever since that episode, whereas after the Apple Buck Season episode where she learns to not be stubborn, she is still very stubborn at times.
