Could this scene happen in the series finale?

Okay so recently I watched a film about the Muppets. The film was called "The Muppets Take Manhattan". It was movie night and that's what was watched.

Anyways a specific scene (or song in this case appeared.

This is that scene (song) please watch.

 

 

Anyways after watching this scene I got thinking.

Isn't this scene fitting for the series finale of MLP?

Think about it.

Lets say that everything has been done. The mane six have reached their goals. And now they must part ways. They are still friends, and they may see each other one day, but for now they will part ways to live their lives.

I had a smiler idea to this one, but it was kinda like a 2 parter. It would set up like each of the 5 are heading off to deferent areas and the only one who is not leaving Ponyville is Twilight. Then some kinda attack would happen and they would come back. Did not work out all of the ideas, but thats was an idea.

 

It's an idea, but it would just be to sad I think to do or like I said, do it as a 2 parter and just have them come back at the end.

As much as I love that song and that scene, I wouldn't want that as a series finale song. It implies that the ending of the series is the ending of the friendship, but shouldn't a show about optimism and friends sticking together through all kinds of weather end on a happy note? It should go out with the group continuing to enrich each other's lives until the end, even after the story is over.

 

The thought of friendship continuing on is an encouraging one to leave us with.

Eh, I'm not so sure. I guess a similar scene could be pulled of, but perhaps implying that they'll stay friends no matter what and come and visit each other from time to time. I could see a scene like this being a likely possibility, though; after all, Twilight is a princess, Rainbow Dash wants to become a full on Wonderbolt, Rarity has big aspirations in the fashion business, Applejack is gonna wanna stay on her farm or maybe travel a bit to sell her apples to attract additional business, and Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy... well, I'm sure something big will come up for them.

 

Regardless, it would be hardly fitting for a series like this to end on a sad note, even if it's a happy sad note. Or something like that.

It could happen, I guess when they reach their goals or a dream that they are trying to accomplish. But I guess it could happen in the season finale.

Maybe after the parting ways scene, they could fast forward into the future for a scene to see how each pony turned out. They could show each pony's family and children etc. They could then be shown meeting again together after not seeing each other for a while.

I wouldn't want to see something like this happen, because it would simply be too sad. Instead, I'd like to see something like the Mane 6 staying together, or at least in touch, and helping the next set of ponies start off on their own set of adventures, bringing the series full circle, in a way.

No, it could not happen because there is about zero chance that there will not be movies after the series ends.  They will leave it open-ended.

I think that the only way to pull this off is to emphasize that they're not really breaking up- rahter they're fulfilling their destinies and spreading themselves across Equestria, but are *still* friends to the end- the only difference being geography.  And then end with a montage/group photo of them years down the road, still the best of friends.

I'd say it would be a fitting ending, very dramatic and sad but fitting. All the bronies would be hell sad to see the end of a great show but it eventually all good things have to come to an end right? xP

Hopefully though that the show will still go on for a couple more years, or at least up to 8 seasons x)
