No. She's just dealing with too many problems at home that I think there won't be any time for it to just be us. I get it, though, but still, this is really hard for me because she's been my friend for so long, I've had to build up the nerve to ask her to be my special someone and we finally kicked it off, but it was abruptly ended unfortunately. T.T

 

 

Yeah. But still, this is so devastating for me. She's the first girl I've ever gotten to actually like and I thought that I would be able to visit her someday, but now I guess that dream is dashed.

Aww, so sorry to hear that!

I will say though, the dream of actually getting to meet her is not exactly fully ruined. Nothing says she won't eventually clear out her problems and be able to be with you again, letting you both meet one day. That is always a possibility.

I will include that it may not be the highest or most likely one, but it is definitely still one nonetheless. 

 

All this said, try not to let it hurt you too much. I know this shit isn't fun, but it's not good to let it keep you down either. Not for long, at least.

I just got home about 20 minutes ago. Driving is fun but it's tiring after a while. Where's Cinny-Minny when you need him?

By default, yeah, but Americanness doesn't jive with me well; either that or I just don't get it. Plus, one of my university classes is on ideas in American culture and my first impression was that it was about 50s-70s ideals and how its offshoots are relevant to today, but no, it's all about technology and genetic engineering, which is extremely fascinating to me because it's those things that's prevalent but we never even bother talking about it because it's too benign to be worthy of discussion, and when it is, people get lost.

 

Whatever happens from here on out, we have to make the most of it; I don't want any pessimistic thoughts percolating around but I feel that we're too biased towards pessimism, even though... There was a video on AsASAPAsPossibleScience that said how seeing the glass as half-empty may be good for you but I'm having trouble finding it. Never mind, I found it: 

 

But think about it: a 90min debate with 90min segments, each 90min long. That whole segments is the whole debate. The largest combination of numbers I heard so far was "666 6-minute segments".

it's an interesting thing- 

some states have a "Culture" all their own. California, texas, new mexico, hawaii. Part of "america" in some ways and not in others. Different yet the same.
