Sparkey was late. Again. Like every other time something important happened. He hoped he wasn't overly late, but he was still late. He approached the entrance hall, with his invitation at hand. He wondered how snow reacted to lightning, and decided he would probably find out soon enough. And it would probably cause trouble. He forced it out of his mind, reminding himself that this was a vacation, and checked in, handing over his suitcase. Sparkey took a glance at his ticket, which consisted of a lot of activities. He took his key and trotted off to find his room.

Rush sat down across from her and shrugged. "I never had a chance. You just left all of a sudden. I tried shouting after you, but the lobby was busy, so I'm not surprised you couldn't hear me. It's Rush. Gal Rush. So... anyway, I believe when we left off I was asking if you work out much? Your body seems to suggest you do. 

 

"Oh, finally, I get to know your name. It's great to meet you, Rush. And yes, I do work out for quite a while. I never really noticed that it would show at all.", Freezing replied, definitely forgetting about the possible hook up of her brother and her new friend.

"I could teach you to ski, if ya want." Snowdream asked casually.

He's kinda cute. Snowdream thought absently. her gaze drifted over to Freezingpoint who had been staring at them. Snowdream felt a bit guilty.

Hold up, why should I feel guilty? What does it matter what she thinks?  Snowdream thought.

 

"I would like that. Thanks, Snowdream.", Scorching replied, but not before seeing that Snowdream was looking back over at her sister. He looked over as well, seeing that she was talking to that same stallion again... OK, just calm down, Scorch... Remember what Snowdream told you. She's old enough to not be watched over constantly... But... There's still something that I don't trust about him...

Aura ate some of her cinnamon roll while listening to Midnight.

'Must be nice, knowing your entire past.' she thought idly. Her amnesia usually didnt bother her, but at times like this it would be nice to remember.

She wiped her mouth and put down her roll before answering.

"Ummm... Well, Calgarein. I live in an apartment near the market. Pretty boring." She gave an awkward laugh and shuffled in her seat.

"So... What's your special talent? If you don't mind me asking."

Rush grinned, sweeping his eyes over her body. "Oh, it shows. Believe me, your work pays off. I work out a lot too. It really helps with relieving stress. Hey, while we're here, how about I buy you dinner, huh? If you're anything like me, working out a lot leaves you with a big appetite."

Midnight drank the rest of the coffee while listening to Aura.

"My special talent is conjuration, I can create just about anything but it'll stay there for a limited amount of time." He said.

Midnight ordered another cup of coffee before starting again.

"The longest time something stayed somewhere was about a month, but it drained a lot of energy. How about yours?"

((I'm pretty sure you said something about ignoring your first post here, but I'm just going to roll with it anyway and assume Rambler got there before you did.)) 

 

When Minath checked into the hotel, Rambler was already waiting for her in the lobby. When he'd heard she was finally getting the vacation she so obviously deserved, he hurried up ahead of her to make sure the place was up to snuff, and to scout out some more romantic places for them to spend time together while they were here. Now that she had arrived, he was looking forward to spending plenty of quality time with her. He walked over and hugged her. "It's about time you got here. And have I mentioned yet how glad I am that you're finally taking a vacation?"

Aura Feather finished off her hot chocolate and ordered another one at the same time Midnight did.

"That's so cool!" She said, intrigued by his talent. "Much cooler than mine, it's just flying and stamina while flying. I don't really race though, I just can stay in the air for hours on end." She ruffled her golden feathers as she shifted to show him her cutie mark. 

"I don't know why the feather looks like it's almost surrounded by a magic aura, it's just always been that way, I guess. Maybe my cutie mark wants to match up with my name." She let out a small laugh at her own half-joke.

Cascade pulled her nose away from the window, and trotted away into the resort's gift shop, leaving her nose print on the window. 

 

A few minutes later, she trotted back out looking rather out of place in a warm winter jacket, although the earmuffs were kinda cute.

Cascade had started trotting back towards the stairs to dump her new extra, warmer apparel in her room when, as seemed to happen unfortunately often to her, she bumped right into somepony who was still laden with luggage. She muttered a hasty apology to the colt, handing him back his briefcase. She didn't really look at him, although they were going the same direction.

"It's gotta be nice being able to fly." Midnight took a sip of his coffee while listening to Aura."It looks gorgeous."

Midnight was silent for a couple of seconds.

"Is there anything else you want to know about me? If not we can finish up here and start learning to ski or snowboard together."

Shady slowly finished off her muffin after a few more bites, lifting her cup of cocoa for another sip to hide a smirk that crept onto her muzzle while listening in on the conversation further. 'Ponies these days obsess about talents too much...It's almost silly.' She thought to herself, setting her mug down onto the table. The thought caused a small image to pop into her head; how she thought her own talent was mostly useless. Not that she would tell anypony that.

Star inched away from Dusk as he moved closer...but it was barely noticeable, blushing slightly from his compliment.

She finished her sandwich and sipped her tea, not really saying anything. She looked at the many ponies in the room around them and did her best not to make eye contact with Dusk...knowing that if she did she or he would have to say something...which meant she would have to speak either way. She sipped her tea again, still blushing from Dusk's compliments...she wasn't sure if she found them annoying or sweet...either way she was embarrassed.

 

 

A few minutes later she finished her tea. She stared at her empty mug and gulped before looking up at Dusk. "I um..." She blushed slightly and pointed at her empty mug.

"Ready to go, sweetheart? Great!" He began gathering his skiing things together. He was bundled up pretty well, but he never wore a hat because it would mess up his mane. He got out and gestured for her to follow him. "Well, let's head out to the slopes and have some fun, Star!" he exclaimed, starting to walk in the direction of the exit.

"Alright the lobby it is. I need to get my stuff too, as well as finishing my coffee."

Midnight took a small sip of his coffee before drinking it all up. "I really like Aura, and she's cute too" He thought to himself while drinking. He hasn't really been talking to a lot of other ponies since he started living on his own. Midnight felt like it was a good choice to go on a vacation and open up some more.

"Ready to go, sweetheart? Great!" He began gathering his skiing things together. He was bundled up pretty well, but he never wore a hat because it would mess up his mane. He got out and gestured for her to follow him. "Well, let's head out to the slopes and have some fun, Star!" he exclaimed, starting to walk in the direction of the exit.

 

Star stood up and nodded until she realized she hadn't rented any equipment yet. "Um...D-Dusk...I don't have any...skiing stuff." She said, blushing slightly.

She didn't know that there was a place to rent equipment by the ski lifts...it was on the map which Star had left in her room.

She wasn't exactly sure if this would actually go quickly or not, considering that they have just met... But, she was one for not being scared. What was the worst that would happen?

 

"Well... All right. I guess you could."

Star nodded and followed just behind Dusk, starting to feel a little nervous about what she was going to do.

She looked up at Dusk and opened her mouth as if to say something but closed it a moment later and looked back down at her hooves. *It's just sliding down a hill...like sledding...only faster...and more dangerous.* She gulped and looked up the mountain as they stepped outside...they weren't lying when they said it was the biggest skiing mountain.

Rush chuckled. "Don't worry, it's just dinner, no strings attached. An excuse to continue a pleasant conversation, nothing more. Of course if you wanted it to be something more, well... I've never been one to say no to a pretty lady. But that's just hypothetically. All I'm asking is a pleasant dinner. I'll pay for it, of course."

"Sorry! I was running late. And yes, you have. I'm personally not happy about it. What if something big happens when I'm gone? And all that's there to handle it is my second-in-command?" Minath said, and started massaging her temples. This vacation already was causing more stress than it was relieving, and she'd only been here less than five minutes.

He helped her purchase her skiing gear before leading her to the ski lift. The main mountain looked huge, but he was taking her to the little bunny slope, working her into the sport easily. He sat down in the bench thing of the lift and patted the seat next to him, looking at Star.

Rambler just smiled. "Don't worry. Everything is going to be just fine. It's not like Celestia isn't capable of protecting herself anyway. Just relax, and we're going to have a nice week, just the two of us, doing whatever we want. That doesn't really sound so bad, does it?"

"I guess..." She said, her eyebrows still furrowed. She relaxed them before speaking next.

 

"So lead me to our room. I assume we're sharing one?" She said, and leaned up to peck Rambler on the lips. She used her wings to give herself a little boost. Rambler was just so tall compared to her.

Rambler nodded and flashed his usual grin. "But of course. You're not disappointed, are you?" He grabbed her luggage and led her up to their room, number 207 ((conveniently next door to my other OC, and only the third room number to have been posted, unless I missed something)). When they arrived, he carefully set her things down next to his own and took a seat on the bed. "Hmm.... now if only I could think of something we could do to take your mind off of work." And there was that mischievous grin again.

"I think that's a great idea" Minath said, and started a trial of kisses starting at the base of Rambler's neck and leading up to his lips.

 

"Maybe I could take your mind of things as well?" She whispered into Rambler's ear, and then nipped the edge of it.

Put politely, Rambler was rather... invigorated, by her voice in his ear, and even more so when she nipped it. "Oh, you already have."  He kissed her his hooves caressing her whole body. "We could do this for the whole vacation if you want. We could order room service and never have to get out of this bed again until we leave. Are you still not happy about being on vacation?"
