Applejack continued to look through the photo album, hoofpicking the pictures of her and Red. Photos from when they were just foals, pre-teens, and teens.

She looked at the picture of Red Talon's 6th birthday party, and how Applejack was eyeing the cake. The next photo was of her face full of the cake at that same party. She continued to look at these pictures, going through more party pictures, their first rodeo together, a victory lane celebration at his first ever NASCOLT win, and even their first school dance. She came across a picture of the two dancing with each other and having a great time. Finally, she found their senior prom photo. Applejack was wearing a rustic looking dress with cowboy boots, and Red Talon wearing a streamlined dress suit, with Red's hoof around her shoulder.

That's the closest ah ever got to him, she thought to herself, And probably the closest ah'll ever get...

((Currently trying to draw Autumn in her dress, should be up soon enough! Or maybe later because I'm just that bad a drawer))

 

Autumn looked down at the little colt after the hug "Oops. Sorry little guy" she said with an apologetic smile "Didn't see ya there" she patted him on the head then pulled back "Sorry, you're just such a cute little colt, heh" she sheepish grinned and turned to Evening. She was looking through the dresses, they were all so beautiful and elegant, how could she possibly choose? Autumn turned to another rack, a rack that would be more suitable for her and her role in the wedding.

 

Lace Dresses, satin dresses, cupcake dresses, goth dresses, long dresses, short dresses; All so pretty, it was really hard to choose. As she was going through them, she found one that caught her eye. Her eyes went wide and she used her magic to levitate it and bring it out, she was astonished, it was the most beautiful dress she had ever seen in her whole life, she was instantly in love with it.

 

It was a long, seashell white dress that had roses all around on the bottom/skirt of the dress (which was quite elegant and 'thin') with none on the top part of it, it had skinny little sleeves that would fall down to sit on the side of her leg. Clipped on to the top was a hair clip with a rose on it, the same shade of white as the dress. It was breathtakingly beautiful, she had to have that for her wedding dress. She walked towards the dressing room and into a stall, she closed and locked the door behind her and proceeded to carefully put it on while looking in the mirror.

Steel put a wing around Clover's shoulder and they both sat upon the bed.

 

"I can't imagine the pressure that has been placed upon you my lady." He said. "But . . . no matter what, this shouldn't be something you have to go through alone. You have DJ, the others, and . . . me." Steel looked into her eyes. "Whatever burdens you my lady, I will remain by your side." He sealed his promised to her with a kiss. 

Clover felt so grateful to Steel for understanding that she hugged him. "Thank you so much for listening," she said, feeling as tho a weight had gone from her mind. "Twilight said that Celestia would accord me the honour when she felt I was ready. It's just that I never even thought that my talent for inventing spells was anything special. But I suppose that Twilight's right; I have contributed a lot to magic, and I never even thought about it!"

After searching around the chapel for Sterling, DJ finally decided that he must have already left. He decided to go back to the hotel and get some sleep, as tomorrow was certainly a big day for everypony! Once he returned to the hotel, he knocked on the door to Vinyl's room and chatted with her for a while, before kissing her goodnight and returning to his own room.

 

He spent the next few hours trying to write a speech that would be worthy of the couple, before he felt satisfied with his work. As he looked up from his writing, he felt that something was a little odd. His eyes drifted towards his gem he had brought with him. For months, it had looked like any other normal jewel. Now... it was glowing...

Sterling had just finished his dinner with his parents. It was a wonderful dinner and it gave him much satisfaction that he was able to spend time with his parents before the wedding. Sterling walked back to his cozy apartment, noticing that Evening still hadn't gone back yet from her excursion with the wedding dress. 'Well wedding dresses are sure a hassle eh?' thought Sterling as he walked up to his room. He saw Ray sitting happily on his bird stand excited to see Sterling home. He also saw the bedroom cleanly made by his hands. Finally, he noticed that something was off... He saw a crimson glow from a closed drawer... Sterling wondered why it would be glowing, especially since he didn't have a crimson flashlight on hand. He opened the drawer and stared in wonder as his long forgotten jewel from the Odyssey began to glow...

"Wh-wh-what?" he stammered. "This hasn't done this since we were in the labyrinth! I thought it was just the darkness then, but..." As he stared at it, he began to trot carefully towards it. He reached out a hoof and touched the glowing jewel. The light was instantly snuffed out, and the gem looked much the same as it had before. As he took his hand away, it began to glow again. This was too much for DJ. Whatever was going on, it could wait. "Maybe I'm just seeing things!" he thought. "I really should get some sleep!" He trotted into the next room and got into bed. It took him a while to drift off to sleep, as the strange white glow from the next room kept him thinking about it. Eventually though, he drifted off to sleep.

Sterling looked at the red jewel that was now glowing in his drawer. Sterling could feel his eyes twinge at the sight. It was getting brighter and brighter, but he couldn't understand why exactly it was shining. He quickly closed the drawer in hopes of cancelling the jewel's blinding light. He then jumped into his bed and began to sleep dreamily, excited about the wedding and quickly ignoring the jewel's brightness...

Everywhere Sterling went, Blue went along with him. He wasn't quite sure why she was in his thoughts so much. Was it the fact she was a musician? Was it the fact she accompanied him even when the other ponies were calling him names and ruining his tenure at the University of Manehattan? Or was it her mane? Maybe it was everything, but Sterling didn't know! He definitely did NOT want a repeat of what happened in the past, so as hard as he could, he focused on his first set of readings for his biology classes and took down notes about eukaryotic cells...

Kismet watched as Evening rushed into the dressing room with a beautiful white dress in hoof. Kismet didn't get a chance to see the details, but she just knew that it would be beautiful.

After waiting for a few minutes, Evening emerged from the dressing room with a delightful smile on her face. Not to mention the most gorgeous gown Kismet had ever seen. It was absolutely breathtaking.

 

"Any stallion would be lucky to have a mare as sweet and beautiful as you, Evening. I love it." Kismet said tenderly.

When Neon got to her hotel she went to her room and slammed the door "After forever of not caring about me you suddenly come up to me and say you want to 'Catch up'?" Neon said to herself madly "Ugh" She said then sat down on her bed "Gotta stop talking to myself" Neon said then tried to go to sleep. She couldn't because of a light or glow distracting her, it was the gem. Neon looked at the gem confused. Why was it glowing now? She got up and covered the gem with clothes. It helped a bit. Neon sighed then got into her bed and went to sleep after a wile.

Seagallop that sank and killed over 750 passengers. Let us move into the entrance of Lehigh Cathedral where Patty Cohane is providing us with a news update on the marriage proceedings."

As Evening left, and came back out with her dress on, he sat there patiently.

"These dresses do not seem very practical... But I guess that is not important when it comes to this... When it comes to this, it looks good on ye, I guess." he said, as he had a quick look at the dress.

"I guess I will have to look for a dre-... tuxedo then... I would be happy if ye... Could help me. As soon as ye are done with ye dress-search, that is..."

"Where am I?" DJ said to himself, rubbing his head. He then realised he was in a dark room... alone. Suddenly, he felt a presence behind him. As he turned, he heard a rustling, and a dark figure quickly moved out of sight. "What..." he managed to say before a pair of red eyes opened, their burning glare boring into him, seeing his deepest fears. Suddenly, it rushed at him. As he cried out, DJ's eyes snapped open. He was lying in bed, safe and sound. He could still see his gem glowing in the dark in the next room. His head fell back on the pillow as he sighed. "Uh... I HATE nightmares!" he groaned.

Before leaving, however, Red noticed a gem that was glowing violently.

"What... the hell?" he said to himself as he approached it, "I need to talk to DJ about this." Red just stood there, slowly reaching his hand out to touch it. Right as his hoof was about to make contact, it suddenly stopped glowing.

"Huh?" Red said in surprise, "Weird..."

"Thanks Rick. I'm here at Lehigh Cathedral, one of the largest in Manehattan. And yes, the wedding of medical and musical phenom Sterling Crimson is set to marry the modest, shy Evening Glory as Manehattan students I interviewed have just told me. It has been said that the background between the couple is shady and unknown, something flipped from a fairy tale. A stallion meets an injured mare and instantly falls in love with her. The mare too feels this love and they built their relationship over the few months they traveled through the seas back to Baltimare. Nonetheless, an abdominal wound can be found on Sterling, which originated from what was said to be a sacrifice to save Evening from a tyrannical pony named Raven, now long dead. The success of the marriage remains to be seen, but the Equestrian participation is sure to make this a magical wedding. Patty Cohane, BBC, Manehattan."

Blue Note rolled out of bed. Why did Music Theory have to be so early? And why did she decide that practicing an hour beforehand was a good idea? She needed coffee. After getting ready, she set out for the day. On her way to a cafe, she found her mind wandering to lunch with Sterling. She had to admit she was a bit excited, though a little nervous about showing her piano playing. Still, it would be great to hang out with another musician. It would be great to hang out with anypony, really. Her semester was not the new start she had been hoping for, but today would be better...

Clover was about to say something else, when she noticed that her necklace was glowing. "How strange!" she said. She'd taken the necklace off before she'd gotten into the shower and had put it carefully on her bedside table. Now it sat there, glowing with a strong white light.

"I'm so glad that you like it," Kismet said as she admired her friend's dress, "It's perfectly gorgeous!"

 

"Do I sense that this is the one?" said a voice behind them. White Dove, the store manager, approached with a kind smile. "May I just say I couldn't have chosen a better one myself. And I have been in the business for 12 years! May I help you with your purchase?"

 

"What do you thing, Evening? You want to buy it? It's getting late anyway and you have a big day tomorrow!" Kismet turned towards her friend and asked. She gave an encouraging smile and waited for a response.

It was a new day for Sterling. After what happened on his first few days at university, he was so glad that things might be looking up for him. He found a cute mare for a change, and she loved music just like him! Even if the ponies would still make fun of him at will because of his clumsiness, at least he found a new friend to confide in. Plus, he'd be meeting her at lunch so he could show her his piano abilities. And right! She was also going to show her skills off to him! It was to be a very exciting day for Sterling as he attended his second Music Theory class...

As Evening had finished changing, she had stared into the mirror. Her appearance was.. different with the dress on, only in the slightest bits though, but she loved how she looked, she turned around and looked at the different parts, it was beautiful, it looked lovely on her. As she had walked out to show the others, she had a shy look on her face with a blush. She was flattered by her friend and her sister who had been staring at her with wide eyes ever since she had come out with her dress on.

 

At the present moment, as her friend asked her of the payment, she was smiling big

"Yes. It's so perfect, I simply cannot ignore this dress and not buy it." she beamed, she could see White Dove grinning, Evening took it up to the counter and asked her to hold..

..and turned to North "Of course I'll help you" she said with a smile, she looked around for the tuxedo part of the shop and found it next to the veils. She walked over there and motioned for him to come over "Any particular colours?" she asked politely.

Meanwhile, Autumn had found three dresses that she liked. While Evening had gone over to the little colt, she had slipped into the changing rooms to try on the dresses

 

The first one was quite short, it had one layer of a grey-silver silky fabric, the bottom of it had small frills and the sleeves were small and nearly thick but nearly thin at the same time. She slipped it on and looked in the mirror, it sure was pretty and comfortable but didn't look to good on her. She'd really love to wear it, but she ruled it out from her choices, she got it off and put it on its hanger, putting it on the small stool that was in the stall. That was one dress, two more to go.

 

The second dress was short too but was a bit longer than the last dress. It was also a silvery colour but was a more.. silver than the last one. It had no sleeves and two layers, for the skirt part; the bottom one a simple, silvery underlay and the top one longer and a bit glimmerly, beautiful and quite elegant. There was a thick, eggshell white ribbon belt dividing the top part from the skirt of it. Autumn had particularly liked this one, she put it on and again, stared at herself in the mirror. It looked nice on her, it was very nice indeed and made her.. feel like a bridesmaid, this dress was a possibility. She took it off and put it on its hanger, putting it on top of the first dress she wore. Two dresses, one left.

 

The third was probably one of the best ones, in her eyes. It too was a silver and had a bit of a dip at the front and thinnish sleeves. The top part and skirt part was separated by a small, black leather belt. The top had a very thin cotton layer that covered more of around her shoulders and neck. The skirt itself looked like a short version of a princess' skirt; from the belt it puffed out a little bit, it had multiple layers that made it prettier with each layer, there where thin, weak ones and others a strong silk or such, but they collided so perfectly it was hard not to love. She put on her last choice and looked in the mirror, this one was brilliant, it was the perfect bridesmaid dress for her. She grinned in the mirror and did a bit of a twirl and ended it with a giggle.

 

She keep the last dress on and put the other two on a nearby rack where the staff would but them back where they belonged. She walked out of the changing rooms and gave a friendly grin

"How does this dress look?" she asked. Evening turned around and gasped with a big smile

"You look lovely, Autumn!" she replied to her "That should definitely  be your dress"

"I suppose I'll buy it then"

"Hehe, great!" 

 

Autumn trotted back into the changing rooms to take it off as Evening turned back to North and helping him choosing his tux.

"I guess... Grey or something would fit me... Unless ye have a better idea?" he said, tilting his head slightly as Autumn came out to them. "That one looks fine on ye, I guess... A bit more practical, I see..." he said, as he also got a quick look at Autumn's dress.

Autumn had smiled at the colts reaction to her coming out with her dress on, she didn't mean to be rude but it amused her that he was contribuing to 'helping' the girls with their dresses, or rather talking about them with them, it was quite cute, to be honest. She had come out of the changing rooms and put her dress on the counter, she proceeded to pay for it

 

Meanwhile, Evening gave a smile to North's words. "I think grey would be great" she replied, looking through some of the smaller tuxedos that would be Norths size. She eventually brought out two grey tuxedos, both with a white shirt underneath any a black tie. One a work tie and one a bowtie, she asked him which one he'd prefer with a raised eyebrow and a smile.

Kismet was happy that Evening had found such a great dress that she could wear for her wedding. Soon after, Autumn emerged from her dressing room with an equally gorgeous dress that flattered her and looked great. Kismet complimented Autumn and turned back toward Evening. She was gone. Kismet looked around curiously and found that she and North had wandered over to the tuxedo section. Obviously little North had needed a tux for the wedding.

 

"He would look so cute in a little tuxedo," Kismet thought with a giggle. She trotted over and complimented on the grey suit that Evening had chosen. When she asked whether North preferred the work tie or bow tie, Kismet jumped in excitedly.

 

"Oh! North, you should wear the bow tie! Honestly it would be so cute! You would look very handsome." Kismet recommended kindly.

He took a good look at the ties. One looked a little funny, and the other looked like it would just hang a bit long on him...

After hearing Kismet's comment on it, he finally spoke:
"Well, if you say so... I will go with the bow tie... It looks like it would do, at least to me." he said, as he gave a nod.

Evening smiled, she put the tuxedo with the work tie back on the rack and handed the bow tie tuxedo to North

"Here you are. Go try it on and see if you like it" she said kindly, a thought occurred to her that worried her that she was being too, uh.. bossy, towards North. It was a really random thought but she really hoped she was being kind and polite enough towards everypony, she was excited for tomorrow and she was a bit tired, it was getting pretty late.

 

It was so kind of White Dove to keep the shop open until everypony had got their clothes for tomorrow, but as kind as it was, Evening sort of just wanted to go home and cuddle just next to @@Sterling Crimson and sleep before their big day,,

As Red was sitting in his hotel room, the phone began to ring. He trotted over to answer.

"Hello?" he said into the phone.

"Hey, Red, it's me," Applejack's voice on the other line said.

"Oh, hi AJ. How did you do curbing that stampede?"

"Ah, it was no big deal. When ya got a dog like Winona, it gets pretty easy. You gettin' ready for that wedding?"

"Yeah, already in my tux."

"Ah, sugarcube, before ya go, ah have to ask ya something."

Applejack was about to ask him who he truly loved, but decided not to due to the fact that his heart still belonged to Neon, he was quite upset about the breakup, and Applejack wasn't sure if he felt the same. Of course, Red didn't even know himself how he felt for Applejack.

"Ask," Red replied.

"...uh, well, when are ya gonna return home?"

"Probably be back by tomorrow. Why so?"

"Well, me and the family just bucked a fresh batch of apples, and ah was wonderin' if you'd like to come over for dinner one night. "Haven't done that in awhile, I'd love to. Get my mind off Neon with the company and all."

Is this it? AJ thought to herself. Is he finally trying to get over Neon?
