I was honestly slightly "Oh...crap...Feld0 got upset" when I read that today. If he ever gets mad, please take me to the nuclear bunker. Then again, he has every right. There was some serious BS that was spoken in some posts by Obsidian Winter... (Sigh).

That post should be required reading for everyone. Really, I was surprised when I came home from a long day at work only to find that the mods and staff were getting dragged through the mud with allegations of a banner conspiracy. It just didn't make any sense to me...

It's kind of sad, yeah. If I can say anything, this forum can use more transparency on what a mod can and can't do.

This is the truth, really. That's why it totally bites when me or Feld0 have to step away from tech stuff to write long, tedious posts trying to tell folks that we are not a cigar-chomping anti-AJ cartel. That time is freaking valuable, and it adds up fast. One week, I spent a total of 12 and a half hours going back and forth with folks about a banner. That could've been a site feature right there. Folks need to cool their roll and do what I suggested. Send. One. In. Sheesh.

Heheh, it's always much easier just to blame someone for the lack of something rather than helping in creating some. Hm, maybe an official "We Need Banner" thread can help? With everyone (hopefully) rushing to submit a banner, the likes of those whiners wouldn't have any right to say that there is no <insert poni here> banner

 

We all have our moments. The beauty of being older and living at home while paying bills is that I can legitimately say "I've already contributed". Then, I simply pass the baton on to my younger siblings. Everyone is like, "LOL, ok". Well... Most of the time. Every once in a while, I get pulled into epic work here at the house, but I don't really mind.

I've been poking around with the quoting bug, and I'm still not able to properly reproduce the issue consistently so that I can have IPS engineer a solution. This is like a literal "ghost in the machine". I think I've found something, and then *boom* I send it to IPS. About 6 to 24 hours later, they tell me that the problem is gone. I check and, sure enough, it is. Then... The next day... It's back!? I think it is playing games with my mind.

Really? That's weird... Maybe the problem comes from click-quoting from the middle of the post, so it doesn't register as one?

 

The bbcode is exactly the same though. Yep it's a ghost all right @_@

 

Then would it be ok for one or more of us to make a new AJ banner?

I'm proud to say I skimmed it because I already know most of what was written in it. Should be common sense if ya ask me.

Heck yeah. I don't think folks think about this or not, but we kinda need all of the banners that folks can send us. We'll have a long time between seasons, and we will need lots of non-episode related banners to cycle during that time period. Unfortunately, we're gonna be at this point in a matter of weeks.

We all have our moments. The beauty of being older and living at home while paying bills is that I can legitimately say "I've already contributed". Then, I simply pass the baton on to my younger siblings. Everyone is like, "LOL, ok". Well... Most of the time. Every once in a while, I get pulled into epic work here at the house, but I don't really mind. 

 

 

 

You know what's sad? After all of the fussing, complaining, and insinuations... The guy that sent in that banner was the only one to do so. I didn't get any others in my inbox. That was, literally, THE AJ banner. Funny thing is that it just got here not too long ago, so eh... Dude, we've got to work with what we have.

If I had a good enough job for that then id totally do exactly that. But I only get enough to pay my smaller bills like my phone bill and chip into my insurance. Not to mention the rain+lack of work has left me inside for like, three weeks. (Laying asphalt, mind you)

I think its time to go hardcore on some applications around town...

Wow...you'd think all those that did any sort of complaining would have at least attempted one. Thankfully, i actually never complained. Mine would have been a horrible clown colored train wreck. X3
