It just seems like it hasn't been getting much attention. I don't know why - it looks gorgeous!

It won't be coming out for a while here in Australia, but I'll be giving it a watch when it does.

The only thing turning me off that movie is the title.

Obviously this thread WILL contain spoilers, so if you are planning on seeing the movie I highly suggest you read no further!

 

I actually saw it in Ireland last week (I was so excited I went to the preview showing and the theater was only me and a few families with kids, haha), but I decided to wait until it was released in the US before starting this thread so more people would have had a chance to see it. It's been a LONG wait. 

 

Anyway, it seems like fellow fans of this movie are hard to find, so I started this discussion as a way to attempt to bring more of us together. What did you like/love/dislike about the movie?

 

 

Personally, I loved the gorgeous animation. And I am strangely compelled to start a hummingbird garden in my backyard now.

 

The story itself was all right, though I admit it wasn't as "EPIC" as I was expecting...haha...but there were a few parts that seemed pretty tragic for a kid's movie. I mean, were YOU expecting Queen Tara to die within the first twenty minutes of the movie? Cause I sure wasn't. And the fact that Nod's dad is dead. And MK even mentions "the Five Stages of Grief". And divorce and everything. Pretty heavy stuff. 

 

Also, it didn't end the way I wanted it to. If you're going to have two characters flirt with each other for the entire movie at least let them stay together in the end I mean seriously

 

 

All in all, though, it was a cute and surprisingly emotional movie. I plan on acquiring it when it's released on DVD/Bluray.

 

But enough about me. What did you guys think of it?

I'm planning to see it! I think it will be really good. The graphics look really good. Many celebrities are voices for some of the characters (even though that does not really matter because I feel like pitbull is always a voice for someone.)

 

 

Josh Hutcherson is the voice for someone and he is beautiful.

At first, I thought I wouldn't like it. But as I've seen the trailer for it more and more, I think I might like it. I don't know if I'll see it in the theater though.

One does not simply start a topic regarding a movie without posting a trailer.

The trailer really intrigued me mostly because of how well Snow Patrols "Lightning Storm" fit the video. I probably won't go see it in cinemas though.
