open Need for Heroes! (Revamp) Role Play

(If I called that too much, Sapphire wouldn't exist. Look, I'll allow a lot, but you need to be able to explain scientifically. And here we use Pony Science, which opens up a lot. Basically, if you can explain it, and it has purpose, I'll allow it most of the time.)

 

Sapphire narrowed her eyes, her eyesight shifting to a more spiritual view. She saw something coming in from the cells, and quickly set up a rune prison around Mirror. "Speedy, I left my Prisonerrs are Escaping brownies on my desk... Can you go get them for me please?" She asked, concentrating on the one spot.

[Nightfall 3,950]

Delphina nodded, "Definately. I'm not even in costume," she said grinning. She leaned into him gently and closed her eyes happily. Love is so blind~

 

He leaned back into her, but not enough to unbalance her.

"It's been so long since we tried to get a date. I'm just happy we're finally having one."

 

Arrow caught Mirror then placed her gently on the ground. "Um...What just happened ?" She asked. And that's when she heard the screams from down the hall. "Is your police station poisoned or something ?" She asked, looking up at Speedy.

Sapphire narrowed her eyes, her eyesight shifting to a more spiritual view. She saw something coming in from the cells, and quickly set up a rune prison around Mirror. Speedy nodded and flew towards the offices. She turned in at an office. She didn't check the name plate outside; she had been with Sapphire long enough to know which office was hers. Her eyes swept the room in desperation until she sat a plate of brownies with a small sticky note on them saying 'Prisoners have escaped!' She grabbed the plate hurriedly, but not trying to spill any, went back to the others.

Delphina nodded, "Alright Captain, where are we going? I'm in the mood for a smoothie, maybe a haycake. A little bit of police handling..." She grinned broadly, "You might have to bring me in officer. I'm a danger to my heart." She was teasing him a little now.

 

Sapphire took the brownies and ate one, blinking. "Ack. The prisoners are escaping. Now I remember what I'm supposed to do!" She took a radio from her belt, and called Den, "Den, you're needed at the station."

 

"Now?"

 

"Yes."

 

"Sorry Patches, I gotta go..." *Sounds of scuffling, and then the noise of being picked up* "Alright Sapphire, I'm ready." Den materialized next to her.

Big Shot repeated Slicer's question. "What have I been doing? Eating, drinking, farting and screwing! Haha!" (That was a little fallout 3 reference.) He grinned, causing his flappy cheeks to cover the sides of his mouth. "Ive got more money than Equestria's gross product! That's why I can afford the best! Of course, nobody gets this rich from playing clean. Manehattan General doesnt get me nearly as much money as I need, but I got a little work around."

 

Shale walked back inside with a plate of drinks on his back.

"A danger to your heart only? You're a danger to my heart as well."

He blushed, only slightly.

"We could go get a smoothie, you could show me the card Speedy got me, and then I'd have to escort you back to your apartment for 'house arrest.'"

He smiled a bit, chuckling.

"I'd have to watch every movement of yours until this 'danger' disappeared."

He was trying to tease her back, and maybe even, as Sapphire asked, 'have fun' with Delphina.

 

"What do I do?"

Speedy shifted her hooves nervously.

Delphina kissed him on the cheek. "Oh, it seems I have gone for help in a place for more dangerous. I may have to lock myself away in my room. I've no idea how I can control myself, let alone both off us." She gave Nightfall the gift card, walking along giddily.

 

Den raised an eyebrow, "Cock your weapon, and pointed at the artificial lifeform. Soul resonance properties tell us that a spirit inside a different body slowly destroys that body, and that a soul has to conquer the other bodies's soul for possession. However, a soulless body will accept a soul, which will destroy it's meta- Whatever's taking the body can't stay there. That's the short version."

"It's always ready to fire," she retorted.

"So what now? Something will take over this body and then what?"

Frey started to spin his front right leg, creating a small air current in the room. "Not much trouble I'll be bothered at that." He said. "We're the only ones here and not a thing goes on the ladder! Whatever this thing youre talking about is, It's got noplace to go!"

Arrow took a few steps back and stood there awkwardly. Feeling unsure what to do to help. *Um...What should I do ?* She thought.

Big shot took a drink for himself and walked out the door. "Come with me, boys." He said. "It's better if I show you this part myself."

 

Heled Slicer through two more hallways before he got to an elevator at the end of a row of guest rooms. "Come inside. We're going down." he said.

Slicer nodded and stepped inside the elevator. "So where are we going now ?" He asked, looking around the Elevator. *You know...In all the movies after the side kick does something like take out other bad guys...the sidekicks boss usually kills him off. Keep a close eye on Big Shot.* *Big wouldn't do that.* He thought.

Big Shot used the elevator controls as a key pad to enter a sequence of numbers. "Let me show you why Manehattan General is so successful." he said.

 

The elevator decended bellow what should have been the bottom floor of the mansion. When the doors opened, they were in a white hallway with one metal door at the end.

Slicer stepped out of the elevator. "Big long scary hallway that leads to the secret of the city huh." He chuckled and happily skipped down the hall next to Big Shot. "Oh...By the way...Sorry about the window in your hospital...I kinda needed to break it to get out." He said.

Démence moved his head up and looked at his... green hooves? It had worked! "Ha! I'm back!" He looked around. "And I'm trapped in another one of these." He saw Frey, and suddenly pounded at the prison. "You." He realized that he had wings, and spread them out, trying to get used to them. "I am going to kill you once I get out of here."

Démence moved his head up and looked at his... green hooves? It had worked! "Ha! I'm back!" He looked around. "And I'm trapped in another one of these." He saw Frey, and suddenly pounded at the prison. "You." He realized that he had wings, and spread them out, trying to get used to them. "I am going to kill you once I get out of here."

Forest raised an eyebrow. "Something has changed about you. And death threats are stupid when you won't be getting out of there." She said, walking a little closer to Mirror's little magical cell and examining it.

"Screw Manehattan." Big Shot said. "This city isnt big enough for me. Im too expensive!" He entered another code on a keypad next to the door and pushed it open. It opened into a chemestry lab the size of a warehouse. The walls were lined with glassws and ovens. Ponies of all sorts were scurrying around, pouring chemicals into flasks and beakers. "I got my boys selling drugs all over the streets, but this is where the real money is made."He said. He picked up a bag of blue powder from a large stack of bags. "This is the most addicting stuff on the market. They call it powdered blue. One pinch of this stuff, and youll be in the clouds for weeks! And once they try it, they cant live a day without it!"

 

He threw the bag back into the pile. "But thats just the way I make my money. Wait till you see what I do with it! I got two more things to show you."

"Demence, kicking Mirror out of her own body wasn't very nice!" Sapphire frowned at him, levitating the brownie tray.

 

Den shook his head, "As far as I know, this pony doesn't care about 'nice,' Sapphire. But it is pretty self destructive. Other than losing your own body, your mind slowly deteriorates from having to fight the new body it inhabits. Basically, you're killing yourself."

 

Delphina giggles, "I'll co-operate, even if it means skipping a few goodies. At least for now. You are much more... Important." She lightly kids him and continued to walk happily.

"Tell me, why do you think I'm fighting anything?" He seemed to calm down a bit. "And the Blank wont care. Now that she is in my body, she wont have any orders nor personality." He glared at Frey with anger. "And, if what you are saying is true, I don't have long to get revenge, so can you just let me out and I'll finish this quickly."

"Tell me, why do you think I'm fighting anything?" He seemed to calm down a bit. "And the Blank wont care. Now that she is in my body, she wont have any orders nor personality." He glared at Frey with anger. "And, if what you are saying is true, I don't have long to get revenge, so can you just let me out and I'll finish this quickly." 

"You changed bodies so you could sit in a cell in that body instead of your zebra body...Alright...Just as long as you are in a cell." She said, Shrugging and sitting down on the desk chair again. "Soooo...It looks like you guys have this under control...are there any objections to me leaving ?" She asked.

"Speedy, did you tag this pony as a hero yet?" Sapphire asked.

 

Den shook his head, mumbling something. He eyed the other 'pony' and went back to looking at Demence.(Just an FYI, Den's a shaman by inheritance. He's not scolding, he's trying to figure this out. It's a puzzle for him that your character would want to be in a polluted city.)

Den shook his head, "She's not a pony. I'm surprised she's even here..." he added the last bit mostly to himself. "Why is a dryad in the city? Shouldn't you be protecting your tree, and the nature around it?" (Just an FYI, Den's a shaman by inheritance. He's not scolding, he's trying to figure this out. It's a puzzle for him that your character would want to be in a polluted city.)

 

"Am I important? Or are you?"

He chuckled a bit more. He smiled a little for the first time in a few days.

 

Speedy looked at the cops and the heroes quickly.

"I did, but I put her as a pony... does this mean I have to redo the file?" She moaned, annoyed. She was a little surprised to find that a nonpony would want to help the police, even if she was a dryad.

Sapphire shook her head, "Nope, I just did." A noise was heard from the filing room as Sapphire closed the drawer. "You can just relax your hooves." She smiled gleefully, bouncing around the room with her brownies.

 

"Ooo, a question for the textbooks. Which is more important... How about we find out while we're under that drrrreadfully boring house arrest," she said grinning. She was happy he was smiling; it made her feel good.

He chuckled a bit more. He smiled a little for the first time in a few days.

"I did, but I put her as a pony... does this mean I have to redo the file?" She moaned, annoyed. She was a little surprised to find that a nonpony would want to help the police, even if she was a dryad.

(OOC: Keep in mind that no one is supposed to know that Arrow is a Dryad.)

 

"Well...Do you have a way you can signal the hero's in the city...Like Fireworks or something. I just think that may be a good idea." She said.

 

 

 

"Of course not." Big shot said as he led them across the room to another hallway. It had three doors: one with a red sign that said EXIT, and two with no labels. He walked over to the unlabeled door on the left and waited. "We're getting to the good stuff now. Let me show you my new toy."

Slicer followed him over to the door. "Is it some sort of poisonous gas thingy ?" He asked, trying to get a glimpse into the room.

Big shot shifted through his coat pocket for his key ring. "Far from it. I used to have a business partner who developed alot of my stuff. The poor guy died recently, but my tech guys managed to salvage some stuff from his old computer. We found some blue prints for a war machine called Gatasubal. It was originally meant for the royal guard, but it was too expensive to make. I, on the other hoof, had plenty of money to create a working copy and add a few modifications." he opened the door and stepped inside. The room was ill lit with a red light. There were three engineers at there own private terminals. Each computer was hooked up to a large, metallic machine with two short legs, a spherical body, and four long arms. The lower set of arms appeared to be tentacles, while the upper arms had large, three pronged claws.

 

"Isn't she pretty?" Big Shot asked. "I uploaded it with an AI we found in the doctors computer. We're ready to turn it on."
