Alright so the National Weather Service felt bored and were sick of people not paying attention to them.  In response they predicted 6 to 11 inches of snow for my area starting right around now.  It is currently in the 50s and lightly drizzling.  When they announced the "severe winter storm" it was sunny and warm.  I mean weather changes pretty darn quick out here but everyone is worked up over something I honestly don't believe will happen.  The last time they predicted snowmagheddon nothing happened and a couple months later we got a snowpocalypse with zero warning.

 

It isn't the fault of the meteorologists that it's like the Everfree Forest out here where the weather does what it feels like and behaves in no logical manner, but it feels like they are whipping up a false frenzy and I'm getting pretty annoyed.  I mean most of the time they can't even accurately report the weather that happened just now in any particular part of the area.  Sometimes I looks at the weather websites at the NOW section and look out the window and go "uh.... derp?"

 

Does this happen anywhere else or do most people in the world trust their weatherpeople?

I live in a part of the world where if you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes and it will change.

So I can't always rely on the meteorologists to be correct.

Anyway, that isn't fake. The National Weather Service is mostly correct, but if there is a HUGE winter storm coming to you, then it's most likely real.

the weather people here in Indiana are usually pretty accurate with their forecasts. What they predict is usually what happens.

I was supposed to go on a road trip this weekend. But driving a muscle car in 8 inches of snow probably isn't the best idea. So I bought a new gun instead, I was going to spend money on this trip anyway...

This is what I'm talking about, though.  You cancelled your plans, flights are cancelled my work is planning on not opening tomorrow so they didn't even care about scheduling.  Watch it just be a heavy rain and a bunch of people are going to be super duper pissed.

Well I pay attention to them sometimes, and generally theyre right. But the tempeture and weather can be quite random here.

 

Generally they are right however, it's more like every day the weather can make a 360 degree turn at times, however a lot of times during summer or winter it's just hot or cold.

 

It is normally accurate seeing as they use sailites and such, better then my predictions

March is such a crazy month especially with weather. I just hope the crazy weather ends but, on Monday it will snow for my city. Basically, if I get anymore snow I'm taking a rain check from school in April.

Yep, I live in Kansas City. On the north side, just north of Liberty. Pretty much the farthest away from the ghetto while still being inside city limits. My best friend and I were actually going to spend the weekend in Hermann for the wurst fest. Not now.

Step 2: Turn around cross your hooves and think about how much you don't like the weather

 

Step 3: Keep repeating step 1 and 2

Call me crazy but I love the weather you guys have in the UK.  Especially in the North.  I'm weird though.  I went to Montana one year for spring break.  I guess people are supposed to go to Mexico or something but I went camping in the cold.

Its been snowing on and off for a few months now and it's not reached above 10 'C for even longer than that :/

 

Our hottest recorded heat is still lower than the lowest one in Florida, our weather sucks, if its not raining its snowing, or just cold, or hail, or windy... we've even had earthquakes and get micro tornadoes sometimes. I read somewhere that the UK has the most varied weather.

Still no snow here, I knew this was complete bull!  Now I'm going to be called in at a moments notice to work because they didn't bother scheduling and there is going to be like zero inventory and it is going to be complete anarchy.

Weather people here are generally accurate. Really, all they have to do is say "it will rain" and about 70% of the time they'll be right if they guessed or not.

The weather in East Tennessee is unpredictable. The Smoky Mountains make that possible. A few days ago it was warm, and three days ago the temperature at night dropped down to 27 degrees. I just cross my fingers and trust the iPad app when in doubt.

Well, a couple of hours ago it dropped below freezing and is currently dumping snow faster than an avalanche.  I lost a bet and have to get a haircut now.
