When applying for a character, you gotta use the name of that character. Also, you gotta add something to her backstory, just like everyone did. This way, I can get a feel for how you will portray AJ.

Beat ya there I edited my post just to have her name as you posted this. I don't think a backstory says anything about how I would roleplay as Applejack, but I wrote one for you.

Well this is new. I'm a Christian and in all my 16 years of life I have never heard the term Christianism used before.

And I do kinda' like Gears of War. Surprising, since I normally don't go for very violent video games, but something about the worldbuilding of Gears I just really like. It's...original. Visually, and everything. LIke, one of my favorite parts is in...uh, 2, I think...where the alien-boat-thing comes up to shore, the barge thing, when you're underground...I sound so smart right now, don't I? Nevermind.

 

Oh yeah, and the important thing I was gonna' say. Could you guys stop quoting posts that have mentions in them? I know it's not the greatest feature that the forum sets of notifications when you do that, but it's making me get spammed with notifications when I'm not actually being mentioned.

I guess you could say I'm a Gears fan, despite only having played the 3rd one through to the end, and only playing snippets of the other two (so you actually sound smarter than me when you talk about the barge thingy, since I've got no idea what you're talking about ). One thing I liked about Gears is that it actually gets you attached to the characters, so it really punches you in the gut when they get killed off (my friend and I were literally in tears at one character's death). Another series that gets you attached to the characters and has a really well constructed world and lore is the Mass Effect series, but I'm rambling now.

 

About the whole quoting posts with mentions: I try to keep from doing that, and if I must, I just delete the mention, though I am sure sometimes I will forget to do so.

Gears, characters? Eh; they're not AWFUL, but I'm fairly confident I didn't like Gears for the characters. I'm stickin' with world and visual originality. Remember the razor hail?

 

And I hope you're not actually comparing Gears to Mass Effect. They aren't even in the same league as far as I'm concerned. I've written extended rambles about how fantastic Mass Effect, as one of the best video game stories of all time (not that it's insanely difficult to get on that list, you know, but still).

It did sound that way, didn't it? I didn't really mean to compare them in that sense, I just tried (and possibly failed) to segway into mentioned I loved the ME storyline and world, and the characters. And the music, holy crap the music, especially the last few songs during the time on the Citadel at the end of ME3, those alone were enough to make me by the soundtrack.

Music, huh? I don't honestly remember much of the music. Don't remember it being anything special. I mean, don't get me wrong, it wasn't slouchy or anything, full orchestral in 3 got the job done. Just, no memorable tracks, like Chrono or anything.

 

Biggest thing for me is characters, and, by okie, worldbuilding. You don't normally get characters like that in a video game. I mean, I was so upset when Than died..

Cutie Mark: Ah got those three shinin' apples on mah flank when I came home from Manehattan, after Ah realized ah belonged at Sweet Apple Acres.

 

Backstory(a little more about your character):

Mah parents weren't around much when ah was a filly, but ah was gettin' on just fine with Granny Smith an' Big Mac.

They liked to go to big cities, like Vanhoover. They were even away when ah got my cutie mark. Mah mom, Apple Leaf, had Apple Bloom when ah was about nine, and they died in a train accident soon after, so Apple Bloom never really knew our parents.

Of course, ah was upset, but since ah never saw them, it didn't hurt as much.

Ah had already gotten my cutie mark. And met Pinkie, Rarity, Rainbow, and Fluttershy.

I've been as much a part of raisin' Apple Bloom as Big Macintosh and Granny Smith have. Ah like ta think we've done a bang-up job, considerin'.

You are right. Humans falling in love with Ponies is ultimately a bad idea, as they all will need to head home eventually. But I allowed the option of falling in love, as I knew most of the RPers here would want to.

 

I also said that those players who choose whether or not that love be requited or not. I also see all of the Ponies being affected in some way regardless. Sorry, I'm not too good with words right now!

I saw both your apps, and I gotta say both of you have good apps! I also said the best one gets AJ's spot. After reading both, I gotta go with Silent Dawn's. Mellon Collie, you did an excellent job with revising your app, and it makes me feel bad turning yours down, but I think Silent Dawn did a better job of capturing AJ's personality.

 

That being said, I'll open the slot for Pinkie Pie! The same rule goes for Pinkie! The best app gets the spot!

 

Silent, will you need Red Talon and Chaotic Overlord to catch you up, or do you wanna start over??

OK, tomorrow marks my weekend camping thing, so I will most likely be kind of slow or offline most of these next few days, seeing as all I'll have is a phone.

Mhm. Personally, I tend to be a major jerk to my own characters (Some friends and I started an original RP((it was something completely of our creation, not a fan RP) that we've had running more than two years, and one of my friends and I put our characters through so much hell throughout. But I'm rambling. As I mentioned before, my mind tends to think of worse case scenarios first, and best case later, so the consequences of these feelings are running rampant through my mind. I personally look forward to seeing how it all plays out in the end.

 

And I now realize how sadistic this all makes me sound :I

I look into music of games and movies and just in general, because as an inspirational writer (as in I can't write anything worthwhile without being inspired) I listen to music while writing, since it helps inspire me, and the songs 'I'm Proud of You' and 'An End Once and For All' from ME3 always allow me to think up some sort of sad/feels scenario.

In my personal opinion, the Halo (also one of my favorite game franchises) soundtracks are fantastic writing inspirations.

Going off of what Dawn and Pripyat said, and adding the rule of Free Will,Fluttershy is allowed to fall in love with whomever she chooses, male or female.

 

Same rule applies to every other character in this RP, human or Equestrian.

Lol, sorry about that. We got a little sidetracked, but it won't be anything this long in the future. Cat and Jack are dating, but it won't do as in-depth as it did before.
