Joining the Bandwagon: Hansel's Synthpop and Futurpop Thread of Wonderment

Behold as I join the bandwagon of endless music threads about specific genres. I'm not sure how long this will last, but let's try anyway.

 

Anyone here into either of these genres? 

 

Ashbury Heights are one of my favorite modern Synthpop acts. They have a fairly unique sound compared to other modern Synthpop acts, and are more reminiscent of the 80's scene, but with their own twist.

 

 

As far as Futurpop goes, it's a little harder for me to pick my favorite. However, I have a lot of admiration for mind.in.a.box. They may not be the best Furutpop project to start the thread with as they have very unique sound compared to most Futurpop bands and artists, but I think they're amazing. They blend the genre with Progressive Trance, and have heavy usage of vocorder effects, whilst the majority of Futurpop artists largely rely on clean, clear and untempered vocals. They also use other instruments alongside the keys and programming (Guitar, bass, drums). Whilst I absolutely LOVE bands like Assmeblage 23, Solar Fake, and VNV Nation, these guys really live up to the term "Futurepop".
