"Easy Star! Let me cook this first!" He shoved it into the oven and began cooking it. He looked over at Star.

"You can have this. But remember. You need to keep control of your dragon urges. You saw first hand the result of engaging such urges."

Star stared at Max before a few tears trickled down her cheeks. "I just...ate meat..." Her lip quivered. "I...I just ate meat." She dropped her head into her claws as she fell against the fridge, sobbing.

Beat stared at Accent then nodded. "Accent...I...I actually kinda like being a mare...like...I dunno. I never wanted to be one...but now that I actually am one...well." She said, turning a slight pink. "But Max...kissed me...and I am still a mare...I guess something went wrong. But what am I supposed to say to my dad ? My fan's ? My...my agent." As she finished her eyes widened in fear...her agent was creepy.

Max knelt down, draping a wing around Star, minding the spikes.

"It's OK. Truth be told, I ate chicken once, Entire chicken breast. Not my proudest moment." He gave her a kiss on the forehead, and helped her up.

"Come on, lets get out of hear before the smell clouds your mind." He said, leading them away.

"How do you think I feel? My fans would probably flip as well. Along with my parents.... But, who cares? If you like it, then you go for it...", Accent simply said, looking down onto Beat. "I'm willing to accept it. And you should too. OK? Heck, I'll admit it with you at the same time."

Star sobbed again before looking at the oven. "But...i'm so bucking hungry...Max...what am I supposed to do ?"

Beat looked up into Accent's eyes. "Maybe its because I already am I mare...but I don't want to be a colt...I always acted tough and strong...but that's not me...I have been hiding for so long. Okay...lets do it." She said.

Accent smiled, looking straight down to Beat. "Perfect... Now... uh... I was sorta thinking... We could..."

 

He didn't want to say it right out loud, but as a hint, he knocked his hooves together, implying a certain action that they had performed in the recent past. "Do you?"

He looked at the ground, then back at her. He patted the bed beside him.

"I want to hear what you have to say, so I'm all ears."

At least, that could have been the ideal thing to say. But he stayed silent, waiting for Windy to start talking about what she wanted to say.

Max kept them moving, and thought of an alternative. He thought hard about it. But soon they had returned to their room, and Max was happy to see the bed would be big enough for them. He got an idea. 

"Here, I think I have something in my pack." He dug around, and pulled out a large bag. He opened it, and got it wet quickly. It formed into a large steak. It was tofu. But it did well to replicate the taste. Some say you cant tell the difference. Mind you most of them are griffins.

"I brought this in case I needed to get away from a bear or something. Eat it up." He said, placing it on a nearby desk. He valued his hooves and don't want them eaten.

Star picked up the tofu and took a few bites before smiling. "Wow...this taste's delicious." She said, smiling and taking another big bite.

Beat stared at Accent for a minute before chuckling. "Of course after I agree to stay like this that is the first thing you think about...and I dunno...I feel...well, I don't really...as a mare...know how. I mean, I get the idea but...you know." She said, blushing and shuffling her hooves.

Max watched her eat. He ate a few haycakes before he got her under control. She attacked that steak like a changling attacks a loving couple. He didn't want her to lose herself. Not like he did. Given his sub transformation-meaning his transformation is internal, not external-he was still fireproof, and he was tempted by meat. He just had higher resistance than Star in full transformation. He waited for her to finish eating before approaching.

"Here, I need you to go into the bathroom, lock the door while I go dispose of the real steak in the oven." Max didn't want her smelling that. Even he would be hard pressed to resist.

Star finished her food and nodded after Max spoke. "I think now that I am full i'll be fine...but I think to be safe...you're right." She said, hopping up to her feet. She glanced back at the bed where she had been sitting and blushed slightly...he spikes had ripped the bed sheets here and there. "Oh dear...I guess I'll have to fix that for Lorcan...I really hope he isn't angry." She said, walking into the bathroom, closing the door and locking it behind her.

She walked in and sat down on the bed next to him. "I've been thinking about what hapenned earlier today...and what I said. And, well, maybe we can make ir work. I don't know why, but a part of me...most of me...doesn't want to be without you. I love you, even if I'm too clutzy, and may hurt you. I promise, I will find a way to make this work, without harming you. For all I care, I'm just....really...paranoid." She was starting to stammer, as the thoughts came back and began to take over her. She was starting to regret this conversation. But that part of her still wanted to go on.

 

"I love you, and you're all that matters to me."

 

She wrapped her hooves around him and pulled her head close to his. She stopped right as her nose touched his.

 

No. Again, this is a road of hurt and pain, and...

 

"I promise," she whispered. "To protect you from me, and the monster I am."

 

She wanted to kiss him, especially after saying that, but her head was screaming no. She just sat there, nose on nose, without doing anything. She froze. Her hooves became loose, almost to the point where they were slipping back to her sides.

 

She just looked into his eyes, paralyzed with the reoccuring fear.

"I'm sure its fine. Nopony can stay mad at you." He added before he trotted to the kitchen. The steak was medium rare when he took ot out. The smell hit him hard. That dragon part of him was trying to eat this steak.

"No. This is wrong. Plus I am of pony biology now. Not dragon. My body would reject this, throw it up." He fought against it, and dragged it out to the pier. After some hesitation, and drooling, he threw it in the water. Flying back to his balcony-which was still scorched-he came into the room, knocking on the door.

"Steak is cleared Star." Max could still smell it. It probably had such an effect on him that caused the scent to linger...or because he had the scent of it on him.

"Please don't eat me" He thought.

Star slowly opened the door and glanced out at Max. "Okay...so...what do you want to do now ? All day has been...figuring stuff out...maybe we should...go *Sniff* Swim*Sniff sniff*ing." She said, slowly walking closer to Max, sniffing the air around them. "M-Max *Sniff* Are you sure you got rid of the *Sniff* Steaks."

"I, uh... I... Yeah, I really don' know what to do either...", Accent admitted, as he went over to Beat's bed and sat down, resting his broken leg on the mattress. Hobbling back from the house and back up all the way was never good for a newly broken leg... Especially that it was broke in half.

Max looked uneasy. He didn't know how much control Star had, and he did smell of steak.

"The smell rubbed off on me when I disposed of it." He looked at her, and saw the look she was giving him. He had to have faith that she could control herself, like he did. Lets hope it was the connection that kept him at bay.

"Please tell me that look is arousal and not hunger." He said shakily.

Beat sighed and glanced down at her hooves. She walked over to the bed and sat down next to Accent before pushing him back against the bed. "I have no idea what I am doing but hopefully its the right thing." She whispered in his ear before giving him a seductive grin and kissing him, placing her forelegs around his neck, gently stroking the back of his neck.

"Leave it to my brain to immediately summon dirty thoughts to answer that question with" Max thought with a grunt. He looked up at Star, trying to come up with an answer to do.

"Get your head out of the gutter! And wipe that look off your face! She said to give it a rest! Although I always wonder what it would be like now that I am in pony form...No stop that thoughts. WIPE THAT LOOK OFF YOUR FACE DAMNIT!! He tried to steady himself and suggest something that wasn't...that.

"Maybe...we could...uh....uuuuhhhhhh....." His mind was drawing blank. His face was bright red, and he was shuffling his hooves awkward. His gaze met the floor looking at Stars feet.

"_{I'm sorry but I cant pull my mind out of the gutter. Maybe I should just go shower off this scent.}" He said in the quietest voice possible.

Star gently patted Max on the shoulder. "Why don't we go swimming...I kinda want to do something...that isn't dramatic." She said, sitting down on the bed with a small *Thump*
She fell onto her back and winced as there was a loud *RIIIIIP*

She blushed and sat up to find pieces of the sheet's stuck to the spikes moving down her back.

She nodded, as she hugged him back. She wasn't sure how long it would take for the awkwardness to wear off both of them, but she was currently, so undeniably happy she forgot about that all. As she was held in his hooves, she began to sing out a song.
