Star nodded. "That's fine." She said, grabbing a large water bottle and filling it up to the top before placing it into the basket as well. "I wonder if there are any leftovers...yup." She said, noticing a bowl of salad on the table. She pulled away the plastic wrap then placed some of the salad into two plastic containers she found in a nearby cupboard. She placed the salad in the basket and smiled. "Ready when you are." She said.

All Accent had used from the kitchen was a small cup of coffee. She sat down at the area near the front door, just sipping and looking around. Why did she keep seeing every pony being paired up? It was weird, but it looked as though they were all paired... What if her and Beat were paired without even realizing it? She shook her head and continued sipping her coffee.

Lorcan looked up to see a new guest. "Oh hi, you must be the other guest. I am Lorcan the owner of this island." Lorcan said with a bit of apathy in his voice. He then dug a hole in the sand big enough for his head. "Rooms are upstairs. Find one that isnt occupied and its yours. If you need anything else i will be here...in the sand...waiting."

Scamps looked around and saw Lorcan with some mare she didn't recgonize. Might as well say hello. Miht help me wake up.

 

Scamps trotted up to Lorcan and the mystery. "Hey Lorcan," she said. Usually she would say this cheerily, but she was too tired to put any emotion into words. "I'm Windy Scamper. Any variation of that name I'll go by, but Scamps is the most popular. Anyways, hi and welcome," she introduced herself to the new mare.

"But why would you do that? Honestly, get a hold of yourself."

Before he could put his head in the sand, she started kicking it full again.

"Oh! Hello, Scamps! My name is Solara. I just arrived, due to a storm delay, but we're in no trouble here."

"Excellent. Let us move!" Max said eagerly. He trotted over to the door, and took to the skies. Assuming Star was following, he flew up high enough to get a good view of the entire island. And then he got the urge to sing again. He debated it hard, but ultimately

He flew around aerobically, more so than he would normally, which is never.

"Sorry, I already have a room. Nice to meet you though,.Solara..." she called back in a bit perkier tone. She did feel a bit awake now, ay least.

 

After hearing Lorcan, she fully stepled into his room and sat down in the nearest chair. "Okay, tell me. What's up with you?" She asked.

Lorcan watched as the new guest filled the sand pit he dug. "Oh you probably don't know but this is how i meditate." He said as he dug the hole again. Hopefully they will buy that. He thought as he heard a familiar voice.

Solara closed her eyes and used magic to pull Lorcan out of the sand.

"Look here. There's no reason why you should be acting like this. No reason at all. Just get a grip of yourself."

Max finished, and brought himself next to Star, as they continued flying high above the island.

"The Union of Love Struck, Sing Songy Stallions would like to extend a formal apologize to any injury or hearing impairment caused by the following musical number." Max said, half joking, half covering up his embarrassment. The first time he sang in front of somepony, and it felt like the wait for SAT scores. He simply looked forward, not sure what to expect.

She smiled at him. It was a pretty smile; not too big, yet not a smile, sarcastic smile. It was one that was cheerful without being forced.

"Why don't you tell me know what's going on? It's not normal for a pony to stick their head in sand like that; most ponies would suffocate and die if they tried that for too long. And when you have such a beautiful island, I can't see the cause of the fuss."

Lorcan looked at the new guest. "Well you see i was being a prima donna...I aaaa couldn't get a note right on my piano so i was depressed by that." He said as he climbed the stairs.  There is no way she could possibly doubt that He thought to himself as he reached the top. "It looks like we have two rooms left, since some of the guests are sharing rooms. Which one do you want? The ocean view or Island view?"

Accent's ears had picked up what Beat was trying to say. Immediately, she looked a little pissed, but she calmed herself once he had corrected himself. Well, at least he was trying.

She grinned, despite not knowing what she would do on strike three. She did know, however, that she could make something up quickly.

"I don't care what you say: I'm not believing it. Besides, you would have told me the piece if it were the truth. I'll make that strike one and a half."

She grinned herself, not choosing a room until she got the truth from him or until she got to strike three, when she would... she still didn't know what.

Grr, she either has good deduction skills or she can read my mind. Im going with the first one. Just have to come up with a better tale. Lorcan thought as he started to get annoyed. "OK Ok,you got me. The real reason why i was sticking my head in the sand is because I had a dream where I was told to. If i did i would get a reward of some kind"  Lorcan said with smile on his face.

"If he says that he can't remember, then it's a lie. And if it's something ridiculous, like everything else, it's a lie."

Lorcan inhaled violently as his eyes widened, indicating he was getting frustrated. I might as well tell her.She won't let up and im not sure if i want to find out what happens at the third strike. Lorcan thought as he exhaled. "Ok this is going to sound stupid and probably make no sense whatsoever but, i was depressed because I was depressed."Lorcan said
