Here's a verse from an ongoing song project of mine, entitled Wish Song:

 

 

I wish I were a little snail, crawling on the ocean floor;

I wish I had a pretty shell with stripes and polka dots, galore!

I would leave a trail of slime

from your house to mine

in hope that you would  follow me, 

and I would let you come inside,

if I were a little snail.

 

 

It's obviously intended to appeal to a young  audience, but please let me know what you think.  :3

It has a nice pace. It is clearly for a younger audience, as the lyrics are pretty calm and simplistic (not that I mean it has a simple writing, but rather a simple and clear approach).

Everyone does. Ask someone else their opinion about your own voice. It's always much more reliable than your own opinion, whether you overrate or underrate your voice.
