Oh by the way, I got my new hard drive. I can tell that it's faster since my old drive's at ~90+% read capacity and my new one rarely goes above 20-50%.

It's not that one drive's faster than the other, it's that the other drive's slower than the other. Or something like that or something, I dunno. Is there a difference between read and write speeds like there is upload and download speeds?

I think it might be that my new drive is a SATA generation 3 drive (~6Gbps advertised transfer speeds) and the other one isn't (IE, I don't know what it is.)
