Self Insert. What Pony would you choose to be?

Its more of an excercise. OCs are fun, but we can make them whatever we want.

--->I'm hoping to see some real thought as to what we would look like if we were suddenly thrust into another world.

as a group we are showing up with no items or equipment. In a case like that people will tally what skills the group has to call upon.

Aww.... i was kind of hoping we were going to make some sort of story out of this or something, that would be really fun don't you think? Then again, perhaps it's just my writing/reading side coming out again...

Well it does have that sort of potential. let me ruminate on that a bit.

I would have to say Twilight, but that's just my opinion. I mean, she will most likely know what to do better than anypony else

First off, I have had numerous dreams where I have been in equestria.  This is why I was able to give that description unequivocally.  That along with other dreams I have had in the past with flying forms would mean I would be one of the few people in this group who would immediately be able to fly just fine without trouble -- IE no getting used to it.

As for flight speed, I am no rainbow dash.  I am no Fluttershy either.  I would fall in the upper-middle range of the pegasi trying to do the tornado in Hurricane Fluttershy.

As for my personal skills -- I am 44 and would be glad to have a young body again as I do in said dreams.  I hold a computer science and math BS.  I also write fanfiction.  I have decent sales experience and am very good at haggling so their marketplaces would be no issue for me(yes I will be the pony making sure we pay 6 bits for that bushel of apples not the 12 they want).  Yes I can cook as well.  My measured IQ is 159 so that would also come into play.

Cutie Mark: Two rings of fire (I do this thing called fire poi and I would figure out a way to do it with hooves...which would be difficult)

 

Talent: Performing.

 

Notes: I'm super duper crazy shy at first...but eventually I can get really hyper. I like swimming (I would probably like flying since that is my number one ultimate dream...that and joining a circus). I love listening to music and hanging out with friends...but not all the time, I do need some time to myself (I am really introverted).

 

Skills: Fire Spinning, playing music, juggling, acting (That includes voice acting...kinda), pretty much anything to do with fire (Staff spinning rope dart juggling), Aerial silks/aerial hoop (I may not be good at them right now but I am working hard to get good at them)

and cooking?!! I am the microwave nuke master. It seems Equestria is mostly presented in the show as around 1904 technology.

Haggling is actually a very useful skill, and usable in a lot more places than one would think.  As for a pot bellied stove, my parents collect antiques.  As such I have actually seen such a thing and kerosene lamps and such.  And yes I can actually operate some of the antiquated stuff that one would encounter although it might be a problem with the hooves.  One nice thing about being a pegasus though is you can do stuff at a hover so you do have both forehooves free.

 

Thing is when using an old wood burning type stove, you need to get the temperature stabilized before you do anything.  It is NOT the quick process you have with your normal stove -- figure you have a 20-30 minute wait before you can begin frying your eggs or baking your muffins.  The cast iron pots etc that they had were made to hold in the heat evenly as well and mitigate against the swings that you have with such a stove that you do not have with a modern one.  Essentially I could adapt to it and it isn't 100% alien either.

You know what the best source of bits would be for a human entering equestria?  Music.  True most people could not manage to write out the notes to all the songs one knows (including most of the songs I have heard from the 1970s) but with memory spells etc I am sure that the right unicorn could get the information down on paper and from there Vinyl Scratch or similar would LOOOVE to have access to decades of off-worldly music.

My personality is creative. I tend to freak out over small things and worry easily although I'm not a total spazz. I love to hear peoples opinions as well as give my own. I'm quick to make friends, and I like to come up with cool ideas.

 

Skillz: Nothing that would be useful in Equestria, sadly enough. I'm still in High School. I'm good with camping skills because I'm a Girl Scout so I'm good on survival. Computer games/skills would be useless as would be reading. I will have to learn everything along the way.
