my first drawling of my oc any comments on what to fix?

this is my first hand drawling and coloring of my oc and the digital design of her but i would like your thoughts on my first drawling and some tips on how to make it better because id love to get good enough to draw ocs for others because i kinda enjoy drawling

Your drawing is so alike to my first pony. But anyway. Over time i managed to fix these problems. But my drawings of ponies still look alike to yours. Exempt with some things fixed. 

Wow im repeating myself. But i dont feel like changing what i wrote last time  

Alright so lets start with the neck. The neck is too long. Shorten that. The back leg. I think you see the problem. Overall the legs should go a little forward. Notice the curves on the legs of the original pony picture. The muzzle needs some working on.

But i love the way you made the tail and mane You also did something i still can hardly do. You got the eyes right.

 

Anyway for training i suggest that you try drawing certain body parts that you have problems with. Like you can try looking at muzzles in the show. Then try drawing them several times. Ofcourse always with a pencil and a rubber. So that you can fix it. Then the back legs. Try drawing those separately. And the front legs too And then try drawing the head whole. 

 

 

 

Anyway i overall love the way you made the Tail and the Mane. I find it dazzling and great Here is how my OC looks like after i tried fixing a lot of things. Anyway i know its not great. And it took me some time to get him to be like this. I wont say that he looks great. But its not that easy to draw ponies when you have dislexia and bad handwriting.

It looks amazing. Better than anything I can ever do. All I can do is chibi ponies. You even got the hooves right, I can't even do those little points. Good job :3

Thanks u for the feedback it really hlps and the back leg lol it was late and just wanted to finish it and post lol but i fixed it ya the neck is a little long now that i look and thx about the eye lol i love eyes its my fav thing to draw cuz there is s much emotion an eye can sho but thx for the feedback and ill prob do more posts and if u want i could attempt to draw an oc of urs just email it to me gmail: ridenourbe@gmail.com

I don't think any art is ever bad, it's a creative expression of yourself.

 

I think the biggest improvement needed here is the legs. they are ll over the place, long and short, and doesn't look like she could successfully walk on them. Draw a ground line... that helps. they all have to hit the ground line, and the ones on the other side will he a different ground line.

 

Use basic shapes. Circle for the head, blocks for the legs, circle for the hind end. Figure out where everything goes with the basic shapes which you can erase later.

 

Then get rid of that lined paper and get some drawing paper instead! Good pencil sharpeners, erasers etc. all help.

 

I love her tail in your sketch.

Whenever I draw, I use what I call "skeletons" which are sketched rough polygons of what I want the image to essentially look like. My avatar, for example, I used one large circle for the head, circle for the chest, and small circles for the hands. Then, you can draw a line connecting them to express the way the body parts will bend, curve, etc. Even for the fingers, I had to draw small figures, I'm terrible with fingers!

Well its a pretty good drawing for a first one.

 

However a few things.

 

First of all the head is a little small in proportion to the rest of the body.

 

Second of all the neck is a bit long I think, possibly due to head size, but still a bit long.

 

Also on the back hooves they need more of that curve in them, because the back legs on ponies are generally curved.

Overall its pretty good, the mane is pretty well done overall.

 

I'd maybe if you want look at some pony anatomy guides, or even study real pony anatomy a bit, it'll actually benefit your drawings because you'll understand why ponies have this and that and where  the different joints are and stuff(Might take a bit of time though.)

 

Overall pretty good for a first time though.
