Cloud couldnt just sit while Ampyrion was in the town and could be slaughtered, turning to Nidal he said, "Im going to find him, and hopefully any survivors as well, I'll avoid Void as much as I can" he thne turned, opening his wings and taking off to find Ampyrion...

Nidal watched him leave with conflicting thoughts. On one hand, she would be hurling herself into danger. On the other, she would be leaving C2 without protection. After a quick debate over what to do, she took off, following him despite her currently slightly weakened body. She would not let him throw himself into danger alone.

Cloud looked back to see Nidal following, he wasnt sure it was the best idea, but he didnt say anything, knowing it may anger her. As they reached the town, Cloud could see most of the buidling smashed and burning, the bodies of dead and gutted ponies strewn across the ground. Cloud landed and looked aroun, eyes wide, looking up, he began to call out for Ampyrion while keeping an eye out for any survivors...

Nidal landed besides C2, stumbling a step or two upon landing, and began to help call for their friend.

 

Crystal, seeing the two ponies leave through her tears, got up and hurried after them, quickly layering three shields around her, solidifying her resolve and stopping her crying.

(Im gonna have a quick bit with Void real quick)

As Cloud walked to look for Ampyrion, he made sure to keep close with Nidal, seeing as she wasnt in the best shape as of now. As he walked, he could've sworn he saw a large shadow lurking amongst the smoke...

Void moved through the smoke. The meals that he had been so viciously denied were right here and to top it all off, the one meal that could cause problems seemed injured.

 

Nidal noticed the shadow and told C2, "Careful. There's someone else around here."

 

((Tell me what you want Void to do or do you want to control him?))

(Have Void strike, Cloud is about to get injured, but remember, not fataly)

Cloud heard Nidal and nodded, keeping a wary eye out for danger...

Void got on Nidal's side and tensed his legs. He leapt forward, claws raised and ready to strike. Nidal spotted him, but her worn down body was unable to respond. If nothing happened, she'd get slashed into two and have to do some extensive healing. If something did happen, chances are the savior of that pony would get injured, possibly mortally if they got in too far.

 

((Just have C2 get her out of the way and state how you're injured.))

 

Crystal saw the manticore from a clearing in the smoke at a distance and the two ponies whom she recognized as her friends. She began to dash forward, creating solid balls of her shield to use if needed.

Cloud saw Void striking, he immediately jumped toward Nidal, pushing her out of the way just in time, he felt a sharp stab of pain though as Void's claws met his side, digging into his flesh. "AAAAGGGHHH!!!" cried out Cloud, he kicked back in desperation, getting out of Voids range before falling to the ground, deep claw marks in his side that had fresh blood streaming out, his right wing was crumpled and bloody...

Nidal jumped in between C2 and Void. She brandished her saber and yelled out, "C2 is mine! Do you hear that?! He's mine and not for you to take away!" Her element came of her chest on its own and was shining brightly. The necklace didn't come out; only the amulet, which was, quite literally, embedded into her skin. "My property is MINE and I shall not have you tear them to shreds!"

 

Nidal lunged at Void, taking him by surprise with the sheer amount of power and speed put behind it. She was moving faster than she had ever before, determined to fight back the one who hurt her beloved. After many impacts and slashes, they were still both at full strength and unharmed, as was the power of the elements. Crystal had gotten to Cloud's side and had stopped his bleeding while the fight happened.

 

Eventually, Void tore through one of her legs while Nidal struck him through the head. Both collapsed right there and after a bit of time stood back up and began to circle each other again. "And this is why I hate when my food regenerates. Fuck you. I've eaten enough already." With that, Void left the area. Nidal put away her rapier and walked up to C2. "How hurt is he?"

 

"He'll need help. That's for sure. If we don't patch him up soon, he's likely to die." Nidal bit her lower lip and began to pace. She took off heading back to the main group and where they had left the saddlebags. She returned with the medical saddlebag and gave it to Crystal who only nodded and began to apply the aid.

Cloud was in great pain, the cuts were deep and his wing crippled, even then he still managed a pained smile as Nidal approached, "Well... pretty dumb... AAGH!... pretty dumb for me too... take him on... head on like that.... huh?" he tried to chuckle, but it ended in a pained grunt, he was beginning to feel weak from blood loss...

Nidal went down on her knees and shook her head. Tears were falling down her face but she didn't notice them. "You fool. I told you not to try to take him on. If you had been a bit closer to him when he hit, you wouldn't have lived to hit the ground." She looked down at the ground and clenched her eyes shut. "How are we supposed to live a happy life after all this if you DIE before we get there?!"

 

Crystal did her best to ignore them, give them time to talk, kept the shields preventing blood loss, and kept patching up his injuries.

Cloud reached a hoof, ignoring the pain, and put it under her chin, lifting her head so when she opened her eyes she would be looking into his, "Love makes a pony do crazy shit Nidal... but I will promise I will do better about what I risk... I did promise you for a happy life, and damn me if I dont keep that promise"

*Mercer landed on a cloud. He had reached the border of Equestria, and Gramis, the country of the griffons. Once he left Equestria he could be free from the torment of others knowing who he was, of ponies treating their own kind better than they treated him. Free from the hypocrisy of the one he had chosen to call brother. He could live among the few of his own kind remaining. Maybe even become a griffon worth trusting. But something held him back. And he knew exactly what it was. Regret. He had vowed to see Discord fall. Maybe not by his own hand, but to have some roll in the defeat of that tyrant. But the only others bold enough to fight against Discord, would never accept him as an ally. They hated him. Unjustly. He had attempted to help them, he had supplied them with money in a town filled with greed. He had assisted them in an escape from a monster that could tear them to shreds without even trying. He had allowed them to obtain one of the elements that they were seeking. But still they hated and mistrusted him. All because of his damn element.*

"Maybe I would be better off dead."

*Mercer whispered to himself as tears began to form in his eyes. He laid down on the cloud, and gave his best effort to get some sleep, and think about the choice that had to be made.*

Nidal nodded and laid down so that their eyes were at equal levels. "Remember that I can heal faster than you can. Much faster. If one of us has to get hurt, let it be me. Okay?" CS would already know about it seeing as she watched the fight, so Nidal wouldn't try to keep it a secret to her anymore... nor the rest of the group, seeing as her element was unable to come any further out or be dragged back in apparently.

Cloud nodded, "I understand, but it doesn't mean that seeing you hurt wont hurt me as well... No matter how fast you can heal". He leaned forward to kiss Nidal, hopefully calming her nerves and showing that he would be fine after his encounter with Void.

Nidal stopped him from moving any further so CS could keep bandaging him up properly. "Stop moving. You're not making it any easier for CS there to patch you up. And being hurt is better than being dead, okay? What do you think will happen if you get torn into two? That you'll just get right back up, and we'll get over it? That's nowhere near what will happen and you know it. I, on the other hoof, would just get right back up."

Cloud reluctanly laid back down, his ears flattened against his head as Nidal scolded hin, "I'm... I'm sorry Nidal..." was all he could say as he waited for Crystal to finish.

Nidal smiled and petted him on the head a bit. Crystal soon finished binding his cuts and putting the wing in a cast. She kept the shield spells for another second as she made sure all the bindings were good and then let them go, most of them getting red rather quickly. "You'll have to take it easy for some time unless you really do want to die from blood loss. And we should probably get those wounds checked with a real doctor the moment we get the chance... but around here that doesn't seem very likely." Nidal turned around and lowered herself to the floor. "You hauled me around for a bit when I didn't really need it, so now you get to be lazy while I carry you around when you do need it."

Cloud chuckled quietly, beginning to feel the effects of the blood loss he had already suffered. He didn't protest as Nidal lifted him up, "Sorry, I'm kinda heavy" he muttered. He then turned to Crystal, "Thanks Crystal, I owe ya one"

Nidal shifted her weight and began to walk heavily. "Maybe if I didn't absorb all the loot I ever got I'd be able to carry your weight easily... but I do absorb it. So how are we going to explain this crystal coming out of my chest to the rest of the group?" She tapped the element's amulet.

"Hmmm" said Cloud thinking, "Do you have like a bandana or something to cover it with? Something that you can wear around your neck to cover it?"

"I could check, but then I'd need to explain the bandana. Do you really think they would react negatively to me being the element of greed?"

Cloud shrugged, "I can't say for sure... Hopefully they will see that you aren't like the other elements, that you have the same intentions as the rest of us..."
