Beat nodded and stood up. "You are quite right. I am fine with staying up late considering I have to do it all the time when I am performing...but we may keep the other's awake. Come on, I cant wait to do this." He said, smiling at her before trotting into the house but looking back out to see if Accent was following.

Star giggled. "If this is a dream...I never wanna wake up." She said, hugging him and letting out a happy sigh as she nuzzled his cheek.

Accent wasn't far from him, wanting to get this recording done and out of the way. "Yeah... I don't want to upset Scamper if I make noise in our room... And I don't think you have a roommate, if I'm not mistaken... Yeah, this will totally go through with the recording. What about the acoustics in the room though?"

Beat turned around and started walking towards the stairs. He was feeling quite excited about recording with Accent. "I'm sure it'll be fine. Worst case we will just have to get together in Ponyville and get another recording...maybe get some dinner as well." He winked back at her before walking up the stairs towards his room.

Yet another remark for a date...

 

This is starting to get old... Is he really wanting to go out with me that badly? I've never seen someone so attracted to me before... Kind of cute, but...

@, Max returned the hug, resting his head on Stars shoulder. He felt happy. Happy to be on this island. Happy to be staying in a luxury home. Happy to have gourmet food. And happy to be with Star. That last one especially. He not only made a friend, but something more, and it was one of the greatest moments of his life. Without breaking the embrace, Max speaks up. 

"So, are we...a thing now? If that isn't a weird question." Max said, peace in his voice.

"I...would like that. But only if you want it. The last thing I want is for you to be uncomfortable." Max really did want a relationship with Star. But he didn't want it to be one-sided, as he couldn't enjoy it if she didn't. He didn't want her to feel rushed.

"Now you worry about the pacing of things?"

"I guess I could see how it could be romantic," Scamps replied carefully, trying not to make this awkward. She liked Nightfall, but not like that. To her, he was just a friend. "I mean, if two ponies needed a place for a first date or a proposal, this would be a great place, I guess."

Accent kindly trotted into the room, looking around. The room was near the same as hers, except there was only one bed.

 

"Hmm? Oh, no, I'm fine...", she said before faintly saying to herself: "I wish you would stop calling me sweetheart though.."

 

((I don't know why, but I feel so drained tonight... I'm going to head to sleep early tonight. Oh, and I might not post for a good amount tomorrow, mainly during the evening.))

Beat frowned as he heard her mutter something about not calling her sweetheart. "Oh...sorry. You know if you don't want me doing something, I will do my best to stop. There is no need to suffer through my obnoxious flirty comments if you don't want to." He said, using his magic to turn on the light and some DJing equipment set up in a corner.

Star looked down from the...uh...stars and shook her head. "No no, I like it. I would be happy with anything as long as I got to be around you." She said, smiling and nuzzling his cheek again.

"The feeling is mutual, believe me." Max said, nuzzling Stars neck. The smell of seawater reminded him of their location.

"Maybe we should head back inside now." He said, beginning to tread back to the shore. As he swam, he couldn't shake the feeling of bliss. The warm water didn't help much. If not for being able to feel everything around him, he would swear he was in a dream. He decided that the rest of his vacation would be spent in Stars company. Being with her made everything ten times better. When he got back to shore, he sat near the pearl he discovered, waiting for Star to arrive.

He kept smiling, but open his eyes. The sun was just going over the horizon, and he saw the green flash as it disappeared.

Star followed him to shore but when the water was only just passed her hooves she shook herself off and wrung out her tail.
She trotted farther up the beach and gently picked up the pearl that Max had given her. She held it in her hooves as she hovered a couple feet away from Max. "I am pretty tired...maybe we should get to bed." She said.

Max couldn't help but yawn. Today was amazing, but tiring.

"OK, follow me." Max flew up, circling up and around the building, until he came to his balcony. He landed on it, looking back to confirm that Star was behind him. He trotted over to his door, standing by it. He noticed his concierge and fedora hanging on the rack across from him. And for the first time, he felt like he didn't need it. He felt like he looked good without it. Because she didn't require it. Star was subtly boosting his confidence, and he loved it. He loved her.

She then realized that her room was across the hall...not in here. She felt slightly disappointed and moved towards the door. "I um...better go to bed." She said.

"Now whatever you do, don't say something stupid."

"Your, uh, welcome to stay here. If you want."

"See there? That was something stupid."

"Your welcome to the bed. I mean, I'm not trying to imply...I could just sleep next to you. NO wait not like THAT, I mean, uh, in the same, but not..."

"Do us all a kindness and SHUT UP!" Max closed his mouth to avoid digging himself a deeper grave.

Nightfall chuckled, and climbed the stairs to his room on his hooves. He reached his room, unlocked it, and went inside.

"Huh... I feel good enough to sing... Maybe tomorrow, though. I gotta sleep."

He lay on his bed, the window still open and letting in a cool ocean breeze. He fell asleep to the softened sound of the waves and to the smell of the ocean.

Max, while Star was getting ready, decided to make preparations of his own. He flew to the bathroom, jumping in the shower for a solid 30 seconds to remove the seawater smell, then brushed his teeth vigorously. Checking his breath, he flew back out in time to meet Star. She was wearing pink and blue pajamas and matching socks, holding a pillow that looked rather soft.

"I didn't think she could get any more adorable, yet here we are." Max went over to the bed, pulling the blanket back an laying on the right side of the bed. He patted the left side invitingly, still blown away by the sheer force of Stars cuteness.

Lorcan was still daydreaming when all the ponies left. He had been so deep into his thoughts he didn't notice anything around him. "Whoops, guessed i zoned out for a second." He said to pony. He then let out a sigh and walked away from the table. Walking into his house, Lorcan began to sing himself a little

. He then walked to his room situated next to the guests room. He gently closed the door and plopped down on his bed. I didn't get to talk to any pony one on one, besides welcoming and what not. He thought as he buried his face in his pillow. Tomorrow will be a new day. I just hope that i can strike up a conversation with them. 

 

   As Lorcan slept he began to have a vivid nightmare. Yelling, Lorcan jumped up covered in sweat. When he looked outside,he noticed it was morning. Nightmares huh? that won't dampen my spirits. Lorcan thought as he got up.
