Fallout 3's intro. It always sends a chill down my spine whenever I here that singing start up and it pans out of Washington DC/Capital Wasteland. New Vegas was alright but I liked F3's more.

Fallout 2 has the best intro. It starts with a fun little educationnal short and leads you to believe that this is going to be the glorious opening of the vaults and the rebuilding of civilization...and then in comes the brutality of the Enclave.

Everybody in here needs to play more Fallout 2, because none of the other games have shit on FO2. Intro's included. Except FO1, that one has a great intro.

Well, everybody except Fluttermena, because he already knows what's up. However, he didn't post the full intro:

Although I have to confess that Fallout 2 has it's share of flaws. Yes, the story is the best, but it's damn near unplayable without any kind of mod to patch the godawful bugs, and I'm not really a fan of Black Isle's turn-based, top-down view gameplay. Bethesda's first-person gameplay is less clumsy and more immersive.

You say that as if 3 and NV didn't have hideous bugs that require patching... ;)

And as for gameplay, to each his own. I've always loved tactical games, and I also love first person style games, so I'm fine with either. Bethesda certainly knows how to make first person RPGs, but they're not very good at conveying Fallout; hence why FONV was a lot more Fallouty than FO3. Bethesda's influence was mostly confined to gameplay, while Obsidian did story and setting.

I'm glad the series got a ton of new fans with 3, I'm just sad that so many of them set their standard by FO3 :(

I really liked Fallout 3's Intro....It was rather shocking to see how the world was when the camera panned out. all I could think of was"....Damn..." Like as if there were no civilization anymore.

I liked New Vegas too, but it wasn't as heartfelt IMO as Fallout 3's.  Sure the sniper shot was cool, but that's all I liked about it.

I"m stoked for Fallout 4.

I kinda forget what Fallout Tactics was....I enjoyed that game too.

Man does this take me back. I've played every Fallout 'cept BOS for the X-Box. I have to say, Fallout 3's intro was very well done, but Fallout 2's had a way bigger shock value. NV's intro was more about the player than the story in my opinion, but it wasn't too bad.

I've never played the earlier fallouts, but fallout 3 is one of my favorite games of all time! :squee:

I love fallout 3's intro, but hopefully 4's will be even better. The intro to New Vegas was pretty good too.
