Accent smiled, not feeling the small changes to her... Her mane was growing shorter, along with her growing a small goatee. Her long tail had shortened and what she didn't expect was her voice...

 

"Just rest on the--" She shot a hoof to her throat, experiencing her new, low voice. "What the heck? Why is my... No..."

 

She grabbed the mirror, noticing her new appearance. "...I'M A STALLION?!?!"

Beat stared at Accent as she went from she...to he. "Buck." She said. She felt the sudden urge to...giggle...at Accents goatee. Along with the sudden want to giggle...she found herself suddenly...very...very attracted to Accent. "Uhhh...wait what ? You didn't drink the potion did you ? What...whaaaat ?"

He smiled, and hugged her back, holding her with his hooves and his wings. He soon found that he was getting drowsy, and while Windy had said that she didn't want him gone, he wasn't sure if he should fall asleep with her in his hooves. But as he was debating, sleep crept up, so he eventually gave in and fell asleep with Windy cuddled up next to him.

About 10 minutes and a weird mix of blue and green flames later (thank Celestia the room didn't catch fire) Max was able to regain control of himself, and helped Star to her feet.

"Hehe, Come on, lets go save the damsel in distress." He held in another laugh and began flying back to the house with Star. Upon reaching it, he got into his *uncomfortably small* room, and quickly picked up his journal from the bed. He also noticed another flask missing. Looking through, he saw that the gender swap potion could either be cured by kissing a pony of the opposite gender to his/her current gender-meaning Beat would have to kiss a colt- or wait for the effects to were off. That would be 48 hours.

"OK. Follow me." He power walked over to Beats room.

"Oh, wait I got an idea." He whispered. He knocked on the door gently.

"Beat, Accent. Its me. Sorry I took so long." He raised his pitch to roughly his pony voice.

"Can you get the door, I cant open it." He stood back and made himself look as big as possible.

"And you... You're perfect all around, Lorcan. Don't ever change; that would only make you worse."

She smiled, getting as close as physically possible to him. She smiled at him, and kissed him a couple times more.

"I wouldn't mind staying on this island with you... Forever."

Lorcan laughed a little.

"I would like that. I would like that a lot." He said 

She has been perfect to me. I must repay her somehow.

"Solara, what is the one thing you wish you had right now ,but didn't have the money for it?" Lorcan asked as he breathed in Solara's wonderful scent.

Star followed Max back to the house and giggled slightly as he knocked on Beat's door. She stood next to him and took a deep breath, getting ready to unleash her loudest roar...which was probably gonna fail considering she has never done it before.

 

((Rockshire has gone to bed...so...))

Beat looked up at the door. "Max ? Star ? Oh hi...guess what...I'M A BUCKING MARE...AND NOW ACCENT IS A COLT. Just open the door or don't come in at all." She mumbled the last part and fell face first into the pillows with her flank in the air.

 

 

 

"Maybe we should give them some time to adjust...I don't think they need dragon's along with being the opposite gender." She whispered, standing on the tips of her talons to whisper in Max's ear.

Max thought for a moment.

"So they both gender swapped? OK, so they can kiss each other and...no...it has to be a true colt. Not a transformed one. I cant do it for the reasons of not a bucking chance in Tartarus, and I am a dragon at the moment. That leaves Nightfall or Lorcan...which is more likely to be bi? In any case, I need to get this info to them. This should be fun..." He took a deep breath, before speaking in his 'normal' tone.

"Guys, you may notice my voice is considerably lower. I am coming in with Star. Don't panic. I mean it. Stay calm. Don't flip out at what you are about to see." Max opens the door, having to duck through the door. Luckily their ceiling is much higher than his, and he is able to stand at his full 7 feet. He looks down at the two and simply puts,

"You HAD to go rummaging through my thing, didn't you Beat?"

Scamps curled up with Nightfall, her eyes beginning to feel heavy. Her hoives slowly moved up his back to his neck. Her head rested there, and she kissed his neck gently.

 

"I love you. Even though if I wa swith you, it only bring pain to both of us...that doesn't change anything. I will find a way to be with you." She whispered, her muzzle near his ear.

 

She began to drift off to sleep in his sweet embrace, her head on his shoulders and his warmth surronding her.

Beat turned around and stared up at Max. Her eyes were wide but her surprised expression went from that...too one of annoyance. "Star said something about a healing potion. Accent's leg was broken...and it was BAD. I tried to find something to help her...him...I was going to ask but no pony was there. I was desperate okay. Why are you a giant lizar-" She was cut off as Star entered the room as well...which just made things even weirder. "Star ? You too ? You're both...d-dragons. This trip just went from normal...to weird...to what the buck." She said, turning around and falling back into the pillows, her flank going back into the air.


Star stepped into the room and giggled at the sight. "You two look hilarious." She said.

To anypony-besides Star, as he too was a dragon-Max looked terrifying. He looked down on Beat sternly.

"Beat, I understand the situation was bad, but he went into my room, got into my potions, clearly made false assumptions, then drank I gender potion that you thought would heal your marefriend. Funny how you DRANK THE POTION BEFORE YOUR MAREFRIEND HAD THE CHANCE!" Max growled, and was glaring daggers at the mare, or to be more exact, the mares flank. Max took a deep breath, small flames coming out of his nostrils, stopping short of the floor. He couldn't let his new draconic nature get the best of him.

"What you did was stupid, reckless, and uncalled for, considering there was a bucking journal with the word POTION on it!" He held out the journal for him to see. It was hard to flip through, as it was much smaller to Max now. He flipped to the page and read the passage out loud.

"The only known remedy is to kiss a pony of the gender opposite to yours. For 5 seconds. It will fail if kissing a transformed pony.' So sorry pal, but you cant make out with Accent or me for this. You need to find either Lorcan or Nightfall. Or you can wait 48 hours for the potion to were off, but theoretically speaking this will cause your mare voice to be...permanent." Max was doing fairly well at controlling his temper, but he was still very angry at Beat for this.

"So I suggest you find one of the two, and make out with him. Same for you Accent. Find a mare and kiss for 5 seconds or you will have a colt voice for your entire life." Max finished, his voice carrying a passive aggressive growl throughout. He decided to add this, just out of frustration.

"Oh, and I could smell you 2 miles off. You smelled of tears, anger, and emotion. I think I also picked up bloodlust." Max cackled dryly at the thought.

"Well feel free to take a crack at the 7 foot dragon covered in spikes that burps gas." He added.

Star frowned. "Max...be nice." She whispered, taking his claw in hers.

 

Beat turned around and glared up at Max, not caring if he was three times her size. "I sipped the potion to make sure it was the right one before giving it to my marefriend. She was in pain. HER LEG WAS LITERALLY SNAPPED IN TWO. I WAS DESPERATE. And forgive me for finding a potion in a bottle of wine and not noticing a book when my marefriend...again...WAS IN THE OTHER ROOM WITH A SNAPPED LEG. Yea, it was stupid of me. I get it. But considering the fact that MY MAREFRIEND WAS IN PAIN...Allot of pain, I was desperate." She said, still glaring up at him. "And when that potion on you wares off is when I would kick your flank. But guess what. I have realized that its not your fault...it was mine and I admit it. Now, leave us alone." She turned around and assumed the same position as before...on the pillow.

Lorcan laughed a little.

"I would like that. I would like that a lot." He said

Max noticed Star take his claw, and that did calm him down a little...until Beat got the GAL to talk to him like that, to the possible threat, and to his flagrant dismissal of him. Who the hell did this-this...WORM think she was?! Max was fighting back the urge to pummel her senseless but instead he muttered "Sorry Star" before he picked Beat up and pinned her to a wall.

"Listen hear Beat Drop!" His voice was drenched in poison, and would make the hair stand up in Discord himself.

"I don't care what you did, what I did, but I will not be talked to with such disrespect!" He growled, his nose fuming small flames.

"I demand your respect and courtesy you disgusting little worm! If I so much as HEAR you make a threat, or a smart-ass comment to me OR Star, pony form or otherwise, the I will make you regret the day of you birth, so help me Celestia!" He moved his face so that it was only a mere inch from Beats. 

"DO. YOU. UNDERSTAND. ME?!" He growled out, absolute fiery rage and hate was in Max's eyes, his voice the thing of nightmares. And believe or not, this was him controlling his nature to a mild extent. If this is mild, one can only imagine what giving in completely would warrant. In the farthest reaches of his mind, he wondered what the others in the room would think of this. But he was in Dragon Mode, so he didn't care.

Beat struggled against Max and gave a frightened nod as the dragon fished speaking...Star however...

 

"MAX. THAT IS ENOUGH." She yelled, pushing him away, forcing him to drop Beat to the ground. She leaned down and helped Beat back up onto her hooves before glaring up at Max. "You need to go think about what you just did." She growled, standing up straight again.

Max didn't fall to the ground, but did stagger back. He immediately looked up, poised in an aggressive combat stances-that looked like a demon ready to rip someponys head off-but when he saw that it was Star, he hesitated for a moment. The part of his mind that was still Max was fighting not to attack the mare/dragoness he loved. He did the next best thing, and kicked a dresser in so hard it fell to pieces. He glared down at Beat Drop.

"You remember what I said. And if you forget, I WILL remind you!" He growled before storming out the balcony, flying off to Celestia-knows where. On his way out, he DID let out a blood curdling roar that could be heard across the entire island, shooting flames as he flew off. Thankfully the building didn't catch fire.

Star growled as Max flew off...she knew something like this was going to happen. "Are you okay, Beat ?" She asked. Beat nodded and sat down on the bed...moments later she was crying...again. "Why am I so bucking emotional...buck this bucking crap." She said, dropping her head into her hooves.
Star sat down on the bed next to Beat with a loud *Thump* She gently patted the...uh...Mare on the back which she did quite well considering her new strength. "Its okay Beat...I am sure Nightfall or Lorcan will be nice enough to give you a kiss. And ignore Max...I think the potion has changed more than just his appearance." She said, glancing at the smashed dresser.
Beat simply nodded...she had nothing else to say.

could she be hinting at what i think she's hinting at? He thought as he looked into her blushing face. Lorcan hoped that she was wanting to be his wife.

(Its time for Max to go nuts, ala-de Secret of my Excess style)

Max circled around the island, glaring down on it, contempt in his eyes.

"Who the buck do those two think they are. Beat is a little worm buck that shows respect to nopony. And Star has the NERVE to push em aside, interrupting discipline of the lesser? Buck them. I don't need them. I don't need anypony!" He dove down to his room, and immediately started shoving things into bags.

"Nopony is getting my stuff. They all are a bunch of dirty thieves, taking others things. THIEVES, ALL OF YOU!" When his room was stripped bare, he went over to Stars room.

"Lets see how THEY like having things taken. THAT will teach them!" He vacated that room too. And the next, and the next. The only rooms he didn't loot were the occupied ones, but Max was hardly being subtle. He could be heard pretty clearly. By the time he got around to the kitchen, he was full to capacity. Looking around, he saw a pack of large industrial garbage bags. He pulled them out and started looting the kitchen, and then Lorcans music room, until almost everything in the house was gone.

"Now, I need to get this somewhere safe. A cave maybe." His voice was even more sinister than before, as he has almost completely lost himself to dragon nature. He was strong enough to carry the massive load, and with a powerful flap, he takes off into the jungle.

Star stayed beside Beat...until she heard something coming from down the hall...then down the stairs.
She frowned and stood up. "I'll be right back." She said, walking out onto the balcony to see Max flying off into the forest...with piles of random items. She growled before spreading her wings and flying after him.

She kept flying until she was just a few feet behind him. "We need to talk." She said, putting her claw's on her hips and giving Max a very serious stare.

Max turned to look up at Star, and Max glared daggers back. Once again, though, he was kept from attacking from the small piece of him left. So instead he went on the defensive, diving down into a nearby cave. He got as far in as he could-which wasn't far, you could see the entrance from where he was- and began piling all of the random objects into a large mass. He stood atop it on all fours, looking almost feral. He called out.

"Keep you distance or I will attack!" He didn't want Star-or anypony for that matter-getting close to him. He crouched low on all 4 in a defensive stance.

Star followed him into the cave, ignoring his warning. "You're not going to hurt me Max. Now, look at what your doing...find that little part of you still there and look." She said, landing a few feet away from Max. "I told you drinking the potion was a bad idea. And you drank more than me so the effects are worse. Now, find that small part of you that is...still you." She said, slowly approaching the pile.

When she finished talking, Max took a swipe at her, coming short of her face by a few inches. He couldn't do it. He couldn't hurt her.

"Look at me Star, I'm no longer incapable. No longer am I too weak, or too slow! NOW I CAN PROTECT MYSELF! PROTECT YOU! PROTECT A FOAL! NO LONGER AM I A CLUMSY WEAKLING! NOW NOPONY WILL HURT ME OR WHAT I HOLD DEAR! NOT BEAT DROP! NOT A BUCKING WATERFALL! NOT A DAMNED POTION! NOTHING CAN STAND IN MY WAY! NOTHING!!!!!"

 

Max was roaring the last part, screaming loud enough for everypony for 10 miles to hear. His rage shows its true form. It was his damned insecurity. He felt so incompetent, that now that he has power, he takes full advantage, going so far as to threaten those he cares about to overcompensate. His eyes now contained a hint of pain, along with his usual rage fit. He kept the defensive stance, eyeing Star with anger, fear, pain, sorrow, and a slight hint of regret.

Star winced as Max yelled at her...tears escaped her eyes but she ignored them and did her best to reply calmly. "Than...if n-nothing can stand in your w-way...why am I here ? W-What am I doing here if i'm n-not standing in your w-way ? This isn't you M-Max. This is n-not you. This is just that stupid p-potion. I love you Max...I n-need you to come to your s-senses." She said, taking a deep breath and walking closer to the pile, not stopping.

As Star climbed up the pile, Max was feeling genuine fear. At this point, he entered a fight of flight instinct. He ended up with neither, as his mind was working too hard to get moving. So he stood there, paralyzed in indecision. Who he truly was is now coming out to try and get control back. He saw her tears as she got closer, and that was like stabbing his chest and twisting the blade. Her words rang in his mind. 

"I love you Max...I n-need you to come to your s-senses." That hit home, harder than any attack could. All the strength within his dragon being was gone. He fell limb on the pile, sobbing uncontrollably. He eventually ended curled in a feeble position, a very unusual sight considering Max's outward appearance. He curled up like a hedgehog and sobbed, unable to get words out.
