gaming Sim (Simulation) Games

Seeing so many NAM Team members (a modification for SimCity 4) go here, I figured I'd make a thread about sim games.

What's your favorite? I love SimCity 4, I'm not any good at it though. In fact, my username on Simtropolis is Suzaku if anyone is wondering. :P

My favourite sim game so far is Farming Simulator 2013. It's about sowing fields, selling crops, buying animals, machines and more fiels (you don't say). I have played SimCity only on my mobile phone, but for me it was a bit too boring.

Well. Let's see.

Euro Truck Driver Simulator 2 (Or whatever) is very very good. But there is also OMSI (Which stands for something) that is a bus simulator which is really nice and detailed. So I dunno. One of those.

Lolwhut.

Just a quick question though, what actual good qualities does that game have? I've played it before, and was bored out of my mind. Specifically because of that physics engine which made nothing seem weighty.

If you are asking me about the Farming Simulator 2013 then there you go:

Pros:

-When you start the business it's hard to stop playing;

-Lots of machines and combines;

-You can place buildings and objects;

-Good economy system;

-It is realistic;

-Some models and textures are great;

-Multiplayer.

Cons:

-It can be boring if you don't know what to do at the beggining (there are tutorials in-game, but they don't tell you what to do on career) (thankfully my friend has helped me)

-Some models and textures are really bad;

-You can walk through pedestrians;

-Maybe the physics are not the best, but it's still enjoyable.

Kerbal Space Program.

Okay, so it is rocket science, and astrophysics/orbital mechanics are the elementary game mechanics. Sue me.

But once you get the hang of it, it's really fun.

"Orbital Speed

The relation between orbital speed and acceleration is given by the formula:

1db1c6be2cbf4a4428ba8f1124c36c10.png

where a is the acceleration due to gravity, v is the horizontal speed, and r is the radius of orbit.

Of course, gravity varies depending on your distance from the planet, so we also need the following formula to determine a based on your altitude:

d6447bf1862b5548971adb3eb87fe79d.png

where g is the acceleration due to gravity at sea level (9.807 m/s2), R is the radius of Kerbin (600 km), and h is the altitude of your orbit.

Note: Since the radius of your orbit r is equal to the radius of Kerbin R plus your altitude h, we can substitute R + h for r.

Now we have two expressions for a, so we set them on opposite sides of an equation and simplify:

Finally, substituting known values for g and R,

This is what you think you need to know. But it's more like this:
