Commander_PonyShep 349 February 12, 2013 Share February 12, 2013 Here's my new interpretation on how the episode will go: Act 1: Twilight's friends' cutie-marks get switched around. Act 2: Twilight reverses her friends' cutie-marks with her own newly created spell. Act 3: Twilight becomes coronated as a new princess as a result of that spell. I know this because, often times in an episode of your average Hub cartoon, the full premise is not revealed until the end of Act 1 and beginning of Act 2. Plus, I looked over the promo many times over, just to find evidence of this before the episode airs. That means at that point, the possibility of Princess Twilight remaining permanent will be highly likely, which is what I don't want at all. That is, unless they have Twilight resign from royalty early, after realizing that this new life she earned is not the same as the life she once had with her friends. Yes, it would be a rushed ending, but then again, think about the ending to Keep Calm and Flutter On, and how that was rushed. For me, I'd rather a rushed ending that have Twilight return to her friends at the expense of royalty, than an ending that confirms that Princess Twilicorn is here to stay. Though, I have to wonder as to how the black book from the end of Crystal Empire Part Two would fit into this.
Betez 1,735 February 12, 2013 Share February 12, 2013 Ermahgerd, if I had a nickel for every thread about Alicorn Twilight... Anyway, I don't think anything groundbreaking will happen as a result of Twilight becoming an Alicorn. It's not like she's gonna move to Canterlot and never see her friends again. I have no idea if she'll be an Alicorn permanently or not, but I assure you, Twilight's mindset, her life, and the show itself will all be the same. 4 My OC Stay pony my friends"And ALWAYS remember...to never forget." - Someone who I'm sure has said this before I did
~Chaotic Fireball~ 499 February 12, 2013 Share February 12, 2013 My thoughts: I think Princess Celestia will ask Twi if she wants to become a princess, and everone will tell her to go for it, but she feels doubtful. On the day of the coronation, before she crowns Twilight, Celestia will ask if there are any objections to it, then Twilight herself would say politely that she'd rather be with her friends. That's what I hope will happen. And it could. Another thing that worries me, she messes up her friends' DESTINIES. That means that we will find out whether RD becomes a wonderbolt or not, or if Rarity ever finds true love, or anything else like that. It's just totally messing up the future of MLP, if you understand what I mean. How can they do that?? Does Hasbro really want to lose so many fans because of one little episode they made a huge mistake on?? And just thinking, how would RD feel when she sees Twilight with WINGS? Remember in 'The Mysterious Mare Do-Well', RD was happy that even though the Mare had magic, she still couldn't fly? AND THEN Fluttershy did the fly-by scene and RD felt kinda upset. That's just unfair. If Hasbro wants to do some crap like that, just for their stupid 6-year old fans, let them. I just can't believe that I used to be one of those Princess-crazy freaks. 1 "Mama told me not to waste my life, she said spread your wings my little butterfly. Starswirl the Trixie 975 February 12, 2013 Share February 12, 2013 Ermahgerd, if I had a nickel for every thread about Alicorn Twilight... You would have about a dollar. One episode does seem rushed for a major change. I would have preferred an episode devoted solely to preparation for the coronation and Twily's character development. 1 #SOCKS
Leafeon 2,702 February 12, 2013 Share February 12, 2013 (edited) You would have about a dollar. One episode does seem rushed for a major change. I would have preferred an episode devoted solely to preparation for the coronation and Twily's character development. That's what I was thinking. I have every hope that Larson manages to work it out, but why did we need Games That Ponies Play? Is it just me, or has rushing the ending of an episode seem to be a theme this season? Also, Starswirl needs to see this. dekutree64 713 February 13, 2013 Share February 13, 2013 That's about what I'm figuring for the episode structure. Still not sure exactly what will cause the mess in the first place... perhaps Celestia gives her the black book (seen at the end of Crystal Empire) to study new spells, and one of them goes wrong? I'm also not sure how it will end... I'm pretty sure she will accept the crown, cause of the whole "every girl wants to be a princess" thing (tweet from Larson, was it?). But we've also been assured that she won't leave her friends, so either the gang's moving to Canterlot, or Twilight will stay in Ponyville even with her new status. Moving to Canterlot is something I'd considered even without Twilight growing wings... it lets Twilight be with Celestia, lets Rainbow join the Wonderbolts without being away from the gang too much of the time, lets Rarity advance her business, Fluttershy can live in the castle garden that she never got to enjoy during the gala... Pinkie would either liven up the town, or be stifled by its snooty culture. Applejack is a problem, because there's not enough room for a new orchard on the side of a mountain. But she could at least open a restaurant or something. If they go the Ponyville princess route, I wonder if they'll build her a castle? It would be an interesting turn of events, since Celestia and Luna's castle from 1000 years ago is close by. Heck, they could even clear a path through the forest and refurbish the old castle. Maybe even Celestia and Luna would move back into it, and declare Ponyville the new capitol. Or maybe just Luna would come live with Twilight? Or just Celestia, finally giving Luna the top position in Canterlot, not living in Celestia's shadow, and giving Celestia a break after 1000 years of stress? Lots of good options.
