Aye. I only really pushed to get mine because I actually needed it. My first SSD was actually in the red for the longest of times and I figured I might as well splurge on both of my upgrades instead of just getting one. Well, I say that, but I actually did need another SSD for other games, so hey.

Think I already posted what I had already:

  • AMD FX 4170 (over)clocked at around 4.5GHz
  • 8GB RAM (my brother's laptop has more RAM than that)
  • Radeon R9 390 (still good as of now, but will probably replace in a few years)
  • A bunch of other stuff...

I'm only upgrading the CPU/motherboard/RAM right now (I think I can hold out on the GPU for another year and I'll be reusing the same drives) but I also want a new case and PSU for that (the last two I can determine myself and that should cost no more than $200 combined). So maybe 1000-ish dollars?

I was already eyeing this as a candidate:

Aye, I know even less on those brands lmao. I can say that you do need more ram, especially for how you love to have multiple things going on at once, so there's my teeny tiny advice lmao. (Man, I wish I was actually tech savvy though. ;A;)

That highly depends on what size you need to fit all your other parts, hun.

That said, I would always go for something that's going to be quiet as it's sooooo nice to sit on the computer all day and literally not hear your pc running once. Only time I hear anything with it running is when nothing else is going on in the room and when my HDD decides to start up, and im pretty sure I can nullify that a bit too if I put my plates back in.

 

This is the one I'm running and I love it so. Mid tower, so its decently sized and quiet as all get out.

Dust is inevitable just about anywhere, hun.

Heat, you just need to make sure you have a good, strong fan in there and that its vents are in an open area.

Heat's rarely been a problem simply because of sufficient cooling, despite having a fan that can't spin anymore. Blowing sand oftentimes happens here, so yeah...

Also, am I too hard on myself?

Did they finally make the avatars bigger? It sure looks like it, and also I haven't been on here in forever. Been so busy with work and such. Today was a day off at least.

Floods are super bad here still, and we got more rain tomorrow. I hope that nothing too bad happens. Most of our dams are overflowing.

I mean, uhh...

I spent WAAAY too much time reading Reddit posts and it culminated in the concept of Googling Google on Google search... on Google Chrome. And some weird Vissy-Cinny dialogue based on one of those posts. (Let's just say it involves Vissy trying to open the door to a bathroom and not knowing what a door or a doorknob is and leaving as a result.)
