Has anyone ever seen the movie Cloud Atlas? I just watched it recently, and it was amazing. It was epic, visually stunning, musically fantastic, and most importantly, it had more than one positive message, which is a happy surprise in terms of the Hollywood movies I'm used to. 

 

The movie is almost three hours long, and tells stories from six different time periods: 1800s, 1917, 1970s, 2012, 2100s, and 2300s. I don't remember the exact years that are portrayed in the movie. It can be a challenging movie to comprehend, but it starts to come together more at the end. And, watching the credits also helps you to understand what's going on better. 

 

It's rated R for violence, language, sexuality/nudity, and some drug use, so if any of that would offend you, I don't recommend watching it. But, otherwise, I definitely recommend this movie, it's incredible.

My dad and I rented it from Hastings on Thursday, May 23rd, 2013. It was in the New Releases section there. I don't remember seeing it the last time I went to Hastings, which I think was around two weeks ago. I either just didn't see it then, or it just came out to DVD recently.
