Am I any good at drawing?

So I recently started drawing ponies and I wanted some opinions on how my art was turning out. I only have one example saved on my computer that's below. Don't pay attention to the pencil marks by the front legs. It took me forever to get them right! So if you could give me any opinions they would be greatly appreciated.

I think it looks pretty good actually. Overall I don't really notice any significant errors or well to my eyes any.

 

So i'd say that since your drawings are better then mine are your pretty good, always room for improvement, i just don't know what exactly, as I'm not super skilled and thus less observant I guess.

Well your better then me, I mean my drawings I've done a while ago now, I have to get back into doing some drawings I think again, but regardless I was really terrible, like yeah . I don't consider you bad on the scale I was bad on.

 

Besides, regardless you can always practice to improve and become good .

(Take this with a grain of salt as I'm no master of the brush myself).

 

It looks really good to me. If you're aiming more for a show canon style, then I'd say the body is a bit long and the eye needs to be more oval. One thing that helps me immensly is to open up a google image search and see if I can find a pic of a pony in a similar pose to what I want to draw. Or barring that, get an episode paused at a spot that has something similar to what you want.

Yeah, that's neat! As eightbithoof said, look at some images of ponies. That helps a lot! Sketch a lot, just draw loose and don't care too much if something screws up and fill in the lines that are good. In that way, it'll be easier to get the right shape of the pony. Hmn, and if you want it to look even more awesome, you could try to do shadows. Darker at some places of the pony and so on (depends on where you imagine the light coming from). I don't know, maybe that's a bit complicated since this is your first one and all. Oh well, nothing you can't handle if you keep practising!

Well since I see you're a beginner it will of course not be fair to criticize everything in the drawing, but two of the most importand things that could be changed is firstly the length of the body. It should be a bit shorter, this is your drawing (but turned the right way)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Something around this length is how the ponies looks, see it as two circles under the head, I made this little thing here

 

 

 

The eye has a little bit weird shape, but otherwise it's okay Just look at the ponies and try remember how far different body parts are from eachother and things like that. Draw draw and draw and you'll get better each time

You're not bad, your drawing has potential. You've more or less nailed down the basics of pony anatomy, you just need to tweak some of the proportions a little. Pretty much what Jokuc has said, the body of the pony needs to be shorter, make use of guide circles and guide lines, like the one he has shown.

 

I've taken your drawing and outlined over it in more detail so you can get a better idea as to the rough proportions required. Always keep the skeleton in mind and use circles to help you judge where to stop the body.

What the guys above said: use some anatomy references and keep practicing.An art thread can be a good way to stay motivated. Here's my personal fav:
