Rambler laughed. "Oh, I certainly won't be forgetting that anytime soon. And even if I did, I've got you right here to remind me." He nuzzled her back and followed her as she pulled him to the theater. As they walked he stayed right next to her side and intertwined his tail with hers.

The mare gives him another smile after the partial hug, nodding, "No problem."

 

"Well, alright. Warning you though, I can talk for a long time."

 

She leans back into the sofa, looking up at the ceiling, "So, my family? Oh, where to start?"

She gives a small giggle before looking back over at Royal, "Well, as I mentioned on the first day, my dad is the Manehatten police chief, so he wasn't home much, and he was a little bit strict, and doesn't talk much, but he's kind, if sorta protective.

 

"Mom's a journalist, so she was often out collecting stories when I was younger.. She's pretty chatty, and a sense of humor that in itself is pretty funny.

 

"Then there are my brothers. There's Novus, who's still only a foal, so he's a bit troublesome still, but he's cute, so it evens out. Amicus, my oldest brother, is easily the best friend I've had so far," she smiles,

"Since mom and dad didn't have much time when I was little, he'd always watch me. It was always really fun, and he never complained, no matter how troublesome I was for him. As I got older and gained more... attention, he started protecting me, teaching me the spells and such he'd learned from our uncle, who was in the Guard. Eventually though, he moved out after college, and lived in Ponyville.

I was actually living there with him for a few months before coming here. His marefriend, Cantáte, while technically part of the family, is really cool to."

 

Denim gives a small chuckles, "See? Told you I could take for a long time." She gets up and starts towards the kitchen, "Do you want anything to drink, Royal?"

Saronyx groans, "Oooh great. This isn't going to be pretty... I might need to have a 'talk' with Chase later.. No, can't do that. If I do, she'll assume Windy asked me to, or did it himself, and that'll only make matters worse. Remember, this is why you don't get involved with real life drama 00. It only pisses you off that you can't help the way you know how to."

 

He watches Minty leave, and listens to Windy's small, rationalizing, rant, "Can'f really offer much advice on her. I've only had one relationship in the past, and that ended when she had to move back home. All I can really say is to give her time. Eventually she may see Chase for what he is."

 

Saronyx nods in slight satisfaction when Todd collapsed, "I know my concience will probably eat me alive for that tonight, but oh well."

Gardenia was hearing words being spoken to her, and she could recognize the voice being from Blaze. She did not, however, fully comprehend what he was saying, "Resolve this situation? How can this possibly be fixed? The damage has already been done. Windy was hurt, Minty's hurting, and Todd is being hurt," she managed to say softly through the sobbing.

 

"All because I had to open my mouth again, just like that last time. Why can't I just keep my mouth closed?"

Turning to Saronyx, Windy smiled and muttered, "I think our work here is done. Now we just need to wait for Todd to totally self-destruct. Which could be quite funny! And my conscience will be sleeping like a baby tonight. Now, I need to be getting back to my dorm. And if you could keep an eye out for the next couple of days, Todd might send some of his frat boys after us. He doesn't know we had a hoof in this, but he doesn't need an excuse to have us beaten up. I just HAVE to go talk to Minty. Later man." He said, spreading his wings and flying off towards his dorm. 

 

Touching down and walking contentedly into his dorm hall, Windy trotted to the entrance to his dorm and, unlocking the door, was shocked to hear sobs coming from inside... from Minty! Walking hesitantly inside, he cleared his throat. "Uh, Minty? Why are you crying? What's wrong?"

 

 

 

Sitting inside the locker room, Todd breathed in and out, trying to calm himself. It was over; it was all over. His reputation was gone, his father would never look at him again. Hay, he'd be luck to keep the Presidency of the Deltas after this! Knowing he had been benched for the game and his presence wasn't necessary, he trotted aimlessly out of the locker room. Looking up as he exited, he saw a bronze pegasus flying away from the stadium, laughing heartily. His heart, which had melted a bit from his sadness, froze over again. "Runner... I'll have his hide yet! He can't hide from me forever... And once Chase has stolen that stupid slut from him, he'll be crushed. And when he's crushed... he won't fight back!" Todd muttered, re-entering his room at the empty frat house and chucking his helmet in the corner of the room, where it knocked over a stack of books, revealing a tire iron sitting behind it, one Todd used to change the wheels on his training cart. ((Kind of like how humans run with parachutes behind them, I image ponies as running with a weighted cart behind them)) Picking up the tire iron, he grinned maliciously. "Soon Runner, soon....."

Royal nodded through her story, remembering his own assortment of step-siblings, but most prominently his biological older brother.

"You've talked about amicus before. He sounds like a nice brother." And reminds me of my own.

"I don't suppose we have any pop, do we?" He said, turning to face her, his front hooves hanging of the arm of the couch.

He nods when Windy mentions having to speak to Minty, "Good luck."

 

The navy Pegasus looks down at the field one more time before taking into the air.

"Oh yeah, Amicus is pretty cool." Denim says, with a small hint of pride.

 

She opens the door to the refridgerator and peers in, "We do. What's your preference?" She looks back out at him, one eyebrow raised questioningly.

Chase is a jerk, a total turkey, through and through! He's a member of Todd's frat, and he might actually be the secretary, so he's high up the social totem pole that Todd puts so much value into! Chase is using you! Todd probably put him up to it to get at us. Chase is nothing but a no good, lying, scheming pawn of that bastard Todd!" Windy said, not even noticing that his voice was going up significantly in volume as he spoke.

"Aaaw, that's sad." Denim says.

She looks over the types of soda stocked, and not noticing the one she preferred, focuses her magic. A couple seconds later, she conjured what she was after, "I hope you don't mind cream soda then."

She said as she levitated the two bottles out as she shut the door, opening one to make sure that it was what she was really after. She trots back over to the couch and sits down, floating Royal the unopened one, "What was your relationship with this sibling like?" She says, her inquisitive nature kicking in.

Gardenia turned her head away, and put her muzzle back into her hooves.

"Not at all." He said, popping the cap off, putting it in the nearby trash.

"Well, i had an older brother, Jacob." He took a drink of the soda. "But i called him Cap, because he always talked about being a captain of a ship, but he couldn't say 'Captain', just cap." He chuckled. "We used to 'commender' carts and ride them down the streets, pretending to be pirates."

He sighed. "But he liked our numerous mothers less then i did, and once he had his cutie mark, he left." He took another drink, to pause for a second. "He tried to have me come with him. I don't know what made me say no, but...i did." He sighed.

"I haven't seen him since."

Neon smiled and walked with Rambler to the theater. She kissed his cheek when he intertwined his tail with hers. They got there and Neon walked up to the ticket pony "2 tickets to anything scary, doesn't really matter what considering we won't be watching the movie to much" She winked at Rambler

Rambler smiled and payed for the tickets, givivng one of them to Neon as they walked into the lobby of the theater. "You can go ahead and get whatever snacks and stuff that you want. I probably won't eat much, but I don't mind paying for it." As he walked with her, he reflected again on just how lucky he was to have ended up with somepony like her. And to think that they only met by the random luck of having been roomed together.

So, what's this you have to say about my father, who, as it were, already left the game and has probably already left campus. I am still vaguely curious to hear what you have to say though."

I guess you're just doing this to try and help me out the goodness of your heart. I guess I can respect that, so thank you. Father is staying in the Hilton downtown. And oddly I am also the only pony out of them who wants to help you. Thank you in advance." He replied as he made a run for outside. "Cap?" Denim says, smiling, "I like that. It's better than my nickname for Amicus."

 

She continues to smile as he talks about what they would do together, and nods slowly as he finishes, "Sounds like you two had a lot of fun together." 

She takes another sip of her soda, setting it down and taking her mane in her magic, and continues speaking as she undoes the braid, "That's really sad, his leaving. How long has it been since then?"

 

Whether it was really her right to ask so many questions, Denim wasn't quite sure, but her curiosity and want to know more about this stallion were getting the best of her.
