When Lightning got to her house, she opened up the door and entered. Inside, all she did was get another knife and a match. Using the match, Lightning set fire to the fireplace. She sat down in front of it. She then pulled out her knife and started cutting into her skin. She carved into her skin the word, "Smile". She then went back to the group, leaving the fireplace burning...

"Well EB, Appleloosa is one if the few decent towns left in Equestria, pretty civilized compared to what we've seen so far. But even so, we still want to keep an eye out for trouble"

"You're right," EB agreed as he looked back outside. "But still... I can't help but wonder what's wrong with Lightning..."

Lightning flew back into the building, "I'm back!" She laughed as she saw the rest of her friends, "Alright, off to Appleloosa!"

The group had gotten their supplies gathered and headed toward the train station. To their luck, there was one train heading to Appleloosa. Cloud went to a ticket window, looking at the prices, he backed up and looked at Nidal "Umm think you might be able to get the prices lowered for us?" he asked her, "and we may want to try and get a separate sleeper car away from the... Questionable, passengers" he glanced over at the other ponies gathering into the train, some being seen pick pocketing others as they walked...

Nidal rose her eyebrow at C2. "With what money? Did you forget that the job I did has to be confirmed before I can collect? I can barter all you want, but unless you've got money somewhere, we won't be able to pay." Under her voice she continued, "Or I could take money or tickets from the ponies around here. What'll it be?"

Cloud thought for a moment, then sighed, whispering into her ear he said "Only take them from the ones that are stealing as well, itll be a good lesson on karma for them".

Nidal ignored Mercer and proceeded to steal money off every single thief in the area. She returns and nods towards him. "Now we can take that option, that is, if a train which is not a part of every city it connects is under your command."

"She has a point Mercer" said Cloud with no emotion toward the griffon, "You may run Fillydelphia, but this train isnt the city's property, therefore you dont control it". He nodded to Nidal, "Well let's get those tickets then shall we?"

Nidal went up to the booth and lowered the price down to a reasonable level before paying for all the tickets in a car. "Okay, we've got a few dozen tickets for our own car now. You all ready?" She passed out a ticket to each person before absorbing the rest of them to make sure that they weren't stolen. She did that in relative secret, trying to not let any of them see but at the same time not be overly suspicious.

Cloud took his ticket and looked to the others, "This will be an overnight ride to Appleloosa, Im not sure how comfy the beds will be in our car, but try to get some rest as this may be the only chance we get to sleep more than a few hours at a time" he then looked to Nidal and nodded, "Ready"

Taking his ticket, EB simply nodded, ready to get on the train to Appleloosa.

"Yes, I'm ready," said Ampyrion absentmindedly taking his ticket, still lost in thought.

Lightning took her ticket, and said, "Finally, I need some rest!" She started to giggle, hiding the markings on her fore-leg.

The group board the train as the last call was made, the train car wasnt the best, but it was bearable, the beds are kept clean enough though have some stains on the sheets, (The stains are unidentified). each bed has a privacy curtain as well as a window to view the outside as they pass by. Cloud looked around and jumped to one of the higher beds, "I call a top bunk" he said to no one in particular. He threw out the sheet onto an empty bed, the dark stain on it rather unnerving...

Nidal went to the bed underneath C2's and threw the blankets off. The bed itself had the same stains. She rolled her eyes and sat down on the bed, completely ignoring the stains.

 

Crystal looked at the stain before wrapping the bed in a layer of her shield, plastic form. She climbed in and laid down. "Will Appleloosa be as run down as the rest of the country? I remember that it was some distance from the capital in this one map I saw." She tried to remember the map she had seen once.

Lightning yawned and flew up to the bed above Crystal's. She put her saddlebags next to her pillow and lied down, completely ignoring the white stains all over the sheets. "Good night!" She said to the group as she quickly drifted off to sleep, again...
