My newest OC (Not a Zombie)

I was thinking of ideas for a new OC and might have came up with something neat but I need YOUR thoughts!!(She is still in development)

 

Her name is Marrian Ne'tt (Neigh) its a pun on the word Marionette - A puppet on string use for entertainment and other purposes.

 

Her special talent is the fact that she is a Puppet Master or "Manipulator"

Her appearance may change nothing is official!!

I'm still thinking of a Cutie Mark I had one but remembered there are no hands in Equestria...   and also I should note I accidentally gave her a Derp face... my bad

Hm.. Well as far as the backstory goes I think shes really interesting. Definitely I must say a pretty original concept as far as I've seen, so kudos for that .

 

Now as for the design, well honestly I dunno I normally have nothing to say on that, only thing I really can ever say and critique is color scheme, which you don't have quite yet, and even then I don't like to critique it a whole lot. I did spend quite a bit of time adjusting that when I made my OC. 

 

Funny enough the derp eyes are almost fitting for her, of course it depends on how crazy you want her, like as a crazy puppet master, or just one that entertains. If its for a crazy one I think the derpy eyes are quite fitting, otherwise i'd keep them normal.

 

But overall looks good so far! .

Well when I posted my last OC someone brought up the fact that they were glad I didn't make her evil so I'm currently contemplating on if I should or not. It would certainly make her backstory really easy to come up with...

I thought more people would of got a kick out of the Applebloom and Sweetie Belle puppets but now I kinda get the feeling it gives her a creepy/voodoo doll type vibe!!

Hmm, maybe hooves over a crystal ball for her cutie mark if it extends beyond the physical dolls, or you know you could just have a pony puppet there.

I most likely will make her evil it will make some interesting outcomes one things for sure I need to come up with a better Mane style cuz at the moment I kinda borrowed Fluttershy's Mane design and that's NO GOOD!!

A real good question is are they actually puppets? Apple Belle & Sweetie Bloom!!

One thing I should mention is I am aware of Discord and the fact that he is frequently shown manipulating the Ponies like puppets I am not stealing this idea nor did it inspire me to draw this!! Don't get any ideas...

Please don't, we already got far too many "evil" and "edgy" OCs floating around.

Why not just make her a puppeteer and part of a traveling fair?

 

Anyway love the design, especially the dolls.

How about a puppeteer's control bar (the cross thingie) for a cutiemark?

I have come to my conclusion for everything!!!

 

On the Alignment Scale, Marrian is "Neutral Good" but as for the puppets they are "Neutral Evil". In other words she will never harm a fly but the puppets on the other hand don't take kindly to any "neigh-sayers" as Trixie would put it!! 

 

If your a Naruto fan I have also borrowed concepts from Gaara and Kankurō... (They are my favorite)

Another thing I noticed was that her eye refelctions (little white circles in the eye) are missing. Is that intentional?

Sorta this is merely a concept art and I have some what came up with her official design just working the kinks out to fit it in with her backstory.

HOW COME WE HAVE SUCH SIMILAR OC'S.

First you have a carnivore one, as do I.

And now you have a puppet-master one, as do I. (Actually, technically two, but that's just with story arcs.)

Well, once you work out a colour scheme, I'd love to see. But I would try to give her a more distinctive appearance.

Yea i'd say it is rather uncanny that this keeps happening an all... I guess its nice to know that I'm not as insane as I think I am
