It's kind of unfair to not being able to include sub-genres, I think electronic sub-genres such as House that have spawned several sub-genres should count.

Rock: Soundgarden

Metal: Converge or Adept. I like them both equally

Dubstep: Mala

Hardcore Techno: Wasted Penguinz and USAO. Once again, I like them both equally

DnB: Logistics

Electronic music besides the three mentioned: Phaeleh (Future Garage)

Sorry, but if we were to get into sub- genres, then we'd be here all day. I really don't want every post on this thread to be a TL;DR because I want to read them.

How about limiting the amount and only allow bigger sub-genres such as House, Electro, Techno etc? These kind of genres have in turn spawned their own sub-genres, and due to the fact that there are so many sub genres in Electronic music, it makes incredibly difficult too choose only one.

I suppose, although I did. That's also because I listen to 4 types of Electronic, so wasn't hard. We could do like a genre and one sub-genre or something, right?

Electronic Music is a very broad term.  It's exactly the same as saying that Rock, Country, etc. is a subgenre of Analog Music.  Or classical, orchestral, etc being a subgenre of Acoustic Music.

Also, if you want to be picky, Rock and Metal are extremely similar, and should not count as two different genres in the sense that you are counting them.

Now that my little minirant is over, my list:

Rock/Metal: Metallica

Country: Brad Paisley (Even though I don't listen to country anymore)

Rap: N/A

Electro House: Knife Party

DnB: Netsky
