Cloud chuckled as she asked this, "Ehh, I took hits way harder than that before, that wasnt so much as a little bump. If you ever saw the hits I had to take in my lifetime, you'd be impressed" Cloud smiled at her, but a sense of confusion hit his mind, he couldve sworn he saw her expression change... if ever so slightly it did... What is she thinking? he thought to himself....

Nidal whispered under her breath, "Hits like the end of a draconequus's tail?" It wasn't quiet enough to go by silently, so C2 might've heard everything clearly. She rose her voice to the normal level, "So what hits have you taken then?"

Cloud chuckled," well I never met one of those creatures... Yet... But I've been whacked around by a hydra pretty good... I broke my wing around that time so I couldnt get away very easily, the damn thing almost had me in its gullet, luckily I managed to kick its uvula before he could swallow... Things got rather... Messy afterward".

She let out a sigh, she couldn't even die if she wanted to until they got the elements, not that she wanted to but being able to was such freedom that they didn't even see how lucky they were. Cloud rose and eyebrow at Nidal, "Well yeah I ran... It's not like I was going to face off against a Hydra with a broken wing am I? Im not dunce enough to not know my own limits" he then sighed, "I really dont know, Lunatic said you had to speak the truth to enter the room... but there might be more to it than that"...

"My guess would be that whoever speaks the whole truth in earnest thoughts becomes the bearer of the element. Either that, or only the bearer can open it."

Cloud nodded then looked to the ground, "Earnest truth huh? Well that leaves me out..." he muttered to himself, it wasnt completely quiet, as Nidal was still next to him when he said it.

"Same here. The halftruths are a much better way to reveal information. So can anyone here say that they will be able to speak the full truth about yourself in front of that door with us around?" she called out to the group, sure that it was one of them.

Cloud nodded in understanding, "Well, I don't think you can just ask somepony if they speak the truth, perhaps that trait will show in one of them when they approach the door... I just dont understand how one can be truthful all the time... I already know you aren't" he then looked Nidal in the eyes, "I've seen how you act around us, the way you were trying to soften me up in the forest... You're hiding something... I just don't know what it is"

"That's what I said, more or less. I speak in halftruths, telling you only part of the truth while keeping the more important pieces secret." She stared into his eyes. "And of course I'm hiding plenty. I don't fully trust anyone. At all."

Lunatic looks around at all the ponies who oppenly admided that they lie alot.

"So you really thing that lies will last longer than honesty?"

Lunatic tought about what he just said.

"No... i dont think that lies are good. The truth is much better"

Lunatic's comment surprised Cloud, he rose his eyebrows and broke his eye contact with Nidal, looking at the unicorn. "Well then Lunatic... I believe you should try to open the door... If you truly feel like that, then perhaps you can open the door". He looked back to Nidal, She will have to wait... I can worry about Nidal later...

Lunatic gave one last look to the book befor he put it in his bag.

"Alright let me have a try." And started walking towards the room with the big door in it.

Nidal nodded. "Let's go see if you truly do represent the truth. And could you explain why you're looking at me with that face C2?" She began to follow L.

(And here comes the awesome moment!)

As Lunatic approached the door, it began to glow, a ghostly figure manifested, an orange pony with a blond mane, wearing a cowpony hat. "Ah am Applejack, the original bearer of the Element of Honesty... there is one here who is worthy enough to enter through... but you first must pass mah test... You must tell me your greatest fear, your greatest weakness, and one thing that you truly want in life... You must be completely honest, if you fail, this door will remain closed forever..."

 

Cloud looked to Nidal as she asked him her question... he slightly blushed and looked away, "Its... nothing... just forget it"

Nidal glared at the image of Applejack for a second beforee fixing her face. "And now you blush. If you like me, go out and say it. If you have some other problem, concern, or whatever; ask or say it. Just don't keep trying to hide it."

Cloud turned away, without looking back he said, "I dont know how I feel right now... Its hard to talk about something that you cant fully understand... Please understand Nidal"

Lunatic looked at the figuere that was presented.

"should i give this a trie?" looking at the other ponies in the group.

Cloud looked to Lunatic and nodded, "Go ahead"

"Then just take what you know as the whole truth and give me a response. And please do, L. I'd rather enter the room soon." She shifted her weight while looking at AJ.

Cloud looked to the ceiling and sighed, he turned to Nidal, his eyes not quite meeting hers, more like looking at what was around her... "You seem to be distant... yet close at the same time... there are times where I think I like you... then there are other times Im not sure... You dont seem to care for others besides yourself, your reason for doing so still a mystery to me... it just leaves me so confused and I end up with a headache"...

Lunatic looked at applejack.

"I am Lunatic, and I am going to do your test! First. my greatest fear is to be betrayed by my best friends. I dont think i can stand losing more friends then I already have. Second. my greatest weakness. my greatest weakness is the truth himself. Sometimes the truth can be painfull and it has cost me manny friends but honesty will always be a double edged sword. and at last the third question! what do I desire mostly. That is to start a family. A family with a wife and 2 kids in a land that isnt destroyed by choas. And thats one of the reasons i am here! to stop discord and rebuild equestria to how it was."

looking at applejack Lunatic hoped desperatly that it worked.

Nidal sighed and walked up to C2 so that her lips were right next to his ears. She whispered, only allowing C2 to hear her, "I will share a single piece of truth to you. It is still not the full truth for if I said that you'd hate me." You can't be serious, Nidal. You don't have to do this. "Everything I loved many years ago was destroyed. After that, I stopped caring about anything else to avoid more pain. Do you understand?"

 

((My thoughts are that Discord made them and only forced the single personality that their element brings. Other then that, it is just as random as a real creature. Nidal is greedy but she started out caring for life and loved Equestria even while she destroyed it. Since then, she's not cared all that much about others. She wants to be capable of death and as such wants the elements to be united to take down Discord, removing her immortality and maybe ending her life right there.))
