Lost Knowledge observed the ponies sharing the carriage with him, trying to carefully analyze them.

 

"So...um, I don't believe I caught your names. I'm Lost Knowledge. You can call me Lost if you want. Or I guess you can call me Doctor or Professor or something if you really want, but I don't generally bother with titles."

"Um...My name is Flame Dancer...Its nice to meet you Lost." He said, looking away from the window to look at Lost. "So where are you from ?" He asked, trying to make conversation. *I gotta make a good first impression...don't ask any stupid questions, Flame.* He thought.

Lost Knowledge smiled and made a point of memorizing the name and mentally pairing it with the face.

 

"Well, I grew up in Ponyville, but then I went to boarding school in Canterlot. After I got my Phd from Pranceton University (sound familiar?) I decided to move back to Ponyville. Although I'm often out in the field, so I don't really spend all that much time living there. That was probably a much longer answer than you were looking for, wasn't it? My apologies, I can be rather longwinded sometimes."

"Nah, I like it when ponies talk allot...I never really talk about anything so i'm more of a listener." He chuckled, then realized that may have sounded rude. *I like it when ponies talk allot...I pretty much just said 'you talk allot' ugh.* He thought, quickly looking back out the window.

Lost Knowledge smiled and nodded. He had no problem with being told that he talked a lot. It was an occupational hazard when you're a professor.

 

"Yes, well we should get along just fine, then. Being a professor teaches you to talk more than listen. All that lecturing, you know."

'Just Night song and Aqua now' Discharge thought to himself, watching all the other ponies hop into the carriages.

He couldn't quite make out who, but he saw some figures moving around in one of them, and naturally assumed they where talking or something 'glad to see there is some socialising going off after all, I thought we where going to have a quiet journey' he chuckled to himself as he thought this, and jumped up, flying over and landing on top of the middle carriage.

"Goldseek." He sighed. He had a feeling that this ride would be very talkative. So much for not talking. "So, what do you guys think this amulets use is? I mean, it has to be powerful if it's requested from a princess." Why he was trying to make conversation, he didn't know.

"That...Is a good question. Its probably something that anypony can use to destroy Equestria...That would explain why the princesses would want it so badly...to protect everypony." He said, a little surprised at himself.

*I make a good point...usually I would just ramble on about stupid stuff and make things awkward.* He thought.

Night Song flew into one of the carriages, making sure Quip wasn't in it. Bow in hoof, she sat down in it, feeling awkward about it as she had always gotten around by flying. She had never taken any form of transportation before. Seeing as there was nopony else around, she began to sing to herself.

Discharge grinned as he watched the ponies entering their carriages.

Upon seeing quip entering his carriage, and watching everyone else enter their own, he noticed Aqua was missing...again. "Aqua! Will you snap out of it and hurry up?!" Discharge's patience was clearly wearing thin at something.

 

He hopped into the carriage, not saying a word, he simply nodded at Quip, and then looked out the window as he awaited their departure.

 Aqua making sure that everypony had left and that there was nothing left behind set off to catch the rest of the group up. He reached the carriages in no time, and saw that all the ponies had already done the hard part of the journey and chosen a which one they would be in. Aqua made his way in to the middle carriage and sat next to a bright green pony "Hi i am known as Aqua, i don't think we have spoken".

Maroon Sky noticed one of the pegasus took the seat next to his.

chatty could see the carriage's. he noticed one pony walking on board. he spoke "hay can i come on with you?" chatty asked he did not want to sit alone he just wanted to talk "oh by the way my names chatty whats yours?" he just stood on the ground and awaited a reply to his questions from the strange pony.

"Sure, the seat is free," he answered. "My name is Maroon Sky, pleased to met you."

 

Maroon Sky was quite intrigued with the pegasus' cutie mark. It was a white circle with some lines in it. Maroon Sky decided to keep his questions to himself, it's almost the time for them to depart. He also noticed another pegasus mare entered the carriage, this time it was a mare. She started to sing.

 

"Nice song," Maroon Sky commented.

"i won't bother you i onlt speak if it is intresting or if somepony speaks to me" chatty said with a smile. he was thinking. i wounder if i will make new friends on this adventure. or if some drama happens. he then took his seat and sat down. he was still thinking whilest waiteing for the carriage to move.

Quip turned his head to the pony who spoke to him. "Then either have good memory, or bad memory. I'm Quip, AKA the bomb expert of the team, or so I would like to be called. What's your speciality?" he asked rather quickly.

"Bombs expert very nice, i would love to see you in action you could prove very useful, and my specialty hmmm.... you will have to wait and see my friend" he said with a grin on his face. Aqua then sat wondered, when the rest of the group would be ready to set off.

Discharge nudge Aqua, and let out a sly grin "Don't mind him Quip, he's just being himself" he laughed, before leaning out the window.

"Driver? We're ready to go" he shouted "Everypony rest up! I might suggest maybe getting some sleep on the journey."

With this, the carriage they where sat in lurched forwards and began to move, the other two followed suite, one then the other. 

They where underway, and it wouldn't be long before they arrived.

chatty just sat down and is now trying to go to sleep. befor the quest begains so he has energy for this trip. he is just hopeing to find some tressure. so he can get rich he would like to be rich but he likes adventure more. he just hopes the ride is not to long.

"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that's something personal," Maroon Sky said without thinking. He was not trying to be rude, but he preferred to entire carriage ride in silence. When the carriages started to depart one by one, he could hear Ardent telling everypony to take a nap. Maroon Sky's ears fell.

 

Sleep? But what if somepony or maybe a diamond dog attacked them once the Canterlot was gone from the view? Maroon Sky was about to protest when he realized that Chatty Dash had slipped away to the dreamland. The unicorn sighed, maybe it could wait, he didn't want to disturb the pegasus. Maroon Sky settled deeper to his seat, but his head remained high, eyes opened wide, ready to catch anything suspicious. He hoped at least everypony else would have a good nap.

Aqua made sure he had everything and pulled his head down for some kip time. He was going to go on guard for the trip, but he was almost certain that they would be fine, well at least thats what he thought, of course he hoped he would be correct. Aqua then nodded off, in to dreams of becoming rich and famous after this mess was sorted out.

Night Song kind of jumped when the carriages started to move, but immediately calmed down afterwards. She took Discharge's order and leaned against the wall of the carriage. She didn't fall asleep right away, partly because it was so bumpy for her. At some point though, she fell asleep with dreams of song and blood.

"I'm here simply because the princess asked of it." He looked out of the window. He had a home once. He had a father. He used to have a good life. Then the notes started appearing. Then he was forced into running. These 'missions' were just another way to distract him. They never worked though.
