Let's learn to draw ponies! Sketch this picture! (Current: Pinkie Pie)

Phew! This image was definitely the most difficult for me. Maybe I just wasn't focused enough... I didn't catch on to my mistakes (see limb positioning and mouth/jaw) until after I went over them dark. At first I tried to fix it, but you can still see the lines and it was just getting really messy.

 

That being said, this one was most fun to draw! I think I'll try it again. And maybe try to incorporate the wings, but no promises.

LOL you flatterer, you. Thanks for the praise. But anybody can sketch better than me! All it takes to improve is practice (along with some research maybe), and that practice/improvement is what we're all here for! Anybody can practice

Great, I'm behind schedule again. I was away the entire last week so here's my Pinkie Pie:

 

 

 

For some reason the camera added a weird pink glow, but I guess that's appropriate.

 

 

 

Feels a bit like a rush job, but I want to keep up with the thread. Will work on Rarity tomorrow.

I'm early on uploading this drawing, compared to my other submissions. I've finished the flying marshmallow, er, Rarity drawing, and with wings! I like how this turned out, and I must say, I've improved quite a bit since my first drawings. Regardless, I'm still having some errors with the eyes.

Yay! I made the deadline!

 

But I'm not to sure about this one, a few mistakes... Her left eye looks derpy, no matter what I do. Her extended front leg is a bit odd.

 

 

First time I'm drawing Rarity, quite difficult. I skipped the wings though because laziness.

The rest of her I think looks okay...ish. I knew I should've just stopped when I got to the wings, but that's my perseverance for you. Always bucking things up.

 

P.S.: Note my shading, and its very ass-like nature. That's because my shading...is ass.

Wow.  I made it just in time to post Rarity into a mere sketch.

 

But as you can see, I made the head just a bit too big.  Also, due to the size of my paper, I was forced to compromise on the tail a bit.  But other than that, it was interesting to put Rarity into a sense of bipedal mode.

Whaddya know, The next image is up! And what's this? It features the two ponies with the most difficult manes? I must be evil to post such a thing! But really it's those two because they're cuties and the continuous curves in their manes/tails are good practice.

 

If you look, pinkie has a different head angle than we've practiced! My favorite guide for head shapes is this one and it will probably help you out with where to put stuff.

 

....And yeah I didn't draw this one ahead of time... Again. I think a habit has been formed. I'll draw this tomorrow or maybe tonight.

I'm going to draw the current picture and post it hopefully later today. But I really just wanted to share this with everyone, I'm planning on making a collage of pictures for each of the Mane 6. So far I have Fluttershy done, I'm working on Pinkie Pie. I just look up pictures of the mane 6 on Google Images and get drawing. Tell me what you think don't hold back. I need to know if I need to improve on anything! 

Sorry about that drawing of Flutters with yellow on it, I tried to color her but I noticed the yellow was a little too strong and decided against it.

Actually, I found that the body was harder than the wings... Messed up left eye and tail. 

Colored it beacuse it felt empty without colors. Now, because Chrome is not working properly, the picture is in a thumbnail.

Hooray! The best drawing I've made, of the marshmallow Rarity and Pinkie Pie! I made this accidentally too small of drawing, so I made it appear that they're fillies. Happy Accidents. Should add an extra 'D'awwww' effect.
