I cannot stress this enough. I mean, she doesn't care if I bad mouth her. She's like a dictator, getting mad if someone does something she considers "stupid" or something she doesn't like. Very unpleasant to be around unless you're serious youself most of the time.

I would really prefer to keep everyone happy, but that sometimes isn't possible for whatever reason. What I don't understand is how they decided that their topic of conversation was serious when it was mostly about giant robots, the Emperor, and abstract human philosophy.

 

Just read through the shitstorm that just occured this morning.

 

If you want me to be completely honest with you, I'm kind of one of those people who prefers the way the thread was back in early August, when I first joined. Things were a bit more... organized, if I must say so. And they didn't think their topic was completely serious. This thread, a couple months ago, was able to have 3-5 people holding a sustainable conversation without somebody coming in and posting a series of 1000x1000 pixel pictures that has nothing to do with what was being discussed.

 

Half of what we posted in the earlier days wasn't even serious. Sure, some of it was about the topics you stated, but other things were discussed too. I would look forward to coming into that thread to have a good, funny pic conversation with Weyland or Tishan. Very fun things to do, and there weren't other people spamming other pics that had nothing to do with anything, just there for them to somehow receive attention of some sort. It got to a point where a few of us got sick of everybody here. Eventually, it took a toll on our moods when we would see day after day people spamming stuff like :AMG PONE PICZURS DUD LUK AT DIS SO FUNY".... when it had no correlation to what was going on previously in the thread.

 

I'd be lying to you if I said I wasn't disappointed with the way this thread has taken its turn in the past month or so, and so would Libby and Weyland. I can't remember enjoying this thread as much as I did when it was the older times in question.

 

I ain't hating on you guys, I think you do a very good job, and half of us don't even know what your workload is IRL and on here, so I'm not the one to judge the level of moderation on this thread.

 

Needless to say, I was actually quite confused, because I couldn't believe that folks were honestly upset about a title change. Did I miss something?

 

Well, last time you changed the thread to Random Chat Thread is when that whole spamfest that happens still today started. So it is natural that a few of us are not very happy to see the thread make all these new changes, as, in the past, it has sparked things for the worst.

He is both. he does like some serious talk, but also likes a little bit of random. Too much random and he ignores it.

Both of those people are my friends. While I don't approve of their actions personally towards the mods much, I do see their viewpoint and would wish what they want would happen. Sadly, which has been stated by multiple mods, it's very hard to pull off every single day.

Libby is just very militant, and isn't afraid to voice her opinion. She's a very nice person, you just can't get on her bad side, really. The same could be applied to Weaver too, just to a lesser extent
