Okay. I'm not going to sugar coat it.

 

I MOTHER-FREAKING HATE EQUESTRIA GIRLS. 

 

Please excuse my language, but I am very passionate on this subject.

 

Why would Hasbro go and take all of my hopes and dreams and crush them into bits? Don't they know that the thousands of bronies that are part of the fandom love MLP: FiM just the way it is? Are they that desperate? There are hundreds of shows about teenage girls in high school. How will this be any different?

 

The ponies are so much cuter as ponies - as they were meant to be! I will admit the concept art isn't bad, but we have seen so much of this style (Think Monster High) that the two probably will end up being the same show with different characters. 

 

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I had to get that off my chest. I would love to hear other's opinions on the matter, so speak up! BTW, does anypony know if this show will affect MLP: FiM? I, and I'm sure everypony here, am uber excited for Season 4 (and beyond  ) so I just want clarification that the show will be carried out as normal. I suppose I could stand the fact that EG is just there and I won't watch it, but.... well I would just hate to see any of the original ponies change from this... interesting spinoff.

I don't like Equestria Girls either, but I'm not worried. It's just another way for Hasbro to get another million, and then it will be over. I give 1-2 season at the most. 

 

And, this is a SPIN-OFF meaning it will not effect MLP:FIM. So don't worry!  Did the Cleveland Show effect Family Guy? I don't think so. I'm saying this is the Cleveland show of the MLP franchise.

Thanks! I know how it is to be scared about a change in shows. I was terrified about Alicorn Twilight when it first came to news. But I want to say to all the bronies reading this, THE SHOW WILL CONTINUE TO BE AWESOME!

I'm kind of meh on the subject. I'm not outraged by the idea but at the same time it's not something I would go out of my way to watch out of pure excitement. I don't think it will affect MLP:FiM at all (hopefully). I might actually give it a try for the sake of keeping an open mind. When in doubt, MLP:FiM will always be there anyway

I am absolutely going to give it a chance just like I gave Friendship Is Magic a chance. If it turns out to be bad, than I'll just ignore it, just like I ignore Pound Puppies or Strawberry Shortcake. No one's forcing me to watch it, so there isn't any reason for me to get angry about it.

While I will admit that the premise seems extremely cliched and the designs of the mane 6 look a bit off to me I will give this show a chance as I did for Friendship is Magic as it is still too soon to tell whether this will be any good or not. I really don't care one way or the other though, if this ends up sucking than it won't affect the main show and will just be another in a long list of good shows that got a crappy spin off but still kept being awesome.

I have no idea what to react.

Now it's a spin-off so it will have no influence on FIM. So no worries about FIM going down the drain.

For me this will be just another show.

I may give it a chance, but right now I don't really know.

I honestly think Equestria Girls is the stupidest looking thing ever in my opinion, but I'll maybe watch an episode for the lulz.

I believe that there was potential in the series whether I was interested in it or not but the fact remains that the more I hear about it the less faith I have in it.  I am glad it is a spinoff so if it suchs it can languish into obscurity while the superior show that spawned it continues on.  That being said, who knows?  If I had been told 2.5 years ago that my favorite show on television would be My Little Pony I likely would have laughed my butt off, but here we are.  I do not hold any hopes for the series and I am definitely not a fan of the high school setting or the awful character designs but I reserve the ability to be pleasantly surprised.  I just don't expect that I will be

For the love of Luna, why the bucking hay do they make ponies half-humanized?

 

I mean, if they really want to "Equestria finds a way to the Human world and wants to interact with human" thingy, make them complete-human instead! Not freaking teenager with coloured skin, tatoo-like Cutie Mark on their cheeks, and a pair of inhuman and ignorant wings!

 

I will say I may watch it if they're fully humanized. I'm not a fan of humanized ponies and I think it's weird, but I will give it a shot if it's properly humanized.

 

They take our hope that Equestria is somehow connected to the human world (many fans like this idea including me) but they ruin it by making them ignorant-looking human who tries to interact with normal human! AAARRRGGGHHH. For the love of Luna!

I guess we could say that the future holds many opportunities. Especially, a spinoff but I don't want to know what Hasbro was smoking when they thought of a spinoff like this. But, I'll get used to it.

I say I would have prefered if they went with this style instead.  Much more pleasing to the eye and a great deal cooler in my honest opinion as well!

 

 

Also I like the idea of them actually wearing different stuff rather than all wearing skirts.

 

Please be aware I did not create these images I saw them in a PMV a while back and felt they were humanized done right in my opinion.
