The Totodile growled at the Oddish, and threatened with a small bite. "She's not usually this way with strangers. Usually she's so welcoming!" she said to Stella. "I'm Marceline." she said, putting out her hand. "I'm really sorry she's treated you this way." Marceline said.

The Totodile growled at the Oddish, and threatened with a small bite. "She's not usually this way with strangers. Usually she's so welcoming!" she said to Stella. "I'm Marceline." she said, putting out her hand. "I'm really sorry she's treated you this way." Marceline said.

"Well... Hi Marceline! I'm Stella." The girl replied, though not bothering to shake Marceline's hand back. "It's fine... It might be that the poor thing thought Oddish knocked it out instead of Blitzle or something... I heard fainting could distort pokemon's memories sometimes... But I'm sure your Totodile is an absolute gem...!" Oddish used one of her leafs to tug on Stella's leg. It seemed like it was just about done with the whole charade. "Well, we need to be going then! Bye!" She said in response to Oddish, turning to walk away.

Marceline watched as Stella walked away. Totodile kept tugging on Marceline's leg. She nodded. "Yeah.. there's something weird about her.." she said to Locke. "Well, are you going to catch some more Pokemon?" Marceline smiled at Locke. She healed up Totodile to full health, and looked up at Locke.

"I think the better question is, are you? All you have is Totodile right now and though I'm sure she's a great pokemon you should probably catch more. I should probably train Cubchoo though. She doesn't know me very well yet..." Locke let out his new pokemon. She looked at him, having a somewhat scared look on her face. He remembered that she was shy. He knelt down next to her. "Hey it's okay. I'm Locke. This is Scape. And that's Marceline." The Cubchoo looked a little less nervous at the sound of Locke's soothing voice.

Marceline smiled. "I already got a bit of Pokemon while I was traveling here to Mistralton City.. So I don't necessarily need some. They're in my PC right now. I just brought Totodile here because she likes space." 

 

Meanwhile, Totodile was standing next to Cubchoo. It waved happily at the Cubchoo as a sign of welcome.

Marceline watched as Stella walked away. Totodile kept tugging on Marceline's leg. ((Now is the time I actually write up what's on the route.))

 

Route 7. Route 7 was known for having some of the tallest grass in all of the Unova region. Some of it reached over the heads of full grown adults. Some Deerling were frolicing in a place with short grass, and a few Blitzle ran around in short grass as well. Some Pidove flew overhead. From the distance, a soft cry could be heard from a pokemon seemingly in pain.

 

((The crying pokemon is minneeeeee... But I would highly endorse checking out what's happening there, anyway.))

Cubchoo nervously waved back and sniffled. Locke laughed a little and looked at Marceline. "Maybe it'd be best if Cubchoo faced Totodile instead of a wild pokemon. She seems to be at least somewhat friendly towards Totodile, and it would probably be safer than some random Blitzle attacking her."

@, "All right, cool. I'm gonna check out that tower. See you around, then. Oi, Harley, get over here!" I gathered up Harley and headed to the tower in the distance. Of course, that Stella hadn't thunk to tell me it was blocked off by water, so that was out. When I came back, there was that Stella again! "HEY!"

(Yes, her name is "That Stella" now.)

Marceline smiled. "Okay. Let's go!" She walked over to a small plain that would be good for a battle. She brought Totodile over, and smiled. "Okay, try your best, Totodile." She nodded as Locke walked over to the other side of the plain. "Ready?" she asked Locke for assurance.

Skyla giggled again. "I like your attitude! So, how does a 3 v 3 battle sound?" She paused. There were likely to be a lot of trainers without many pokemon. Unprepared trainers, to be more specific. "Unless you don't have that many..." She said in a sarcastically sympathetic tone.

Leon glared at Skyla, picking up her sarcasm. He quickly brushed it off and said "Well, you see I only have two Pokemon. But I was planning to finish this fairly quickly anyway so I think I'm okay." Leon responded trying to sound calm. On the inside, though, he was a bit embarrassed. He knew he wasn't prepared for a serious fight considering he was low on potions and one of his two Pokemon was extremely weak to flying types.

Locke nodded at Marceline. "Cubchoo! Powder snow!" The pokemon looked slightly surprised that she was in a battle. But her pokemon instincts kicked in and a cold breeze began to form in her mouth.. He breathed out and a cold wind along with several flakes of snow shot towards Totodile.

Marceline wanted to make the Cubchoo feel special, so she didn't let Totodile dodge it. "Totodile, use Bite!" she said to Totodile as the Totodile ran towards Cubchoo and let out a huge bite.

Leon glared at Skyla, picking up her sarcasm. He quickly brushed it off and said "Well, you see I only have two Pokemon. But I was planning to finish this fairly quickly anyway so I think I'm okay." Stella jumped. The loud booming voice certainly startled her. She didn't really want to have anything to do with this man anymore. He bothered her. She was certainly too busy to have to bother with the likes of regular trainers. But, knowing she couldn't cause an uproar, Stella politely replied "Hi..."

"Totodile, use Scary Face!" she said as Totodile's face shifted into a dark, red eyed monster look.

(( OOC: Wow. Stella sounds like such a jerk. Sorry I was gone.. had to take a shower. I usually take two minute showers, but, oh well.. Anyway, battle RP is so confusing.. I mean, nobody really wants their Pokemon to faint and lose so.. ))

Locke was indifferent about Totodile using Scary Face. On one hand, it didn't damage Cubchoo. On the other hand she now has less damage to deal to Totodile. Cubchoo's body was palely illuminated, and the energy from Totodile's Bite was doubled and released towards her.

Totodile was confused at Locke's expression. Blank. It hopped up and down, waving around and going into circles. It smiled hopefully at Locke.

Oddish, who was still out of her pokeball, took quite unkindly to an Aron upsetting her trainer. And with that, used one of her leaves to get it off in the most civil way possible. And that meant flicking the Aron away with a leaf. Stella didn't seem very amused, and immediately got up, before replying to the man's question. "Well, I'm not. I was just helping out... As far as the colors go, he-" Stella's voice was interrupted by a piercing cry. She seemed to recognize it. "Oddish! We found it! Come on!" She said, excitedly chasing the sound.

@, Well, I had no idea what was going on, but I figured "it" might be a good thing to take a picture of to put in the roadbook. Me and Harley hotfooted it after that Stella, but Harley took the lead. He might be a Steel-type, but he sure isn't as slow as some of them are!

Eventually, both Oddish and Stella made it to the source of the cry. As expected, it was a Seviper and Zangoose fighting each other. The Seviper looked badly injured, while Zangoose looked about ready to give it the final blow. Oddish was just in time to intervene, though. Tripping the Zangoose with a Grass Knot. Stella chuckled happily. "About time we found a Seviper, huh Oddish? You just hold back Zangoose so we can catch it."

Cubchoo was beginning to feel weak. After about 4 swipes at Totodile, Cubchoo escape grasp and jumped back. She staggered, before collapsing on the ground and fainting. Lock returned Cubchoo to her pokeball. "Today's just not my day. Good battle. Guess I should train with wild pokemon."

"Yeah.. Totodile is feeling pretty weak." Marceline revived Cubchoo. "Sorry.." she laughed. She gave a potion to each of them. "Well, good luck catching new Pokemon.. I think you should aim for that Zangoose. I'll ask those people in the shack for somewhere to rest. We're pretty far away from the city." She walked away over to the shack.

Leon was relived when he saw Skarmory, surely Cyndaquil could take down a steel type. "Alright let's show her what we're made of Cyndaquil!" Leon said sending out the fire type which yawed and looked around as if it had been asleep for a while, which it was. "Now lets soften this thing up with a Quick Attack." Cyndaquil then ran at Skarmory reaching blinding speeds.
