Swordpoint opened his eyes to find himself surrounded by trees. What the... where has Umbra taken us? And where are the others? He noticed several huts constructed of straw, bamboo, and other crude materials. He tried to move his hooves but found that they were bound to something. Cursing under his breath, he turned his head to find that he was tied to Sole, who was unconscious. He attempted to use his magic to teleport, but found that he could not. And my magic is being suppressed... Well this is certainly wonderful. He sensed a powerful magical force directly nearby, and glanced down at his ankle to find a shackle. A chain connected it to an identical shackle around Sole's ankle.

 

"Sole," Swordpoint said quietly. "Sole, please awaken. We are in a bit of a situation." When Sole failed to respond, Swordpoint sighed and elbowed him. My apologies, but we must work together to escape this.

Rainbow awoke with a start. Her eyes darted around, and the first thing she noticed was the cage around her. "What the hay?! The last thing I remember was standing on the deck with Swordpoint! How did I end up here?!" She glanced down to see a pit of lava beneath her. She swallowed hard. "Oh, great. This is just wonderful." She looked around and noticed Stone in a cage right beside hers. "Hey!" she shouted. "Hey, Stone! Wake up! We gotta find some way to get outta here!" She sighed before she remembered the spell Swordpoint had taught her. "Yeah... I just have to focus some energy..." She spread her wings and tried to gather energy, but she found that she couldn't. Desperate, she tried to cast it without gathering any energy, but that failed her, as well. Fantastic. I'm the typical mare in distress. How do I end up in these dang situations?

sole groaned in annoyance, and cracked his eyes open to glare at swordpoint "what?" He asked slowly, before noticing their surroundings, and noticing the manacle bounding them to each other. As he soon realized that his magic was blocked, he began to get annoyed. After a moment of wondering if stone and the others are okay, he tried tugging on the chain... hard.

We must first find a way out of this binding. Can you reach the dagger behind my wing? If you can grasp it, you should be able to cut this rope."

sole winced as he realized what had happened when he tugged "ouch... sorry dude, didn't know it was rigged to shock ya. Guess this means we need to be more careful.." he said with a shrug, before using his free talon to reach behind swordpoint and grab the dagger. He quickly began to saw at the ropes. *damn... I'm getting weaker and weaker by the second... I need to get this thing off, or the lack of chaos energy might kill me...* he thought.

Stone groaned....she opened her eyes and slowly got up. But then fell. Her cage was made of some type if hard material that was not natural. Which was disappointing for her. Her leg was still dislocated. She then looked below. "Lava?......at least it ain't water...." She thought. She then noticed the rainbow mare a distance away. "Um...rainbow dash?" She called "what in good lord are we doing here?" She asked with question.

Cosmo groaned and felt a dull throb in the back of his head. "What the buck just... Lyth!" Cosmo looked around but all he could see was some island they hadn't been to before. As he turned his head, Cosmo felt the collar on his neck and saw Crimson lying on the ground with an identicle collar on. Cosmo reached for his magic to remove the things, but it felt... wrong. As if the magic wouldn't do what he wanted. Finally, Cosmo realized, Altair was missing. A distant voice was calling him, and Cosmo followed it, checking to see if anything would harm Crimson while he was gone. Cosmo came upon his sword lying in the sand, and he ran over to collect it. "Altair what happened? I was sitting with Lyth and I blacked out, just to find myself here." Altair replied, "Umbra apparently got tired of waiting for us and grabbed the ship. He smashed through the shields with enough force to render you unconscious. Had Lyth not transferred control to you... Well she wasn't exactly at peak performance... and I don't know where she went. I saw shadowy hands grab her and everyone else. She was pulled into the clouds near Crimson though, so she might be with him!" Cosmo shook his head and took his guardian over to Crimson. Altair was silent and Cosmo tried to wake his friend up, hoping he might have a clue where they were...

"Well don't bucking look at me!" Cosmo said, tapping his colar, "If we were on the ship I'd think this was a joke from Lyth." Cosmo explained how he'd woken up on the island and Altair explained how Lyth's amulet gave him enough control to follow Cosmo to his landing. "Crimson, please tell me you have an idea where we are..."

(Also, can Cosmo use Telekinesis on his sword? Altair could be using the amulet to stabilize any magic targeting him but it would be random for Cosmo to cast telekinesis on anything else.)

But as he heard the sound of approaching enemies, he turned to them and grinned "well... this sounds fun!" The monster hit the ground unconciess, Crimson resisted the urge to laugh as he assesed the situation, "ok, so my magic is acting weird and we seemed to be getting surrounded by a tribe of furry freaks...fun" thought crimson as he watched a tribe of angry monsters surround cosmo and himself.

Cosmo planted Altair in the ground then cast what was meant to be BloodWind at several of the bug monkeys in front of them, but watched as the spell took a different form.

Crimson scoffed and unsheathed helios, "if I can't use my abilities, then I'll just use my skills to kick some ass! Bring it you furry freaks!" Yelled crimson before rushing into a group of them and slashing expertly at their tendons causing them all to drop to the ground in a helpless heap.

You *laughes* you summoned a freaking leprechaun into a life or death situation?! Hahahahahaha!!" Crimson continued to laugh even as he dodged and slashed the many attacking monsters.

Lyth found herself lying in the middle of a large circle that funneled into a single corridor. She couldn't see all the way in, but it appeared to be a maze not unlike the maze at Canterlot gardens. She found her landing had caused a rare discharge of magic, which had formed into runes. "The... Maze of Madness. Lovely. I had hoped we wouldn't have to sail through these islands. They were circled on Luna's map to me with a big red circle and an X, as well as a stern warning. But nevermind that, let's see if anypony else landed with me." A pace away, she found her sword lying in the dirt. She picked it up and re-sheathed it. She found most of her provisions similarly, and placed them in their appropriate pouches. After that, she found another pony laying in her circle. She recognized him from around the ship, though they'd never officially met. She nudged him gently, "Excuse me, sir? Please wake up." She checked his pulse; alive for now. Hope he stays that way.

Cosmo was laughing too, "You know what the worst part is? The selfish little drunk didn't even give me the pot of gold!" Cosmo saw one of the apes pouncing from behind and he instinctively knocked him to the side with Telekinesis. The thing was still knocked to the side but it was knocked away as it lined up with some kid saying, "I like trains," and a train drove by out of nowhere and has disappeared when Cosmo looked over to see where it was going. "Cosmo stop spell casting! You're killing me over here and I'm not even sure I'm alive!" shouted Altair in the back of Cosmo's mind, howling with laughter.

Lyth found herself lying in the middle of a large circle that funneled into a single corridor. She couldn't see all the way in, but it appeared to be a maze not unlike the maze at Canterlot gardens. She found her landing had caused a rare discharge of magic, which had formed into runes. "The... Maze of Madness. Lovely. I had hoped we wouldn't have to sail through these islands. They were circled on Luna's map to me with a big red circle and an X, as well as a stern warning. But nevermind that, let's see if anypony else landed with me." A pace away, she found her sword lying in the dirt. She picked it up and re-sheathed it. She found most of her provisions similarly, and placed them in their appropriate pouches. After that, she found another pony laying in her circle. She recognized him from around the ship, though they'd never officially met. She nudged him gently, "Excuse me, sir? Please wake up." She checked his pulse; alive for now. Hope he stays that way.

Max slowly but surely regained consciousness. He rubbed his head as it was aching. As his vision recovered, he could feel somepony nudging him. He turned his head and recognized the face of a mare from the ship. He didn't know what to say. He didn't even know her name. "Ugh, where am I?" he asked drowsily. He had so many questions running through his head at the moment.

"We're at the entrance of what appears to be a maze. We've been separated from our vessel, and our friends. I'm Lyth, priestess of the Lunar Religion. You are?" She extends a hoof to help him up and stares at him inquisitively. Let us hope he can fight. It would be hard to get through obstacles involving force if he can't.
