Fire Star

When Fire was walking with Biscuit and Twilight to Pinkie Pie house. Fire saw a pegisai walking with Dogboots a pegisai looking kind of weird it was is wings they were paper thin and transparent it look like a changeling wings. Fire was walking by them he couldn't stop looking at that pegisai after there they pass them.

 

Fire started to think the attack of Canterlot with all the changelings come to take the ponies they have captured. Fire did his best to stop them but it was some mush of them but suddenly a bright light come out of nowhere and all the changelings were gone. Fire snapped out of his thought and they were at Pinkie pie house " Ok Biscuit and Twilight I well knock at the door now" Fire said in a funny ton. And he start to knock at Pinkie Pie house door. 

 

Twilight

When they got to Pinkie Pie house a pegisai come out of nowhere he said to Twilight " This is a letter form Princess Celestia Twilight" the pegisai give it to Twilight. Twilight took the letter and the pegisai left Twilight look at the letter top emergency. Twilight was in shock she look at the guys and said to them" Sorry Fire and Biscuit I got some thing to do first go head with out me I be back OK" Twilight said and she left. 

 

Twilight got to the library and open the letter and she read " My student I have some bad news the Changelings are back and we in Canterlot are in high alert and the Crystal Empire as well to. I ask Corkscrew to look after you and Eclipes please Twilight do not do some thing footage please go to Corkscrew. He well keep you safe Your Princess Celestia "

 

Oh my the Changelings are back this is not good I need to got my friend we can stop the attack. We need to got the Elements of Hamadey." Twilight left the library to got her friends.

When Parcel was fae enough away from the two stallions he slowed to a walk trying to think he had to close his line first.

Every changeling knows that when looking for prey they simply need to put out an invisible mental line that seeks out strong emotion they can leave it out for day even weeks feeling all the emotions of the creatures that surround them. Then when they find a pony in live they latch onto them many have compared a changelings line to a spiders web. And now Parcel had to reel his back in so as to not intake anymore negative emotions and just ashe was closing it he picked up one more emotion. Recognition. And then it was gone. Parcel whipped around trying to see who it have come from but there were too many ponies around any one off them could be a changeling he just couldn't tell. He had to get out of site.

Nexus was flying through the air, trying to overcome the immeasurable pain he was in. When one opens a wound that big, it becomes hard to close it again. He looked around the street until he found a familiar pair of insect wings. He flew down and landed in front of the changeling. Took a second to glare before speaking lowly.

 

"If you truly are...reformed." He scoffed at the idea, but he had little choice. He needed help to get these changelings.

 

"Then help me stop these changelings from taking another home from me." He remembered it dying at the hands of negativity. He wanted so bad for that thing to die. But he knew if it did, not only would he be arrested, he would also be dooming Ponyville. But he couldn't keep it alive if he was buck miserable. He also needed its trust. But how...He was going to do something drastic. No, it would be stupid to indulge this vile cre-

 

"Second Chances"

 

Dogboots' words rang out. He knew he was right, but he hated it. He hated changelings, but in order to kill many, he needed to aid one. He swallowed hard, both his spit and pride.

 

"As a peace offering...I can offer..." He shudders, but then steals himself.

 

"Just because I have such respect for the Princess...I will allow you to recover strength off of...the love I have for those long gone." He couldn't believe he was saying this. He hated this thing. But he needed it. Celestia needed it. Dogboots needed it. Seems like everypony needed it. So he would have to swallow his pride and just do it.

 

"It will be over before you know it. Like taking a blood sample." He thought to himself.

Parcel hesitated he remembered the pain of having the strength sucked out of him he couldn't even speak he was unsure and shocked this pony was so set on destroying everythijg that Parcel was everything he stood for. Why was he doing this now was it a trick could he be dead once he lets his line out?

 

"Thank you. And I'll agree to work for you but I would rather not feed off of anypony that's the reason I left the changelings in the first place, call it conflict of interest."

After Nexus had treated the stallion's wounds he had left commenting on Parcel. Dogboots sat there for awhile before getting back up and began limping his way back into town to find a hospital and get properly treated.  The earth pony soon bumped into Twilight and fell down. Pain surged through the stallion like he was stabbed again by Nexus claws

 

"Ouch! Sorry about that, Ms. Sparkle." He apologized to the alicorn while struggling to get back on his hooves.

Im not going to die I can hold off the hunger at least until the rest of the changelings out of here look if I feed on you it'll drain you and I had it it's my hook all of us have them you mustve remembered when Crysalis tried to take over well her hooknwas being able to control ponies after she fed off of them. We all have them and mine drains the people I feed off of I can't feed off of anyone else.

Nexus saw what appeared to be a Guard flying overhead. He knew that was a good place to start.

 

"Follow me changeling, and try to keep up." He took off towards the Guard. He managed to fly up next to him.

Nexus had to yell to be heard, as they were moving fast enough for wind to be an issue. Given his depressed and drained demeanor, it was taking all his energy just to follow this Guard.

Parcel followed behind Nexus matching his speed being as changelings were known for their light weight speed. He was curious as to what they were doing following this particular pony but also he had some other questions he wanted answered that weren't going to get answered sitting still.

"This would be it sir. It is allegedly reformed, turning down an offer to feed off of love." Nexus said unconvincingly. He returned to his straight posture that he saw his dad use when being addressed by his superiors. He remembered practicing in the mirror for years, combine that with the research he did into the Royal Guard, and Nexus knew exactly how to address them.

Parcels expression darkened hearing the tone in the bat ponies voice being called in and being treated like he wasn't there. Parcel knew thank changelings were feared and hated all across equestia but never imagined it would ever be this severe and the princess just seemed so nice. Parcel knew that technically changelings didn't have genders but ever since he found out about ponies he knew that he wanted to be a boy and more importantly he wanted to be a pony. And now he was so close but things weren't turning out the wat he had hoped.

"If me or the changeling seem cold, I apologize sir, I had a bit a...disagreement with it prior to now. It ended in an earth pony getting injured protecting it." Nexus leaned in to whisper this, out of earshot of the changeling.

 

"While this Dogboots denies it, I believe that it is influencing him. Possibly with a loved one long gone. It tried to manipulate me by changing into and impersonating my deceased father. It claims to be reformed-Celestia herself says so-and I have the utmost respect for royalty, but I would still be cautious with it. Too much trust caused the Canterlot invasion, after all." He stepped back, returning to his normal tone.

Nexus remembered seeing that report after a Guard sloppily lost his copy, and actually laughing at the description. They made him out to be a psychopath 

 

"They were right about the body count. I have a...personal vendetta against them. If they are holding ponies prisoner there, I volunteer to be a part of the rescue team." On cue, his claws pulsed to life, sending lightning arcing across the claws and onto the ground.

Parcel flinched as the claws came to life those thinfs broight back terrible memories of changeling hunters. He close his eye tight against the memories blocking out the pain before opening them once more. Hoping that the other two hadn't noticed his reaction.

Corkscrew looked at the library door and than back to the group.

 

"I have a few.....things...to get to so if you will excuse me....I have a few things to discus with Ms. Sparkle in privet."

Corkscrew new he had to get the Twilight and the element of harmony bearers to safety. He knew that was his main objective, He just hoped that DarkSun would get there with Rairity in time.

"I understand sir. Truth be told, this will be my first time in command as well. I am confident we will pull through." Nexus saluted Corkscrew before he turned to the changeling.

 

"Don't worry changeling, I have a plan. But we need to assemble a team. One that can strike fast and strike hard..."

 

45 MINUTES LATER

 

Nexus had assembled a team of 5 ponies to help in his mission. That team was Big Mac, Doctor Whooves (never watched Doctor WHo before :l) Cloud Kicker, Derpy Hooves, and somehow Soarin from the Wonderbolts. Nexus still had no idea why a Wonderbolt was in Ponyville-maybe for the pie they sold at Sugarcube Corner-but when he heard what was happening, he decided to help.

 

"Fillies, Gentlecolts, as you are aware, changelings threaten to attack Ponyville and claim the town for their own." A few murmurs were passed between the team before they returned attention.

 

"I have been asked to lead a strike team against a camp they have in the Everfree forest. We have intel suggesting that they have several ponies captive there and are feeding off them as we speak. Our top priority is to extract the captives, and then to eliminate any and all changeling in the camp. This camp appears to have a strong enemy presence, but does not look like the main enemy encampment. This group looks like they have been separated from the main and have set up shop until they are retrieved. And they will be soon, given that their food supply is with them. We shall go over the plan once we have a visual on the enemy encampment." Nexus internally was relishing in this. All those years of preparation are finally coming into play. He turned to the changeling, who stood at his side.

 

"This changeling is a operative for Princess Celestia and was the one who got us this intel. It will lead us to the enemy encampment and assist in the assault. I there are no questions, then let us get going."

 

1 HOUR LATER

 

The team crept up to the camp, but only Soarin and Nexus were armed. The Wonderbolt had a large stick that was found on the way here.

 

"Alright, here is the plan." Nexus whispered.

 

"Big Mac, Doctor, you two will take position there and there." He pointed behind to changeling guards that were posted on the camp edge. The camp was fairly small, only containing about 10 changelings. Hanging from the trees were about 7 pods, each containing a pony. They were unconscious, and twitching in the pods.

 

"When I give the signal, you each take out the guards silently. Remember, one quick blow to the throat will do it. Once that is done, the changeling will work to open each pod and safely extract the ponies inside. When the pony is free, Cloud Kicker and Derpy, you two will help get the ponies to safety.
