writing I'm just a child

Another simple contradiction

Of the poet’s mind and other such devices

And to which I have fallen prey

All upon the simple fact that I, am merely a child

This would be my revelation of choice

A macabre of dark fantasy that preludes to a disturbed mind

This should be the case, but it is not

Perhaps some purity still remains in my blackened soul

If I am, after all, still a child

If my creative bliss were any more of a reason

It stands to par with minds of those with experience in life

Or is that still just a detachment, derived from my sick fantasy?

If anything, I only know what I have been told

That should be without a doubt, my reason of being

 

All the answers I ever wish to uncover are questions

My translucent curiosity

Am I really anything more than a child?

This question begs an explanation

One which I can barely even grasp;

Comprehend

And rectify

It’s actually quite simple really

Just strip away the melancholy

All this damn depression,

This sadness and regret

All of which lies in my mind

Just strip it all away…

And then I ask

Just what do you see?

Since nobody really seems to comment much on your poetry why not throw this out here. I really enjoy what you write and even though typically if you run into me I'd say something like "oh a teenager doesn't have enough experience to be writing good poetry blargy darhg blargh" much like an old person would, you actually have some interesting things to say and I'm impressed with how you put them.

That was very beautiful. Sometimes, I wish I was like at least younger nowadays.

But, I'm stuck at just 15 years old.
