After Leon took his case and Pokedex he walked over to the gym, ignoring the battle going on in the middle of town.

"Skyla:The Highflying Girl" read the sign outside of the gym. "Something tells me this Skyla girl is a flying type trainer." Leon said before walking into the gym.

 

[are we gonna have the puzzles from the games or will we just skip to the gym battle?]

((Skipping straight to the gym leader, as that's what it is in the anime most of the time.))

 

Skyla seemed to be just getting back from a flight. Fortunately, there were no other challengers there. She giggled softly, before saying "Finally! A challenger! ... You are a challenger, right?"

@@Ampharos, "OKAY DIG!" Harley hit the dirt and burrowed, barely missing the lightning. I smiled. "When's he gonna come up? I haven't got a clue. He'll come up when he feels like it." Maybe he was listening, and maybe he just felt like it, but Harley decided that was the time to pop out of the ground, right under the Mareep.

(GROUND TYPE MOVE BIATCH)

Scape looked around frantically. He felt a sudden force underneath him as he was hit with Harley's attack. The super effective move caused Scape yo collapse to the ground and faint. Locke returned Scale to his pokeball. "Nice one man. I knew I would be at a disadvantage. I brought a few revives with me cuz I hate going to Pokemon centers." He released Scape and force fed the unconscious Pokemon the revive. Scape woke up with a jolt. Literally. Locke was shocked by the mareep. He laughed and sprayed the Pokemon with a potion. ((Cuz I guess that's how potions work.))

Over here!" After Harley finished getting the spores off, we started making tracks for the gym, passing by the girl who was handing out Pokedexes earlier. Harley seemed to take an interest in her. By "taking an interest", I mean "eating her shoes".@,

"Ah! What are you doing?!" Stella squealed as Aron bit her shoes. Which was mostly because she couldn't kick it off, as to not look bad, like she would have normally done. Since she definitely wanted the Aron to be gone, though, she randomly picked one of the pokeballs on her necklace and summoned the pokemon in it. Happily, it was Oddish instead of Swablu. Oddish was much powerful in comparison to Swablu, but even so, wasn't always the best at decision making. As per normal of it's first attack, it attacked the Aron with a Grass Knot, hoping to trip it and stop it for a second. Of course, the grass knot also had the negative effect of also tripping Stella, letting her land with a thud and a somewhat embarrassed and somewhat angry "Ugh!" 

 

Oddish stopped in her tracks. Not because Stella was now on the floor, but because she had forgotten Aron was a steel type, and that her next attack wouldn't affect him.

Mareep gave a quick nod as Joe left. He patted on the head and looked around. He noticed a girl that had been watching the battle. He now blushed with embarrassment as he realized he had been beat so easily. "Oh um, hey. I'm uh... Locke..." Locke wasn't too fond with talking to girls. It made him feel uncomfortable.

Mareep gave a quick nod as Joe left. He patted on the head and looked around. He noticed a girl that had been watching the battle. He now blushed with embarrassment as he realized he had been beat so easily. "Oh um, hey. I'm uh... Locke..." Locke wasn't too fond with talking to girls. It made him feel uncomfortable.

Marceline smiled, and got up from her seat. "Hey! That was a great battle.. But everyone loses now and again. I'm Marceline. Hey, you're traveling Unova, right?" she asked. "Maybe we can travel together?" She then realized how forward that was. "Uh, only if you want," she said, trying not to sound stupid or slip up.

"Um... I guess.... I mean, yea. It'd suck to travel this place alone." Locke gestured towards the mareep near his leg. "Uh, this is Scape. I'm from Ecruteak in Johto. I took on the Johto League but... decided that Unova was better for me." He smiled nervously. He was most likely not going to tell anyone that the real reason he left Johto was because Claire served him on a silver platter 19 times in a row.

"Oh cool! I'm from Johto too!" Marceline smiled, taking the small Totodile out of her backpack. "This is Totodile. I kind of beat the Elite Four in Kanto.. but the champion proved too much for me. Locke smiled. "Oh uh, that's pretty cool... Where in Johto are you from?" At the sight of Marceliine picking up her Totodile, Scape looked up at his trainer. Locke chuckled a bit. "Sorry Scape, I don't think I can carry you bud. Or at least for an extended period of time." Locke chuckled again.

"I'm from Cerulean City." Marceline said, looking down at Scape. She gave him a warm smile as she looked back up at Locke. "But hey, aren't you going to fight Skyla..? Her gym is right over there. You can get started," Marceline said. The Totodile hopped off her shoulder and greeted the Mareep still grounded.

Marceline blushed. "I meant Cianwood.. I'm so stupid!" she half frowned, half chuckled. "Well, you might want to heal up before you go to face Skyla. Scape looks pretty beaten up."

As Marceline walked into the Pokemon Center, she noticed the person Locke was battling earlier. He was apparently talking--flirting with the girl who was handing out the Pokestuff. She rolled her eyes as she went into the Center to heal the Mareep Locke battled with.

Stella sighed. The predicament she was in was anything but fine, but she had to keep her cover. "It's... Fine." She said, getting up. "Uhm... I suppose. You're the one Swablu took a liking to... Right?" Oddish snickered.

"I'm Stella..." The girl muttered. "As far as wild pokemon go, there's Chargestone Cave just south of here, and Route 7 north. Plus that tower thing on Route 7. I'll be going to 7, as there's a pokemon I'm interested in that are supposed to live there... But Chargestone has a lot of electric types..."

Locke had followed Marceline into the pokemon center since mareep needed to be healed. As he walked in, he heard what Stella had said. "You wanna go to route 7 Scape? Don't think I need another electric type." He put Scape back in his pokeball and handed it to the nurse behind the counter. He had never really understood why they all looked the same. She gave Locke the pokeball after Scape was healed. He then turned to Marceline. "So yea I think I'm gonna head up to route 7. Do you uh... wanna come?"

Marceline turned around and smiled. "Um, sure.. it'd be fun to explore a little bit. I think I need to train a little anyways, so should we head out now?" she asked. She bought a few Potions to heal up, and put Totodile in her bag. She figured Route 7 might be a bit dangerous.

"Uh yea now's fine. Um... I think I have some pokeballs so I'm good there. Alright let's go then." Locke let Scape out of his pokeball. He enjoyed letting at least some of his pokemon follow him. Locke began to leave he pokemon center, and looked at his map to see where to go.

Marceline smiled. "Well, this will be fun. Totodile is only level 12 at the moment, so I guess she can sit out. It's right over there, apparently. Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go..!" she said, grabbing hold of Locke's hand and running towards Route 7.

@, (( Locke's is in my first post on this thread. I'm going to assume that the pokemon on route 7 are nerfed, cuz it wouldn't make much sense for low leveled pokemon to fight level thirties >.<))

 

Locke blushed furiously when Marceline grabbed his hand, but he didn't pull away in case it seemed rude. Marceline led him out of the city and up to the route they wanted to go to. He let go of Marceline's hand so it wouldn't be awkward. "Uh... Scape's level 13 right now. So he'll be a flaffy soon." Locke looked down at his pokemon, who hated being called a female. And now he would be pink. Scape was probably dying to become an ampharos just so he would be assumed of being male rather than female.

Marceline smiled. "Well, I'm sure he'll be a Flaaffy by the time we get out of here," Marceline winked. She walked through the path, looking up at the tall grass that seemed to glare at her with pokemon after pokemon, hissing. She noticed a small cottage up ahead and looked back at Locke. "You coming?"

Locke had been looking around for some pokemon and hadn't realized that Marceline had kept walking. "Huh? Oh, yea." He walked over to where Marceline was standing. "Do you know what that is? I'm not really familiar with anything in Unova just yet. I don't even know what pokemon are on this route."
