My OC, the gorgeous Nova Stardust

Step aside, Rarity -- Nova is the fairest of them all. Haha excuse the bragging, lovelies. I mean no offense to the marvelous Rarity. See, I'm relatively new at drawing ponies (this is only my second one), so I'm quite pleased with this work.

 

I haven't colored it yet cuz I'm not really sure about the coloring scheme. Her special talent is astronomy, so if you have any ideas, please leave them in the comments!

 

Overall, I'm pleased with the design, but not the execution of the art. It looked fine in pencil, but I've been using new pens that I'm still experimenting with.

Wow her drawing already looks really nice! I'm digging it so far! And btw astronomy is a really cool talent, and word. I don't know why i felt the need to point that out, but I did so yeah Xd.

Ooh Another astronomy pony. My OC is an astronomy-type OC as well. As for the drawing, nice job.

 

I really like the eyes. They are soo cute.

As for the color scheme, I think you should keep the body white and have the hair dark blue with pink highlights.

As for the color, I think the hair should be blue, and maybe a yellow coat? Up to you in the end though really though.

I was thinking icy blues (like a hot star), some deep purples, and soft lavenders, but I'm not sure where I would place those. I have no idea. And I don't like the cliche blue + purple scheme. I love it, but it's over-used. Maybe some pinks? No clue. Thanks everypony for your feedback! Greatly appreciated. I will take it into consideration!

Gorgeous indeed, very nice design.

The left fronthoof looks a bit plump, otherwise I can find nothing else to criticize.

What's the cutiemark though, a moon with a trail?

As for colour, maybe try out some patterns on a ponycreator to get an idea what you'd like.

The cutie mark is a moon with a trail of ice; kind of like a comet.
