Cyber Bullying against bronies.

POW

Recommended Posts

Ok well ever since I've become a brony, I've been sorta bullieed on the internet by non-bronies who now hate me for no reason who used to be cool with me ._. I don't really understand it but sometimes its very hurtful and heartbreaking. I've been told to kill myself thousands of times now and i'm never going to do it of course but.... ya know it just hurts ;-;

I made a video about it even :D So you'll get to see part of my room and my face lol. Hope you enjoy my terrible vloggin.

Oh and just for all you disney fans here is something that will jog your memory and have something very nice to listen too 8D

Because they feel if they are friends with you, it would ruin their social status. Sad to say, but the heartbreaking truth. This is how sick some people are, thinking that making fun of somebody for liking something out of their gender base will make them seem more superior, and will start to compare. Truth is my friend...acting like a jerk won't get you anywhere in life. Those who do good deeds for others are likely to be the more successful.

Well no matter what you like it will always be trolled by someone. I have found that the best thing to do is to just ignore the trolls and continue on with what makes you happy. Besides if anyone trolls you for your'e own personal preferences in media and other aspects of life than probably not someone worth of acknowledging to or be bothered by. Hope all works out for you sincerely.

Ah bro, good video, but it is just this thing they like to do you know? I mean hating is their business, whether it be for just making people angry, getting a kick out of making other people feel sad, or just being a douche/troll. There's just nothing we can do about them in general, they will always be here no matter what we say or do, there will always be haters. The important thing is to not listen to what they say smile.png I actually find some hate comments to be rather humorous, just because of how outrageous they are laugh.png

But yeah, bottom line is just ignore them and forget about them, and just don't feed the parasprites wink.png

Yeah haha I mostly ignore them and that just gets them even angrier which is very amusing to me. It happened yesterday actually in a chat I was in. I completely ignored the troll for a full half hour while he was spitting nonsense at me. Even every single one of the other people in the chat went along with me and ignored him as well. The ending result was him rage quit leaving the chat. So after he left I was like, "UMAD BR0?"

Ahahahaha, that must have been so hilarious! laugh.png  That's just what you've gotta do bro, laugh at the hater instead of responding to him/her wink.png

K left a comment on your youtube vid.  I GET that it hurts. I think cyber bullying is the worst cuz it's right in your own room, on your phone, in your face and hits the spirit and soul while leaving the physical self empty.

K so they keep saying to kill yourself... Why? Because you like My Little Pony? I mean my god there are worse things in life you could like or be doing.

I really think that the bullies themselves act out of insecurity. You being a Brony somehow threatens their security as men/males/people or even as women. It's breaking down the social barriers that every one has set up around themselves and crossing those lines. They're scared.

Are Bronies so unacceptable to society? If so.. .all power to us. Gooooo Bronies!

So if the bullies are the insecure ones... WE need to be the ones who stand in our security.

"I'm not threatened by your remarks. I know who I am! i'm secure in myself. What you say to me, has not changed me, nor is it scaring me or making me not want to continue to be me. so back off, cuz your insecurity in yourself cannot break me down"

You take the hurt you feel, and you channel that energy into something else. For me, it's art, poetry, music, and all forms of creativity. Nothing is ever wasted! Some times we NEED those moments of pain, and great works come out of them...

Such as the video below...... my all time favorite Brony collaborative Video. One thing so great about bronies is... doing things like this together! So direct all Brony bullies to this vid and wash your hooves of them. Cuz united we stand!

Thanks a lot mike and sharing your opinion. Haters gonna hate so all we can do and pretty much want to do is laugh it off in their face without arguing back

LOL true but I guess for me I have more fun arguing back cuz I can out wit and out bully ANY bully. they have met their match in Mikestar Brony.

Bring it on!

I know not everyone can respond that way.

So if you ever need back up from a bully... I'm your pony!

One thing about internet bullies is that they are very pathetic. They act tough online but in real life are weak. Saying things like "go kill yourself" or other hurtful words. Best advice I can give is to just laugh at them. Laugh at how they have to say ugly things and be total jerks because you like something they don't.

It takes a lot of guts to put yourself out on a video and I've only done one video myself on YT where it was my thoughts on the Anti-Equestria Girls brigade of the internet, and I have also dealt similar random hatred.

Having seen your video now, from one brony to another I have respect for you. Rainbow Dash wouldn't want you to give a crap about haters and seeing you go about it this way is what she'd want. Keep on, fellow Brony.

hey. first of all, it goes without saying it takes strength to take such bullying on. it does not matter what they say, they will keep on doing it.

I actually have a theory as to why these people are hating and bullying. first, people are not inherently born bad or mean. they become that way through how they came to be. to fill that gap in their void, they have to equalize. make people who do not have such treatment come down to their level. in that, they can actually say things are fair. they lack something in their lives, they will make others pay to fill that unfair gap.

who do these people take on? not those that are next to them or just above. i mean, would machine-gun armed robbers take on a convenience store? no, that's a waste. they will take on a bank robbery. much more satisfaction, and they are capable of doing so. in a way, the internet gave everyone "machine-guns", the cyber-bullying that can take people down.

So why take us on? it is a very dumb idea to suppress something just because its "out of the norm", as that is suppressing progress. after all, progress is changing the norm. my theory is that we have something the rest of the world does not have but wants. A wonderful, secure, vibrant community. but these people are so afraid of stepping outside their boundaries, they don't want to go and get it. even though we are offering it(and forcing it) to them.

so what does the human mind do? "If I can't have it nobody can." the counter intuitive, win-lose connection our society makes. hence, they want to cause damage to us, so we can't have peace and harmony either. and they win if we let their arguments get to us.

so why do i think this way? well, if we are so against society and societal order, the governments will take action. think about it. terrorists started their ways as an interest, a belief. but it was against society. hence, governments take action. but since we are not being stamped out, or arrested on the street is a sign we are not a threat. it is just the people, and their way of reasoning.

haha exactly. I've seen some of the pictures they post, and a lot of them are of themselves and they are only mere 14 or 15 year old kids. And all they can think of doing is trolling on a computer all day. x)

^Yep like I liked Totally Spies and Kim Possible when I was smaller and no one cared, but now at 17 almost 18 I can't watch MLP? lolk we'll see.

Trolls man, trolls. They don't care who you are, they'll troll you. Luckily most of them are cowardly keyboard warriors that won't say it to your face.

Some people just hate anything that's outside of the norm.

To be fair, there's jerks in every group, including within the Brony fandom.

There's some who aren't Bronies, but pose as Bronies to troll others.

I've posted this before, but here's something Id' like to share with you.  It was created by a Canadian poet named Shane Koyczan, along with about 80(?) animators from various countries.  I discovered it from a tweet by Tara Strong.

Stay strong, and keep being the great person you are!

I used to be bullied at school, this combined with my Aspergers Syndrome made life difficult. I reacted by not caring what others thought, and I still don't. These days if someone makes fun of me for anything, I just do not care at all, or even respond in such a way to make it clear that their "insult" is a compliment to me.

I do understand that not everyone can do this though.

Funny how it actually happened to me on Friday. There was a massive troll in a chat I was in that was trying to make me mad. It almost worked until I thought to myself, hey this guy is just wasting his time. So he kept spitting shit at me but I kept talking in the chat like he wasn't there. He eventually left the chat as a sign of giving up. I lol'd.

Who cares about what people like that think? If they're really so judgmental that they would dislike somebody just because they watch a TV show, then they would be shitty friends anyway, you're better off without them.

Try not to let what they say get to you, because in the end, their words are only as powerful as you make them.

They do say "Sticks and stone can break my bone but words will never hurt me". Of course, words can hurt you, but only if you allow them.

This reminds me a dream I once had. Some ugly old woman came up to me and started telling me things like: "What a bad clothes you have on.", "What's wrong with your eyes? They look so dumb.", "Your hair is so messed up.", "What's that on your face? A pizza?", "Why are you so ugly?". At first, I didn't pay much attention to her. But the more she asked me such questions and I tried to answer them politely, the more I started getting involved in the conversation with her, defending my position and bouncing off her arguments, the more I was starting to look exactly how she was describing me. My hair became messed up, my eyes started to look dumb, my skin get creased and corpse-colored, and my face became covered by warts. I started to look like her. I was horrified, that she's a witch, and she cast a curse upon me! The more I believed it, the better her curse worked on me, and I became uglier and uglier!

But then, some beautiful voice coming out of nowhere, told me: "Don't listen to her. It's all lies. Don't believe her. She don't have any power upon you as long as you won't believe in her words."

So first I started to answer her with opposites. When she was telling me "You're ugly", I answered back: "No, I'm not. You're ugly.", with full confidence in my voice (I imagined that I'm a spellbinder myself, and my confidence gives power to my spells), and later on, I become bored, so I started to ignore her completely. Then she became more and more pissed off, and started to make mistakes. Me, on the other hand, started getting back to normal, and I become prettier and prettier, and I noticed that I'm getting lighter and lighter, to the point I started to float in the air, up up and away, leaving the old witch far below. I flew above the clouds, and then I noticed where the beautiful voice came from: there was a beautiful fairy girl sitting on the cloud, with butterfly wings and an a skimpy outfit made of flowers. She said to me: "See? I told you! Words can be powerful, but it is us who give them power. Learn how to use them wisely, to your benefit, and to your power."

Then I woke up. But I have this dream kept in the back of my mind forever. It was very inspiring and powerful.
