Ciel was about to take a bite out of her apple when somepony caught her eye. It was a beige-ish colored pony with a short yellow and orange mane. He seemed to be performing something akin to magic tricks. She had never been very interested in slight of hand or magic tricks to begin with, because her father had always told her how the performers did it, but she saw that other ponies were gravitating towards the magician, so she decided to as well. She had no intention of getting her hoof read though. That would probably be more trouble than its worth.

Starry sat on her bed, she sighed. "Guess I don't have a roommate..." She looked out of the widow wishing that she could venture about outside of the school. Ah well, she laid down relaxed for a bit. She thought about what would happen in her next class and if she would ever find the right stallion. Her mind drifted of into a sea of thoughts.

Whirl Wake turned back to Light. "Wait, you mean the hoof reading?" He looked back at the pony who was playing with the cards. "I doubt it. It's just for fun! This is college, after all." He smiled and looked into Light's eyes, the gaze lasting a little too long, before awkwardly coming back to reality and watching the magician do his thing.

"You there!" Steeleye said with a gesture to Whirl Wake. "Come have a look with me at what your future holds, in say... the next ten minutes or so!" Steeleye lifted his card deck with levitation magic and sent the individual slips fluttering through the air until they arrayed themselves in front of him, all one hundred sixty nine of them in a large square. The cards begin sliding around and changing places, with the various depictions shuffling with blinding speed until they condensed into the shape of a rolling pinwheel. Then, with a sound of paper against paper, they were all hanging flat in the air before Whirl Wake with their faces down so that they were hidden. "I promise not that I can guarantee your future, for I'm not a god now am I? What I can guarantee is that in some way these cards will tell something about you. What that is, I don't know. Select seven cards from those in front of you and pass them over here."

Whirl Wake laughed and took seven cards from the deck, passing them back to the strange pony. He had gotten a glance at the cards, and noticed nothing suspicious about them. "Well?" He said excitedly. "You have my fortune?" He smiled playfully, knowing in his head that it wouldn't really affect anything.

Inks stood back a little. I wonder what would happen if I messed the cards up? He didn't have to know it was me. A quizzical look came upon Inks' face. why did he think weird thoughts like that all the time? "What ifs". Things that if he thought about that he would never actually do. He watched diligently as the unicorn worked, interested in what would happen.

Light Eye seemed somewhat impressed, but probably moreso due to the theatrics that the magic that had been presented. She looked at Inks face and saw his expression. "What presses your mind?" she asked. "You know it's probably just charlatan work, right? Prophesy is a ludicrously high level skill, and as cool as this ponies cardwork may be, actually predicting future events is pretty much beyond him. Unless he's actively changing our future. In which case, watch out for the Tower."

Inks looked at Light. "You never know. Some ponies have crazy talents. A friend of mine in Baltimare can generate electricity and do crazy stuff with it, and he's not even a unicorn. But what tower are you talking about?" Inks had no idea what Light was talking about. In his mind, it seemed pretty random to all of a sudden mention an architectural structure in a conversation about magic stuff.

"I guess... Perhaps it would behoove us to wait and see the result, then," Light Eye said thoughtfully, scratching her chin with one hoof. "Anyway, the Tower is one of the Tarot cards. There are 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana, all of which have unique meanings and symbols. Of them all, the absolute worst is the Tower. It means tragedy, destruction, doom, chaos, no matter which way it faces. Almost every other card has a positive spin in some way, but the Tower is almost universally a bad sign. I wouldn't worry on it too much, though: you have a .088% chance of getting it, less than a 1 in 100 chance. Though if it's destiny..."

Inks had a look of surprise on his face. "I'm quite surprised. Uh, don't take this the wrong way, but you don't seem like the kind of pony who knows stuff like that. Seems too... dark for someone like you."  He grinned at the obvious pun on her name that he made. "I probably won't do this thing though. Not really one for having my destiny told to me. I'd rather it all play out on it's own." INks glanced at his own flank. Although, it would be nice to know if i'll be a blank flank forever. He pushed the thought aside ad continued watching Whirl Wake and the mysterious unicorn.

Light Eye chuckled at the pun and bumped him with her flank playfully. "I make sure to study up on just about any subject. A fortune teller trotted through our town and sold the service when I was filly, so I studied up on all the meanings and everything. It's all pretty interesting. Did you know it represents  a theoretical journey to godhood? You start up at the Fool, who's infinite potential and work through all the stages until you reach the World, which is ultimate enlightenment."

Inks was honestly interested in the subject. He never knew much about tarot cards, but now that he heard stuff about it it intrigued him. "That's sounds really interesting. It's probably something I'd be interested in." On certain occasions, Inks would find a sunjct that intrigued him and would go on a study rampage and learn tons of things about it. One example of this would be mythology. He still liked mythology, and was excited that there was a class dedicated to it, but he's not as obsessed with it as he once was.

The only subject I've ever been able to stay on past learning all of the secrets was my special talent, but you probably know that, since you've been gazing at my plot so longingly." Inks face sank into a deep red color. "No! What? No.. I didn't... I didn't do that... I um..." Inks once again felt extremely awkward. Buckin... I just started getting comfortable too! Inks sighed, and before he could stop himself, a comment that was very unlikely of him came out of his mouth. "Well with the way your flirting with me I assumed you wouldn't mind that." He said the sentence with a grin, showing that what he said was also just a joke. Did you just say that? Why would you say that? You made it sound like...

Light Eye let forth a full-fledged laugh this time. "Well, yes, I suppose you've got me at that. But we've known each other for thirty minutes now." Her voice dropped and become very lustful, "Let's save that 'til the first date, hm?" With her tail she gently swished up his back and then sauntered off to get a closer look at the Tarot card reading, exaggerating her every step as she did so.

Inks stood there, stiff as a board. The whole ordeal had gone better than he expected. He was glad that Light had her back turned towards him. he forced himself to loosen up a bit. He stepped forward as well so he could see the what was going on. His mouth was dryer than ever before, and he wanted for this whole fortune telling thing to hurry up and get on with it.

Whirl Wake noticed the orange pony coming up beside him. He leaned towards her, his eyes still fixed on the fortune teller. "He's been looking at the cards for a while now. I wonder what my fortune will be!" He turned back to Inks for a second and then looked into Light's eyes. "Based on what I heard it seems Inks has really opened up to you! Just so you know, I'd prefer you two not to, *ahem,* get to know each other better in our dorm. I don't wanna be kept awake all night!" He laughed at himself, easily seeing how much Inks liked the mare.

More like she just loved everypony, and everypony seemed to love her. It was a bit strange, even she knew that, but in a society as accepting as the pony one, no one seemed to question her too much.

I walked into the dorm after signing up (I'm fast forwarding) I see my room mate had already been in there and unpacked, I set my bags on the vacant bed and start unpacking.
When finished I get up and leave at the sound of the speakers telling us to go to see an announcement. (Fast forward to food court)
I walk in (let's just say it on time and...I think you get it) *grab food sit down* I whip my dark gray blue highlighted mane when I walk for a table *i don't know anyone here, gues that's what happens when you don't run into your room mate.
I adjust my crippled wing (it's angled so its noticeable) and stand there in able to find a table to sit at.

Elipsis:
Elipsis was bawling "Why did I have to be late on the first day!!!!" She yelled to herself. I gotta hurry!
She quickly gets to the front desk and swiftly sights the paper not allowing the pony sitting there say anything, then sprinting to her dorm (#4) she swings it open and throws her bags in without care and slams the door shut. Sitting on the vacant bed. And calms down. *the papers said that some pony named Ceil is my room mate*the thought than said under her breath" I should try to meet her...." Elipsis didn't know where to look though. *ill start with the food court*
(At the food court) *what does she even look like, Eli you dummy...I guess I'll have to sit somewhere...I am pretty hungry...* Elipsis gets some food and looks for a table.

Whirl Wake looked up and down the earth pony. "Well," He said, raising an eyebrow and putting on a mischievous grin. "You've got confidence down, no doubt about that. Evidently you are intelligent as well." Whirl thought before replying again. "I'm gonna be honest, you are pretty sexy." He laughed, afterwards letting his face get slightly more serious. "Just... Don't hurt anypony, alright? With great power comes great responsibility."

Psych Ward silently sat at the table, watching the tarot card holder do his work.  It wasn't that fascinating, but she was getting pretty bored.  She contemplated getting up and getting water so she could take her pills, but decided against it.  She didn't want to seem rude.  She would wait until they all got up to get their food.

Nodding in satisfaction, Whirl turned back to the fortune teller. "Well, yeah, but it's still fun to have somepony read a fortune to you, be it fake or not." He observed as the seemingly focused pony looked at the seven cards. "Who knows? Maybe you will hear the fortune and do something different, changing your life for the better!"

Starry teleported to cafeteria, she wasn't hungry but she was bored and lonely. (She's a unicorn, they can do that.) Starry sat at a far end of a table and started reading, she also listened to the murmurs of ponies talking, she didn't know why but it was relaxing to her. Some conversations were serious, some were funny, some were sad, etc. after about five minutes she found herself listening to the conversations more then just reading. Well, of course she pretended that she was reading.
