The sample Coco got was strangely familiar. Her microscope wasn't good enough to let her know much. She tried to get the clearest view possible.
She coudln't analyse the thing so she didn't know what is it made of, but.. she could peak into it's structure. She zoomed as much as possible.. And the picture she got was a little shocking.

She saw little knots, periodically swirling.

"Oh no... Green and knitted.." she looked in fear at Slimy.

"So their blood is probably made of polyvinylalcohol and borax?! HOW?! Oh my.. Slimy..."

But then, the knock. "GUYS WE GOTTA GO."

"Oh no.. no... S-Slimy.. we got to go.." Coco felt lost. She didn't know if she could trust him anymore. She packed her lab bag with all of her herbs books and research books, packed the samples and a microscope too. Her bag was heavy, but she also packed all of the food she had there (it wasn't much, really), bandages, old rugs.. everything that could help.

With tears in her eyes, she said bye to her carnivorous plants. "I can't take all of you with me.. sorry. I will return for you.."

She did the same to her books. She put her pet on her back and carried it out, along with her heavy bag and Slimy by her side. She didn't feel comfortable being around him.

"GUYS WE GOTTA GO." She yelled, leading Nightfall over to the stairs then turning around and running through the hall, knocking on all the doors, trying to get everypony awake before the zombies broke in.

Nightfall moved along, but then Diamond started running back through the hall. He did not know what to do or what he even wanted to do. He wanted to run and get out, but he did not want to leave Diamond only to be killed.

Arcane mumbled something incoherent, and then sprung up like a daisy. "CRAP" he thought loudly to himself. He rushed out of bed and looked over at Lila. "WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP?" he frantically asked as he got his things together hurriedly. "Nevermind, no time to talk" he said as she rushed out the door and in the direction of Diamond.

Rambler met back up with Diamond and Nightfall after getting his things. He realized that even with his guitar, he wasn't carrying much, and he thought he might be able to help.

 

"Hey, if you guys need help carrying anything, I can be your pack mule (No offense to actual mules). I don't have much stuff of my own, and I can carry a pretty heavy load without a problem." 

 

"Rambler, grab as many medical supplies as possible. We will need them." She said.

"were are we going to go? where are we going to stay? what are we going to do?" shade said as she got a bit panic.

 

she calmed herself down, and looked up, "but really? where are we going to go? there probably isnt anyplace safe to go" then shade remembered that manehatten had the sewers, she thought about that place being safe, but she didnt want to go back there.

Nightfall looked down at his hooves, just standing there.

"And what else can I do? I mean, I'm just about helpless..."

"So I'm just piggy-backing off of all of them, not doing anything and getting in the way?"

"No, not fully, just-"

"What do you mean not fully?!"

"Um, I just... um..."

Rambler nodded.

 

"Right. If you need me to carry food or anything else, just toss it in my pack. I can handle the load."

 

He began gathering all the medical supplies he could.

 

"We may also want to get bottled water. If this is some sort of infection, we can't be sure that any other water is clean."

Stabbing another infected that got too close to him, Arrow yells out again. "I'M GETTING WORRIED THAT IM THE ONLY ONE ALIVE!!!" Staying calm he runs past the few infected ponies and hauls flank into the dorms. "Any pony in here!?!?" He yells out a bit lower this time. He conjures a bow, puts the arrow on the string and draws it back. Since this is more narrow, the shots should be easy. "Hallo!?" he calls out again.

She heard the screams. She covered Raindrop on her back with her wings. "You stay here." she whispered to Slimy.

She took her dagger in her mouth. She sneaked through the hall with all of her silence (and she can do it well, you know, those thiev roots...). And then.. she saw it was just another pony. "Stop screaming." she said, putting the dagger back to it's case.

"Okay now.. where the hell is Diamond and everyone else.."

Diamond looked over at Arrow who...had...just come in...somehow. "Arrow, you're alive. The...uh...zombies are breaking in through the door...and our barricade...we need to get out of here. When Pranceton was being built they had some problems with flooding so they installed drainage pipes in the basement...they run down to the river by the town, everypony follow me." She said, walking down the stairs that led to the basement.

Coco looked at Slimy with a stare telling him to follow her. He trotted to her.

"Okay.. let's just hope that they aren't by the river too.." Her bag was making her knees weak. Slimy gently took it off her back and carried it himself. "Thank you.." she gave him a grateful look, but then, the memory...

"He can't be part of them.." she got tears in her eyes.

Slide woke up, having taken in all the sounds....screams, shouts, instructions. He bolted up, seeing the horrible creatures almost through th door. "Diamond!" Slide called. "What do I do? Just run, or what. I could try and fend them off for s long as you ponies need," he said, whipping out his hand gun. "Please, Dear Celestia, don't let one of these things be Lite..."

Arrow aims at Coco then Diamond and un-draws the arrow. "Well I thought I was the last pony in the university alive, any other survivors scattered around?" He asked. He looks around at the party of few ponies. (Im guessing i entered through the front of the barricade. Because I thought you guys barricaded yourselves in a dorm room)

Lila heard a familiar voice as she made her way over to Diamond. It sounded a lot like Arrow's voice. When she reached the area where she heard the voice coming from she nearly had a heart attack. "Arrow!" She squealed and rushed over to him, putting him into a tight hug.

Hearing his name being squealed out by a pony that ran over and hugged, Arrow knew that it was Lila. Returning the hug, he said in a whisper. "Thank Celestia." He was almost about to cry but fought it. Relieved that Lila was still alive. "I thought I would never see you again." He said.

Diamond started walking down the stairs as the zombies really started breaking through the barricade. "GO GO GO." She yelled, kicking open the door to the basement, she stepped inside and waited for everypony to get through. "EVERYPONY GET INSIDE." She yelled, getting ready to slam the door.

Slide ran in, scared for his life. He quickly pulled his gun back in and ran into the basement, checking to make sure there were no zomponies. "All clear!" He shouted up. "No zomponies in sight down here! We'll be safe if we get down quick enough!" He screamed. He hoped everypony else could get in.

Lila pulled at Arrows arm dragging him across the floor. "Come on, they're gana leave us behind." After a few moments of dragging Arrow they made it into the basement where everypony was at. "So you said this pipe is used for floods?" She asked a little worried.

shade followed everypony down to the basement, "so were going to the river? where are we going to go after that? do you have a plan?" she asked

 

shade looks back panicking and tryed to get everypony to hurry up, she didnt want to be a zomponies lunch, "can we please get a move on?"

As Arrow was being dragged by Lila, he conjures his bow and shoots a few zombies to give them time to enter the pipes. Hearing where they lead, he thought that this wasn't the best option; what other choice did they have? He wasn't complaining. Still  having bow conjured, he loads another arrow and asks. "Where do we go from here?" He was trying to remain as calm as possible but mind racing with questions and worry.

Coco grabbed Slimy by the hoof and dashed in flight to the door. Raindrop on her back wasn't sure what to think about this.

Coco didn't stop, and neither did her mind.

"Wait.."

She continued.

"No.."

She didn't catch that flood thing at first, but now when Shade had mentioned it..

"What if.."

She pressed Slimy's hoof.

Nightfall hobbled down into the pipe, not asking question, not even saying anything. He just stood there, waiting for the others. He felt like shrinking up and being left alone and ignored. But, then again, he didn't really wanted to die at all...

"Ohhhhh," he whispered, the large pipe echoing it a bit.
