OC Crystal Sparkle

Here's my OC Crystal Sparkle. This is my first digital pony drawing, what do you guys think?

I'd like a bit of constructive criticism, if you don't mind

I like that mane/tail style! Unique color pattern, and a nice braid. Color of coat and mane go together really well, and I notice you matched her eye color with her hair band.

 

Only thing I don't like is that cutie mark. It's pretty vague, and could maybe stand to lose the little dots surrounding it.

 

What does the cutie mark mean, by the way?

It's kind of a mix of beginner's magic and patterns. Like, simple levitation (stuff like that) and pattern making, like quilts and knitting. She's also pretty good with problem solving that relates to figuring out some sort of pattern.

Hmm... Okay I see that now. So is the blue part around it supposed to be stitching? I just noticed I could zoom in on the picture, and it makes the cutie mark look a lot better. If you want a suggestion I would say maybe surround the middle a thread and needle... it's hard to explain so I drew a picture (exhibit A of why I don't do pony art). Yeah it looks terrible, but hopefully you get the idea of what I was going for.

Wow I actually have to say that it looks pretty darn good, probaly among my favorite OC's I think I've come across randomly, the color scheme is really good looking I think, also I love the way the mane is done to, the different strands of colors in them, really cool . And the ponytail is adorable aswell .

 

The cutie marks pretty awesome looking btw, very well done and cool design for it.

 

So good job, I think you've got yourself one great OC .
