Ampyrion frowned and glanced down.

"You're a few seconds too late," he commented, observing the griffon's dripping wet face. "So how are you feeling right now?"

 

*Mercer pushed a wet feather out of his eyes*

"I feel like I've been to hell and back. Do you think you could run upstairs to my office and grab my pain pills for me please?"

"I'm going to take a walk," Lightning lied to the rest of the group as she left the old chapel. She walked off a long way, and finally found the abandoned house again. She unlocked the door and sat down by the fireplace. She moved around the logs by the fireplace a bit to reveal a box underneath. She pulled it out and opened it up. Inside was a small bottle of poison. I might need this,She thought as she stuffed the bottle into her saddlebag. She stared at the photo of the two unicorns above the fireplace; her parents.

 

Her parents had died in this very house, they were murdered and robbed. After that, Lightning was taken to an orphanage where she met every one of her friends. It was a happy place in the orphanage. They sang songs and played games all day. Although Lightning was a nice pony, she was never adopted. She had been kicked out at the age of 13 when the orphanage went out of business. She had raised herself in this house ever since.

"Uhh...okay." That was random. "What do they look like?"

Nidal nodded and descended down into the building. The shafts of light that revealed her and her position did not illuminate much of the room and many parts were in complete dark. She called out, "I heard from some merchants there was a new client. One who was paying big for a triple service."

"Uhh...okay." That was random. "What do they look like?"

 

"Its a white bottle with a black label that says, 'Pills'. Its not too hard to find, its right there on my desk."

 

 

(Gotta go now, later bronies.)

Cloud followed Nidal as she spoke to the unseen others, he looked around waiting for anypony to come out

 

(gonna be sleeping soon, I have to get up at 7:30 tomorrow)

"Alright..." Ampyrion left the room. Finding the staircase, he proceeded upstairs towards where he guessed the office was. Magicking open the door, he spied a white bottle lying on a plain wooden desk. Ampyrion picked it up. PILLS, read the label.

"Well, that was easy," he remarked. He headed back down the stairs.

"That is correct, N." A single paper was magicked into the light for her to read. After doing so, she flared her wings and took off again. "I won't be able to allow you to follow me as I perform the kills. It's much easier if I'm alone. You can watch from the rooftop of another building, though. You just can't enter with me." Cloud nodded, following her back out before perching on the top of a tall building as he watched her leave to perform her, 'task'

Nidal flew over to the richer part of the city and dived down into one of the buildings, going in through the window. Some minutes after, she left through the same window and entered into another house. She, again, left some time later and went to another. She stayed in there a decent amount of time before walking out of the front door. She unfolded her wings and took off into the sky, headed towards C2. "Easy job. We'll have to stay a bit here until they can confirm that I did it."

Cloud sighed and nodded, "Right" he said quietly

Lightning sighed and stood up, heading towards the kitchen. In the kitchen, the walls were coated with dried blood. Many ponies had died in there, including her parents. She opened up a drawer and pulled out a single knife. She kept it in her mouth as she flew out the door into the skies, taking in the fresh air.

Nidal frowned as he spoke. "You don't approve of my way of getting money at all. Why not?"

As EB was sitting by himself in a different portion of the room, he thought, "What is Lightning doing...? She said she was just going for a walk, but..."

Cloud looked to the ground and shrugged, "An assasin is never a job I could take, no matter what the pay. I know you have already done this, but to see you do it so... easily, its a little unnerving... I truly do care for you, that is why it pains me to see this" he then looked into her eyes, a gentle smile beginning to form on his lips as he gently brushed some of her mane from her eyes, "But it doesnt change what I feel about you... I still think of you as a strong, independant, beautiful mare... and I will always feel that way"

"You wouldn't be able to take it because you can't stop considering others as equals to yourself. I don't see them as ponies, I see them as targets. I don't speak to my target nor do I try to befriend my target. I only hit my target. It's more-or-less the same way that Void thinks all the time." She sat down next to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. "But enough about that. What do you think about the city from up here?"

 

((I'd say it's noon, by the way. So no romantic lighting.))

Cloud smiled as she laid her head down, "I've always enjoyed a high up view, I can see the whole city from here... I just wish it wasnt so destroyed, what I would give to see this place in its prime" Cloud wrapped a foreleg around her shoulders as he spoke, "Did you ever see the cities when they were still... peaceful?"

Lightning flew up higher into the skies, until she could see the entire city. It was a beautiful view of the city she had once loved. She let the knife fall from her mouth towards the ground, not caring who it would land on...

"Some of them. This city was assigned to Betrayal to be destroyed, hence why Mercer, the son of the original, is currently the leader of it. I didn't really destroy many towns, as I couldn't bring myself to. Instead, I just took the position of ruler. Who knows, maybe we'll go to one of them some day."

Cloud smiled and playfully nudged her, "Just you and me? I think I'd kinda like that" he smiled as he looked at her

"I meant if we ever needed to go there to collect an element, but sure, that too." She let out a sigh and nudged her head in the direction of the rest of the group. "Come on, we probably shouldn't stay away from them for too long."

Lightning sighed and flew off towards the rest of the group. She just got her element, why was she so unhappy? She had no idea. All she knew is that she had to get back to the group before they got suspicious.

Cloud nodded and gave a humorous exaggerated sigh, "Fine, no more alone time with you, guess we gotta head back" his eyes glinted with humor as he pouted out his lower lip at her

"We'll have plenty of time when Discord's down. Until then, we have to work more than play." She saw him pout his lower lip and she went in for a kiss before biting the lip instead, not hard but at the same time not softly. Before he could complain, she gave him a peck and took off into the sky.

Cloud sat for a minute, laughing at the fact she had even done that, but he quickly forgave her after the peck, "What a mare" he said to himself as he took off after her...
