And to Daruin, I actually have no idea how long time it took I just traced over one of my old sketches (which was a copy of an image online. Thanks! It's really impossible to draw on a computer without a tablet And that was what I was aiming for. I wanted to make something in honour of fighting is magic. That is an amazing drawing, and bonus points for it being my favorite pony. I really like that the lines, it adds some sort of awesomeness to it. Tell me what you think :3 the lines work on her legs because they emphasis the movement and impact of her hooves. they draw the eye as well, which is why it helped in the rainbow dash pic. it gets a little weird around Aj's hair because the mane itself, has a very subtle line of action. when you go against that, its looking more like shes hairy :3 ill doodle up a quick example, hang on... BRB <3 youve got the right idea, you just dont know why its right xD i cant re-create these brush strokes in photoshop :/ but hopefully the idea comes across. i dont wanna like.. railroad your art style or hijack your thread either though i think mayhaps a neat effect would be to smooth out the lines around her face some, and increase as you get to where her feet impact on the side, well youve already got that well emphasized.
