Favorite MLP BGM ?

What's your favorite background music from the show ? 

 

Mine would have to be Luna's theme from Scootaloo's dream. 

 

It is a really amazing piece of work from William Anderson.

I like the BGM in Sleepless in Ponyville where Scootaloo is confessing to Dash. It's a slight homage to a musical number from Into the Woods. On a phone right now, so I can't post the music, but if someone else would, that'd be aces.

Rarity's Fashion Show BGM. This really caught me off guard when I first saw this episode, as it really shows each character individually. More importantly though, it's pretty bad-ass. I mean, dat beginning...

Ooh, this is a good one. Definitely Fluttershy's theme. That little 10 note sequence that plays at the very start of Swarm of the Century.

 

Back when I was first getting into the show, I went to download everything off youtube before watching (didn't want to risk them getting taken down before I was through), and while going through episodes, just happened to let that one play for a few seconds before getting the download started, and heard that bit. At the time I thought it was like a little snippet from a longer song and was anticipating hearing the full thing, but of course that never happened But even so, just that little bit is so lovely, and rooted deeply in the brony department of my brain. There is actually another little part of it when she's talking about the bunny census in Applebuck Season, but still not really a full song.

The beginning is some of the most cinematic I've heard from the show... The last half is pretty fun, too...

 

 

This whole song is amazing. Especially near the end after Sombra is defeated. It's really fitting for the peaceful end of an epic story.

I'm very fond of this one. Always have been. It's what makes that scene emotional instead of cheesy.

Here's another one of my favorites it's from "A Canterlot Wedding". 

 

 

I thought this scene and the music was very powerful and emotional .

My favorite is a classic that I can't believe hasn't got a mention yet.

It's from the show stoppers episode in their montage to obtain their cutie mark.

It's just so catchy and fitting for the show.

I mostly too focused on the characters and plot to pay attention to the background music so I have no earthly idea. It's a cartoon, not a music video. Also virtually all the songs annoy me and I skip them whenever they come up.

I don't really have a favorite underscore piece, but I figured I'd jump in and share a little tidbit: Steffan Andrews, the guy who handles a large portion of the underscore, is one of many OverClocked ReMixers gone pro, and still contributes to OC ReMix to this day.

The beautiful background music is one of the reasons why I love MLP.

 

Some of my favorite BGMs are:

• The scene where Cadence and Shining Armor defeat Chrysalis
• The scene where King Sombra is defeated
• The scene where Scootaloo falls asleep on her scooter in Sleepless in Ponyville
• The scene where Princess Luna talks to Scootaloo in her dream in Sleepless in Ponyville
• The recurring variations of a certain musical theme during letters to Princess Celestia, or when the moral is conveyed through the dialogue 
• and more

This is also, hands down, my favorite BGM piece from the show to date.  It is just so emotional, and complements Madeleine Peters' amazing performance during the scene too.  And the part that follows too where Rainbow and Scoots are flying together is equally as amazing and heartwarming!  I've embedded the BGM below:

Without a doubt, Fluttershy's Training Montage from Hurricane Fluttershy. Really adds to the intensity of the scene and her purpose. Not to mention, I love me some gee-tars. What else can I say?

I already posted my #1, but I'm gonna post again anyway A couple of my other favorites have already been mentioned... Cadence and Shining's love spell is an incredible piece of work. Such emotion in such a short song, and really gives it that big movie vibe rather than just an episode of a little girls' show I also love the song right afterward, while they set up the wedding.
 
The CMC crusading music is another of my favorites (Show Stoppers is one of my favorite episodes, largely for that and the big song at the end).
 
And this one hasn't been mentioned yet, the music during Granny Smith's story. Reminds me of Land Before Time
